God Level Farmer In Another World

Chapter 15: Chapter 15: The Café Owner

Afternoon.

The dark clouds grew heavier, and the rain intensified.

Alexander closed his umbrella and walked into the café.

The server was still the same young, pretty girl.

She greeted him with a bright smile, "Is it Blue Mountain coffee and Camembert cheese again?"

Alexander nodded politely, taking a seat by the window and opening the news feed on his phone.

"Shocking news! The Bluewater City Bureau's Captain of the Security Officers Awakened with Dual Talents—It's Him!"

"A Late-Blooming Genius, Forever a Hero—The Hidden Secret of This Security Officer Captain at Thirty!"

The news of Ethan Blake's sudden promotion to Captain of the Security Officers spread everywhere.

Alexander wasn't surprised by it at all.

Ethan Blake had already achieved great merit in the past. If he had even a D-rank talent back then, he would have been promoted to the main bureau long ago.

Now, with dual talents, one of which was C-rank, his direct promotion to Captain was no surprise.

The Captain of the Security Officers held a high position in the bureau, overseeing hundreds of officers.

Excluding the Director and Deputy Director, the Captain was essentially the third in command.

Taking advantage of his position, Ethan Blake had already inserted the USB into the machine in the data center that night, allowing Rosie to access the database.

Alexander calculated the days. In about two days, Ethan Blake would bring him the items he needed.

By then, he would have grown plenty of extraordinary plants and super fruits.

The initial capital for the Flame of Creation Mercenary Guild would be complete.

Alexander scrolled down, reading through the online comments.

Most of them were from keyboard warriors making boastful remarks.

"A mere station chief suddenly becoming a Security Officer Captain? Who knows what kind of shady secrets he's hiding?"

"I just checked. Ethan Blake was once severely injured by an E-rank awakened during a robbery. Weakling. The editor claims he did great things for the East District, but are these achievements even real? (dog head emoji)"

"Don't guess blindly. It's all about connections and background. Haven't we seen this kind of thing often?"

"Someone like me, from a poor family, haha, also with F-rank combat talent, still working as a security guard at 40, while he became a station chief at 25."

"I suggest a thorough investigation."

"Whose son is he, anyway?!"

Alexander's eyes were filled with sorrow.

Investigate whose son?

Would a real privileged son even be exposed to the public?

For example, the newly appointed station chief of the East District—would ordinary netizens even have the chance to comment on him?

These netizens were being misled by someone pulling strings behind the scenes.

It seemed like someone in the bureau wanted to bring down Ethan Blake but couldn't openly act due to his merits.

So, they resorted to using negative public opinion to smear him.

The netizens, feeling proud of their impassioned "free speech," thought they were striking down evil.

Little did they know, they had already become someone else's tool.

Alexander slowly fell into deep thought. If these people obtained the power of extraordinary plants, would they mistakenly believe they were the protagonists of the world?

And then, with their not-so-smart minds, bring disaster upon themselves?

Perhaps it was time to conduct an experiment.

"Sir."

The young server brought the coffee and cheese to Alexander's table.

"Enjoy."

Alexander nodded, "Thank you."

He stirred his coffee gently with a small spoon, his eyes scanning the interior of the café.

He had considered making the Flame of Creation Mercenary Guild headquarters look like a café.

This café wasn't bad.

Hidden on the edge of the city, right at the border between the new district and the old town, it was low-key enough.

At that moment, a waft of perfume drifted over.

A woman with her blonde hair elegantly tied up sat gracefully across from Alexander.

Dressed in a pink rose-scented qipao, her long legs crossed, her mature and voluptuous figure on display.

She smiled charmingly, "Blue Mountain coffee and Camembert cheese pair well together, but you should also try the fruit mousse cake."

She gestured toward the young server in the distance.

"Lilin, add a fruit mousse cake for this gentleman. It's on me."

The young server nearby responded:

"Sure, Madam. Coming right up."

Alexander offered his thanks, curiously sizing up the woman.

A diamond pendant hung from the cleavage of her snow-white chest.

Her pale wrist was adorned with a glittering Veyers crystal bracelet under the light.

There were distinct marks where she had once worn a valuable ring for a long time.

She had taken good care of herself. If Rosie hadn't investigated the owner of this café, it would be hard to tell that she was a woman in her thirties.

She had once been the eldest daughter of a major corporation's president.

That company was shut down due to illegal operations, and her father passed away from a sudden illness brought on by stress.

The woman now ran a modest café in this remote area to make a living.

She was, in a way, a fallen noblewoman.

Alexander's bold gaze was like that of a predator hunting in the darkness. Though there was no disrespect, the intensity of his stare carried a suppressed sense of aggression.

The noblewoman, feeling slightly uncomfortable, subtly shifted her crossed legs and placed them down.

She gracefully extended her pale, slender hand, "Yvette Ivanova. May I ask what line of work you're in?"

Alexander briefly touched her hand, not lingering on its softness.

"Alexander. Farming."

Yvette Ivanova's eyes showed obvious disbelief.

Over the years, she had honed her discerning eye, having encountered all kinds of people.

A simple farmer wouldn't carry the kind of presence that Alexander had. He was most likely a wealthy young man on some kind of personal journey.

She was a woman full of ambition.

Every moment, she yearned to claw her way back into high society.

Unfortunately, her former business associates now avoided her like the plague.

She desperately needed allies, or rather, "comrades."

With a bright smile, Yvette Ivanova said, "So, Mr. Alexander is in agriculture. Perhaps we might have a chance to collaborate in the future."

Just as Alexander was about to respond, Yvette's phone rang.

She glanced apologetically at Alexander and answered the call.

The voice on the other end made Yvette's expression show obvious disgust.

Still, she forced herself to speak gently into the phone, concealing her true feelings.

Thanks to his heightened perception, Alexander's keen senses were much sharper than ordinary people's.

He vaguely heard words like "restaurant," "gift," and "birthday."

When Yvette hung up, Alexander asked, "A suitor? Someone you don't like?"

Yvette replaced her expression with a smile, "Just a friend. It's nothing."

Alexander stirred his coffee gently with a small spoon and said, "How about we make a deal? I help you get rid of this suitor, and you sell me the café. How does that sound?"

Yvette was taken aback for a moment, then gave a playful smile.

"Sell you the café? What would I do after that?"

Alexander put down his spoon and said, "Work for me."

Yvette thought Alexander was joking.

After all, this café was located in the new district, with two floors and 300 square meters of space.

Along with the equipment inside, it was easily worth ten million.

Not to mention, did he even know who the person pestering her was?

That man was practically the underground emperor of this city.

If Alexander really had that kind of strength, she wouldn't mind following him in the future.

Half-jokingly, Yvette said, "If little brother can really help me get rid of that annoying man, I'll sell you the café and work for you."

Alexander softly replied, "It's a deal."

With that, he stood up and gave Yvette a meaningful look before leaving the café.

Yvette sat there, bewildered.

The young server, holding the fruit mousse cake, watched in surprise as Alexander left with his umbrella.

After hesitating for a moment, the server approached Yvette and said:

"Sis, Giovanni called earlier. He said he reserved a restaurant for you and invited you to join him for your birthday."

The server paused for a long time, then nervously continued as she saw Yvette frown.

"He sounded pretty upset. Did you hang up on him again?"

Yvette leaned back powerlessly against the couch, rubbing her temples.

"Alright, I understand."
