Chapter 1: Prologue
𝗗𝗮𝗼 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱
A world of Cultivation where people can practice spiritual qi and these people are called 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬.
Some of them are so strong they have the ability to flatten mountains and even fly through the air, which is something that only superhumans can do.
Based on how strong their cultivation foundation is, cultivators also live much longer than an average human.
People with greater realms of cultivation have longer lifespans than those with lower realms.
Cultivation realms are divided into these realms
𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐪𝐢,
𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 , 𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐥, 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐦, 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 ,𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐝, 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐫.
Such a world may seem like the stuff of every teenager's fantasy, but it is much crueler and perilous for the weak. In this world, there are many crimes that, if committed in civil society, may even result in the death sentence.
In this world, a powerful person with a significant background can accomplish anything they desire.
However, individuals act in ways that are impossible to even imagine because of this power, even going as far as harassing the weak or Mortals.
Mortals are those who are unable to practice, and Cultivators usually look down on them and don't care about them. However some Cultivators do care about them, but the majority don't.
Even they are not secure in this world; who knows when a strong beast will attack them while they are practicing or if a strong cultivator will kill them for no other reason than to have some fun.
No one is secure here until they reach the peak strength of the world. So why should you worry about someone with whom you have no connection with?
In general, some cultivators of righteous sects deal with evil cultivators who harm mortals or this world.
But, most of these cultivators of these righteous sects are just hypocrites concealing behind a façade of a virtuous person.
Numerous Clans and Sects exist around the world, and many cultivators hope to join one of them.
Some of them have a history of a few thousand years, while others, which are very powerful, were created millions of years ago.
Since cultivation requires extensive resources, such as the use of pills and cultivation methods, it is impossible for the average person to obtain them.
Resources that can even lead companions to turn against one another or occasionally even relatives to murder one another.
The majority of cultivators want to join these Sects and Clans because of their enormous Power, Credentials, and Resources.
Because if they offended a large force, they would acquire the resources necessary for cultivation and an appropriate background after joining them.
Many sects are fiercely defensive of their members, especially if they possess strong cultivation abilities.
People who don't belong to any groups or clans are either rogue or weak cultivators who practice by stealing other people's resources. If they are fortunate, they might become strong; if not, they are instantly killed.
No one wants to die, so they would do whatever it takes to live in this cruel world, including stealing and killing.
But Death is inevitable after all.
Everyone dies; it doesn't matter whether they die at the age of 10 or 10,000, what matters is that they pass away.
The only way to live forever is to become Immortal, and since this world hasn't even seen an emperor-level cultivator in roughly 500,000 years, the concept of an immortal is purely speculative.
Sacred Ling Clan
The Sacred Ling Clan, which ruled the Burning Flame Domain with the other two great Sacred lands, had even been passed down through inheritance for endless years.
Dao Origin World's Burning Flame Domain is a fantastic name. Even an emperor-level being had once existed in the Domain.
Because the Sacred Ling Clan is the strongest Clan in this Domain, every story about the clan, no matter how small or significant, spreads throughout the entire Dao World, demonstrating the prestige of this Domain.
And five years ago, news of the birth of a son by the wife of the current head of the Ling Clan spread throughout the globe. Since both of them had been married for a thousand years and had experienced a love marriage, the news stunned the entire world.
Since they were both extremely strong cultivators, they were able to live for a very long time.
Now, they have given birth to a boy who is expected to succeed them as the clan's next leader, and the arrival of the child was celebrated by the entire clan.
Such significant news was intended to be shared globally.
After his birth, many people made the assumption that the kid would grow up to be the strongest prodigy in the entire Domain.
A child of the Clan Head and his wife would not be any less than them because they were both Saints and were considered to be the geniuses of their time.
Nobody has seen the kid in five years, and nobody knows what the child looks like.
However, members of the Ling clan were aware that children from the clan's main line were sent to various sects for cultivation as early as age four and didn't come home again until they were 18 years old.
This was done to prevent the children from becoming reliant on the clan's resources and to enable them to survive on their own in this harsh world, and even though it seemed cruel in the short term, it was for their future.
(This is similar to what Spartans used to do, but in this case, they are sent to sects where they are somewhat secure.)
As the Clan Head's only son, the child was sent to a small sect for cultivation.
He would remain there until the age of 18, where he would learn to survive independently of his clan and gain more knowledge of this harsh world so he doesn't become conceited when he eventually assumes the role of Clan Head.
