Global Apocalypse: The True Young Master Awakens and Tames the Villain

Chapter 40

“Think more about it. Five insurances and one housing fund, favourable treatment, and you would be at the senior level when you came in. I could still help you with this one.”

Zheng Chunhua really couldn’t let go of Liu Jin’an, a good young talent.

The apocalypse had been coming for more than ten days. He had come into contact with hundreds of people with supernatural powers, but he had never heard of anyone with healing powers.

Moreover, the healing effect would be immediate. He could guarantee that as long as Liu Jin’an agreed, it wouldn’t take three years—no, two years—he could definitely climb to the central position, and this level was not low.

However, no matter what Zheng Chunhua said, Liu Jin’an still declined the other party’s kindness: “Sorry, Officer Zheng, I’ve decided to leave for Beijing after the matter in Yuncheng is settled.”

“That’s it.”

Now that the other party had made a decision, Zheng Chunhua couldn’t persuade him anymore.

He just asked him, “I hope you stay a little longer. You’ve also seen that this conflict is inevitable. There will definitely be casualties by then. If you can lend a helping hand, I will definitely apply to my superiors for a reward.”

Liu Jin’an said, “My friends are also in the hospital waiting for rescue, and I hope I can do my best.”

He knew that everyone had their own position, even the upright Officer Zheng, who could not help but have his own ideas.

The human heart was the most difficult thing to fathom.

So, he didn’t tell Zheng Chunhua that the healing power actually came from his spiritual treasure.

After all, spiritual treasures could be captured, but capturing supernatural powers was not that easy.

The two got out of the car. Zheng Chunhua was about to say goodbye and leave when a Pomeranian broke into his and Liu Jin’an’s sight.

Judging from the direction it came from; it seemed that it had run away from the hospital.

“It would be great if the puppy could talk,” Zheng Chunhua sighed.

The reason the rescuers were passive, was largely because they knew nothing about the gangsters’ deployment in the hospital.

These terrorists had hostages in hand, and the rescue team had no choice but to fall into passivity.

Liu Jin’an looked at the puppy. The obsidian-like puppy’s eyes were moist, as if it had a thousand words to tell him.

For some reason, he suddenly thought of Huang Dabei.

His little brother also had puppy eyes and two-pointed little tiger teeth when he smiled.

“Woof woof!”

Huang Dabei was almost dying of anxiety. ‘Boss, send that policeman away quickly! I have important information! Forget it, never mind!’

The puppy was seen retching and spitting out a piece of cloth hidden in its mouth.

Then it returned to its human form and rubbed its sore cheeks sadly, “I almost swallowed it.”

“Huang Dabei?” Liu Jin’an was both surprised and amazed, “How did you come out?”

Huang Dabei was also very excited to see his boss. He described excitedly, “There’s a dog hole in the small garden of the hospital, and I got out of there. By the way, I came out just to bring out the information.”

After that, he picked up the cloth still stained with his saliva, spread it out, and showed it to Liu Jin’an, “This is the defence map that brother Xu and the others drew together. He asked me to take it out and give it to people outside.”

“Let me see!”

Zheng Chunhua quickly came over and had a panoramic view of the defence map, his eyes suddenly lighting up.

When he felt sleepy, someone gave him a pillow!

Realizing the value of this piece of cloth, he quickly asked Liu Jin’an and the others to wait here, “I will ask the chief of our Yuncheng border defence force to come over.”

They must know that the chief was the head of the military command department of the troops at all levels. Yuncheng was located at the junction of China and northern Myanmar, and the border defence troops stationed there were called the Yuncheng Corps.

The chief of the regiment was at the deputy regimental level, which was already quite high.

Many people might never have the opportunity to be interviewed by deputy regimental level cadres throughout their lives.

Hu Deyi was a little confused when he heard this, “Boy An, why do you want to talk to the chief? How big of an official is this chief?”

Liu Jin’an comforted him: “It’s okay, Uncle Hu. No matter how high the official was, he wasn’t here for us.”

Hu Jianye also jumped in: “That’s right, Dad, don’t be afraid. We are helping them now; we are enthusiastic citizens.”

Huang Dabei took a breath: “So, I’m going to meet a big shot? Oh my God, I’m going to be successful!”

The chief arrived quickly, with two soldiers behind him, protecting him at every step.

Liu Jin’an secretly took pictures of the defence map. He had a hunch that the chief would probably not let them participate in the rescue.

“Chief Lin, this is the outstanding citizen Liu Jin’an I told you about. His friend Huang Dabei escaped from the hospital and sent us precious defence map.”

Should it be said or not, Zheng Chunhua’s sweet talk was quite good.

They not only emphasized their role but also introduced themselves to both parties. They were worthy of being the experienced policeman’s words.

Liu Jin’an spoke at the right time: “Hello, chief, this friend of mine happens to have the power of transformation. The defence map he brought out was drawn by several of my other friends who were trapped in the hospital. I can’t say it’s completely accurate, but it should have some use.”

Chief Lin patted Liu Jin’an on the shoulder: “Thank you for your contribution to the rescue operation. Please believe that we will do our best to save the lives of the hostages.”

Liu Jin’an nodded. He knew that what Chief Lin said was standard words, but at that time, every word from Chief Lin represented the will of the legion.

They couldn’t be biased, they couldn’t have personal bias, and they couldn’t speak frontally.

He could understand Chief Lin.

But he had to ensure the safety of Zhang Yaoyao and the others.

“Chief Lin, I hope we can join the rescue,” Liu Jin’an said seriously.

Chief Lin frowned: “Rescue operations are very dangerous. I know you are worried about your friends. But without the experience and ability to rescue, joining the rescue team rashly would only cause chaos.”

“We promise not to cause trouble!” Hu Jianye supported. “We will absolutely follow the chief’s instructions.”

Chief Lin: “That won’t work either.”

Liu Jin’an wanted to say something else, but Zheng Chunhua winked at him, and he had to swallow his words.

After Chief Lin brought the defence map back, Officer Zheng quietly told Liu Jin’an: “Don’t blame Chief Lin, he has suffered losses in this regard. In the past, people who didn’t understand rescue participated in the operation. As a result, one hostage was killed, two were seriously injured, and two armed policemen were sacrificed in vain.”

Liu Jin’an whispered, “I didn’t decide to participate in the rescue because of my passion. If they want to send the news, they can only go through Huang Dabei.”

Huang Dabei stood firmly beside Liu Jin’an: “For Brother Wang and the others, I’m willing to take risks.”

“Nonsense!” Zheng Chunhua said with a look of disapproval. “At this time, you can save one by one. You don’t know how vicious the other party is! Be obedient and wait for news here. I’ll leave first!”

After saying that, he ran into the crowd as if he was afraid of being entangled by Liu Jin’an.

Even Officer Zheng said so. It seemed that the enemy this time was quite difficult.

Liu Jin’an sighed and blamed himself. If he had known that the hospital would fall, he should have arranged for Zhang Yaoyao and the others to return to the warehouse.

“Boss, what should we do now? Should we find a way to sneak in?” Huang Dabei asked eagerly.
