Gojo Satoru: The Strongest Sorcerer Among Exorcists

Chapter 25: Chapter 24: You Sneaky Bastard

Scarlet blood splattered across the corners of the room, its nauseating stench quickly filling the air.

Gojo Satoru grimaced, his face twisted in disgust.

What a stench.

"Hahaha—"

Despite having five gaping holes punched through his body, Kakekin grinned manically, laughing uncontrollably.

He could feel it—there was a demon responding to his call. And judging by the sensation, it wasn't a weak one.

At least a mid-tier demon.

My lord, don't blame me. I've just arrived in this world and haven't even had the chance to enjoy it properly. I'll have to rely on you to save me!

The blood splattered around the room began to pool together, forming a crimson hexagram that pulsed faintly with light.

At the same time, Kakekin's body underwent a change. His once robust figure shriveled, his muscles weakening, and his face showing profound exhaustion.

Finally, as the hexagram's glow reached its peak, a towering figure materialized at the center of the summoning circle.

"My lord, warmest greetings—"

Shhk!

The sound of flesh being pierced rang out.

"My... lord?"

A sudden, searing pain in his chest forced Kakekin's gaze downward. There, he saw an arm thrust through his heart. His expression froze in disbelief.

The heart—source of a demon's power and life force. If destroyed, their strength would vanish, and death would often follow immediately.

Anywhere but the heart... you must always protect your heart.

"You pathetic little demon. Did you think your lowly blood was enough to summon me? Hah. I just wanted a new vessel."

The figure in the hexagram was a middle-aged man.

With a cruel sneer, he tightened his grip. Kakekin's heart exploded in his hand, blood bursting outward.

The lifeless body of Kakekin collapsed to the ground.

He hadn't died by Gojo Satoru's hand but rather by the very demon he summoned—a truly laughable fate.

"Oh~ so you're my new vessel, are you?"

Licking the blood from his fingers, the man's eyes burned with desire as he looked at Gojo.

If that lowly demon had to lure me with its own blood, this human must have power. A lot of it.

"Tell me, are you an Onmyoji? Or an exorcist?"

It didn't matter. Whether an Onmyoji or an exorcist, possessing their body would amplify his strength significantly.

His current vessel—a regular human—was already falling apart under the strain of his power. It was nearing its limit.

"No matter. Once I take this body, I'll find out."

"Are all demons this blindly overconfident?"

Gojo Satoru smirked, his tone dripping with boredom.

He had hoped the summoning would bring forth a truly formidable demon. But it turned out to be nothing more than a slightly bigger ant.

What a waste of time.

"Confident or not, you'll see soon enough."

Demonic energy surged as the man's features became more grotesque, taking on demonic traits.

But as he laughed, his expression began to twist—first into confusion, then into outright terror.

"Impossible!"

A panicked roar escaped his lips.

"Oh, come on. Scared already? You're kidding me, right? Weren't you just saying I'd see your confidence in a moment?"

Gojo's teasing voice echoed, his grin widening.

He had never hidden his cursed energy, and it was clear the demon was overwhelmed by it.

What an idiot. Took you this long to figure it out.

If you'd realized earlier and begged for mercy, maybe Gojo-sama would've given you a dignified death.

The demon trembled in fear, his mind consumed by panic.

The immense pressure of Gojo's cursed energy made him feel as if he were standing before Satan himself.

Where the hell did this human powerhouse come from?!

His thoughts raced, laced with curses. This guy's a sneaky bastard!

Before Gojo revealed his power, he had seemed so ordinary—human, weak, insignificant. But the moment his energy flared, it was so overwhelming it felt like it could suffocate him.

This human... was beyond terrifying.

"Okay, your comedy routine was entertaining enough, but I'm getting bored now. I still need to grab some food, so let's wrap this up."

As Gojo spoke, the demon's instincts screamed for him to run. He turned to flee but hadn't taken a single step before Gojo's gaze locked onto him.

[Limitless Technique]

Boom!

The demon's limbs exploded into a shower of blood, leaving him writhing on the ground in agony.

"Aaaaghhh!"

His screams echoed, but they were abruptly cut off when Gojo's foot came down hard on his mouth.

"Do all demons sound this awful when they scream?" Gojo asked, crouching down and tilting his head, his face blank.

"Mmph! Mmph!"

The demon squirmed and tried to speak, his eyes wide with desperation.

"Begging for mercy? Want to be my lapdog?"

Gojo easily understood the demon's garbled pleas but responded with a sneer of utter disdain.

"You? A mere ant, my lapdog? Dream on."
