The countdown hit zero, and the familiar sense of dread surged in my chest. The air itself seemed to grow heavy. But then… a new prompt appeared.

"What the hell is this?" I shouted. My voice cracked with frustration. "No one told me my trial would be 100 times harder!"
A blue tick flashed. No reply.
"Whatever," I muttered bitterly, but that didn't stop the chill creeping down my spine.
And then the pain hit.
I gasped as I felt a sudden, searing pain across my back. Spinning around, I saw three monsters approaching — two wielding halberds, and the third, oddly enough, unarmed. Their weapons struck my back, tearing through my skin in a spray of blood.
The world blurred at the edges, but instinct kicked in. I didn't even think as I conjured a Bone Arrow, slamming it towards the unarmed one. It hit, and the creature crumpled, dead before it hit the ground.
"What are these?" I grunted, glancing at the remaining two, who were already charging toward me.
The system responded almost immediately:
[NAME: UNNAMEDRANK: RARESPECIES: WATER ANEMONEHP: 290ATK: 90DEF: 50MP: 30SKILLS: BASIC SWORD MASTERY, WATER SWORD, SILENT STEP]
I narrowed my eyes. "If they have sword mastery, then why the hell are they carrying halberds?"
The two monsters closed the distance quickly, their weapons raised. Panic rose in my chest, but I forced it down and ran, heading for the open side of the second-floor deck. The rain started to pour, adding to the chaos. My vision blurred, the wetness making everything harder to see.

"What? Y-Yeah! Activate it now!"
A faint ripple surged through my body, centered around my mana core. Then, a new prompt appeared:

Information surged into my brain. I gasped, stumbling slightly as technique, footwork, and precision drilled themselves into muscle memory. The rain blurred around me, but my mind cleared.
Lightning flashed.
"Let's dance."
The remaining two Water Anemones advanced quickly, weapons raised. One conjured a shimmering water sword — translucent and deadly — slashing at my heart. I raised my arm to block, but the blade twisted mid-swing, aiming for my stomach instead.
I dodged, but not fully — pain bloomed across my side as blood spilled again. The rain turned crimson near my feet.
I needed to end this. Fast.

I summoned two Bone Arrows — one in my hand, one hovering above, like a judgment waiting to fall.
"Enchant," I whispered. One of the arrows pulsed, transforming into a jagged, bone-forged katana.
The monsters advanced in silence, confident, underestimating me.
I smirked, then raised my hand.
The arrow I'd launched into the sky came crashing down like divine punishment, piercing one of them straight through the skull.

"No time," I hissed, blade raised, turning to face the last one.
It roared — or maybe that was just the storm — and charged. Our blades clashed in a flurry of wet steel and magical tension. It was stronger, but I was faster — and smarter now.
For two minutes, we fought in a deadly rhythm — my katana parrying strike after strike, rain soaking us both. My wounds screamed, but my will screamed louder.
Then I spotted it — the twitch in its left leg before it slashed.
I feinted, threw the empty potion bottle in its face, and when it flinched —I moved.
My blade swept across its body in one decisive arc.
Split. Dead.

My legs gave way as the adrenaline wore off. I collapsed to my knees, blood still seeping from my stomach wound. The system's voice echoed, monotone and mechanical.

My vision dimmed, but before everything went dark, I heard it again.
[{
I passed out, face-first in the rain.
