Goddess Rescue System

Chapter 10: Mysterious Sect Leader

"Tian'er,"

The woman said, smiling slightly as she knelt down to hug him, pinching his little cheeks, her voice sounding melodious.

He just stood there, doing nothing, letting her do whatever she wanted.

Now he was more or less accustomed to such actions from her.

Most of the time she spent in his place was filled with cuddling and admiring his face, even when he refused to let her do so.

And given the fact that he had the same face as the one in his past life, where he was known as the most handsome man, it was no surprise that he looked super cute as a child now.

He had already seen the effect it had on a little child; it seemed adults were not that different.

Besides, it's not like he could do anything to her with his inexistent cultivation base so, so he let her do what she wanted and could only make a sulking face.

So, the woman continued for a while, and only after some time had passed and she was satisfied did she let go of him, wearing a relaxed and content smile on her face.

---------------------------------------

A little silver-haired child sat on a bed, looking at the beautiful woman in front of him.

"Aunt Qing, where have you been?" Ling Tian asked with his childish voice.

But his question wasn't even finished when he felt a slight tap on his head.

Although it was just a little tap without any strength inducing no pain, it was enough to stop him from speaking.

Tapping his head, she looked at him and said, "How many times have I told you to call me Sister Qing?"

"But..." Before he could say more, he looked at the woman, who still had a smile on her face knowing it was anything but a smile as it carried a sense of oppression and quickly changed his words.

"Sister Qing."

A wise man knows when to step back.

And it was too weird to call a woman whose actual age was even younger than him, 'Aunt',

Sister was much better.

Hearing this, her lips upturned as she let out a delightful smile.

Not only that, she moved towards him and kissed his left cheek, and the sense of oppression in the surroundings disappeared as if it wasn't there at all.

Feeling a slight warmth on his cheek, he let out a sigh.

He had a wife and an extremely loving one at that.

When did he ever let a woman take advantage of him?

And this woman,

Looking at her beautiful face coupled with a noble and graceful aura, no one would believe she could be so clingy and childish.

Female hooligan.

But since she was showing affection as an elder to a little child he didn't resist much,

And since no one would be able to resist his cute face anyway, he forgave this woman for once.

Not to mention.. it's a harem fanfic anyway, so he shouldn't be too hypocritical about it.

Now putting all these aside and coming to the main question.

"Sister Qing, where have you been?"

She spent most of the time here cuddling with him, so it was a wonder she was absent for days.

"Sister was quite busy with the sect's work.

Being a Sect Master is too stressful, you know," she spoke with her mellow voice.

But then as if realizing what she just said,

"Ata"

She tapped her forehead slightly and let out a childish yet cute sound.

'Why do I not sound convincing at all?

And who's the child between us?

"So, you are the Mysterious Sect Master," he asked, as she had just revealed something that was meant to be a secret, either unintentionally or intentionally.

Definitely intentionally.

"I'm not mysterious at all.

Everyone in the sect knows who I am—everyone except you," she chuckled, a hint of teasing in her voice. "But that's because you've never stepped out of this area. If you had, you would've known already."

Hearing this, he also realized that it seemed to be the case.

Even if he did not have memories, he was not an outgoing person to begin with.

He didn't like noise so he chose this secluded spot.

And since coming here, he had spent every day in his room or the small yard outside and never went anywhere else.

He didn't even know what the sect actually looked like.

He had only met some sect elders when he first arrived here, and at that time, he didn't see the Sect Master with them.

When he asked, they refused to answer, saying they couldn't say without their permission, so he didn't ask more.

He could've pressed the issue and considering his identity they might've been forced to answer but why would he want to know so much about some irrelevant people?

And although he was from a prestigious clan and the only child of the head, he was still only a child, after all.

He simply assumed that the sect master was a mysterious person.

But he just thought it would be some old man with some profound aura but his guess couldn't be far from the truth.

Although he judged from her temperament that this woman was not a simple elder of the outer yard of the sect, he never thought she would be the Sect Master.

How can a Sect Master be so childish?

"Are you thinking something bad about your sister?" an enchanting voice suddenly sounded beside his ear.

"No, no, no! How can I think something bad about my sister?

I was just thinking Sister is really a powerful person," he replied quickly.

Women are scary.

"Then why did you say that you're just a sect elder of the outer sect?" he asked, though he had already guessed her answer.

"Of course, when we first met, you called me sister so cutely, and Sister also didn't want you to treat me differently like others do and your naive smile looked too cute, so I didn't tell you before."

It seemed like only the last part was the real reason.

"So, what about now?" he caught the word 'before' in her sentence, confirming his guess that the earlier reveal wasn't a slip of the tongue but was deliberate.

Did something happen?

Or did she?

Looking again at his body and the dark expression on her face, he probably knew why she decided to reveal it now.

"Now, it seems Little Tian'er is ready to soar across the heavens, as he even started his cultivation just after Sister went away for a while."
