Chapter 314: Fusions
[ Skill Infuser Talent ( Epic ): This Talent allows the Survivor to infuse any item you created with one or more of your Skills depending on the item made and the Spirit Points spent. The success rate of the Skill Infusion depends on several factors, and failing could destroy the item. The greater the skills you choose to imbue, the more Spirit Points you must expend to activate this Talent. ]
"Whoa~" Shane finished reading the new Talent he had obtained, and he was very satisfied with it!
He had so many skills after all! It was a perfect talent for him! Furthermore, his current set of skills had gone some transformation after using four Skill Fusion Talisman!
Previously, he obtained five Skill Fusion Talismans, and inside the Fairy Realm, while he had nothing to do, he decided to fuse several skills!
First, he was able to fuse Tracking, Fishing, and Scavenging Skills into a Survivalist Skill.
[ Survivalist ( Passive ) Lv10: A multifaceted skill perfect for those who thrive in the wild. The Survivalist excels in tracking down prey, fishing in various waters, and scavenging for resources. This Skill grants a 50% boost in resource gathering and increases the chance of finding rare items. ]
Aside from this, Shane also used the talisman to fuse the Lesser Mind Control, Leadership, and Survival Instincts to obtain Crowd Manipulator!
[ Crowd Manipulator ( Active ) Lv10: This strategic Skill allows you to strongly influence the actions of your allies in battle while subtly controlling the morale of the enemies in your favor. The Crowd Manipulator can enhance teamwork and coordination, granting a 40% increase in attack efficiency for allies under your influence, making them more effective in combat scenarios.
If used on a single target, the manipulation had a 50% chance of failing. The amount of Spirit Points to be consumed depends on various factors such as the area, people, and resistance of targets. ]
He actually didn't expect such a result. It was a lot better to have such crowd manipulation rather than single target manipulation since he would be together with other people when fighting off against Zombie Waves!
As for the third fusion that he made, he was able to create a movement skill with the Phantom Dash, Parkour, and Climb. These three skills had created Phantasm Rush!
[ Phantasm Rush ( Active ) Lv10: This Skill boosts agility and stealth, allowing the Survivor to scale even vertical surfaces with ease while remaining undetected. This Skill grants a 200% increase in movement speed while running and 250% while climbing and enhances your ability to evade detection, making the Survivor a ghostly figure in urban or rugged terrains.
Cost: 50 Spirit Points/10 Seconds
Cooldown: None ]
This Skill was incredible, and Shane was happy that his Parkour and Climbing skills, which weren't really being used, were finally disposed of.
Well, Shane really had plenty of time in the Fairy Realm so he didn't stop there. He decided to also fuse the Trap Setting, Woodworking, and Metalworking Skills!
[ Trap Mastery ( Passive ) Lv10: This Skill allows the Survivor to adapt traps to different environments using high-level woodworking and metalworking knowledge. The Survivor can create traps suited for various terrains, ensuring maximum effectiveness regardless of the setting. The Skill increases trap versatility, granting a 100% increase in effectiveness based on the environment. ]
It was a skill that he had somehow expected. To be exact, he wanted to obtain this Skill with this fusion.
What he liked about this Skill was that he could still use the effects of the woodworking and metalworking even if he wasn't explicitly using them to make traps!
"Is everything alright, Shane?" Lysandra asked after noticing that he was still looking at his inventory or probably the status panel.
Shane smiled as he passed one of the rings to her.
"Here… Wear it. It's a Concealment Ring and Exceptional Grade at that. It's quite decent." Shane explained.
"Ohhh… So this is why I can't sense them." Lysandra finally nodded after hearing this.
"I wonder where they got these rings… Did they all drop one of these?" Lysandra asked as she wore the ring. As soon as she did, she realized that it had also disappeared from her finger!
It truly deserved its name!
"Yes… So we have quite a lot of them." Shane replied as he decided not to reveal the Talent he had just obtained.
On the other hand, Shane was already excited to try using the Skill Infusion Talent that he had just obtained. He was guessing that this Talent uses a lot of Spirit Points, which was why the man decided to steal from other Survivors instead of trying to get rich through the Marketplace.
Anyway, with the threat dealt with, Shane and Lysandra took a moment to catch their breath.
The forest around them was silent once more and there were no Zombies around as well.
After some time, Shane spoke.
"Let's get out of here,".
"Mhmm…" Lysandra gently nodded… Stay connected through M-V-L
"We need to cross that bridge and continue our journey to Sector 20." Shane added.
Lysandra smiled. "Agreed. We did not waste our time, at the very least. I think you managed to obtain some decent items, right?"
Shane just laughed it off as he led the way. As they entered the Nightfall Nexus, the guards there no longer asked for payment and allowed them to enter.
It was under Lucian's instruction.
Shane coolly accepted this arrangement and didn't question their generosity. He was even hoping that they'd give them a free pass to the bridge.
Thankfully, as they made their way back towards the bridge, Shane noticed that the usual fee for crossing was being waived. The guards simply nodded and stepped aside, allowing them to pass without question.
"Lysandra… You really did well for using those talismans. I guess we can consider the Nightfall Nexus Clan as a friend." Shane said as he stepped on the bridge.
"We still have to be careful about them. I offended them for not joining their clan. They even offered me plenty of benefits." Lysandra replied as she explained what had happened.
"Ohhh… Are you not tempted?" Shane asked after hearing the story.
"Huh? They just want my Gray Spirit Wolves… and you're the one who gave it to me after you upgraded it to Epic Rank. As for those terrifying Talismans, they're already used up." Lysandra said as she shook her head...
Her Clan Leader was seriously too mysterious!
