Global Abyss: My Skills Can Enhance Infinitely

Chapter 513: Robbery?

Deep within the canyons of the Rainforest, there lay a cave, whose walls were beplastered with some disgusting, viscous mucus.

Stepping on the ground beneath felt akin to treading on crusts of snot.

Shaman, his face expressionless, walked into the repulsive cavern.

In the gloom, various types of Aliens occasionally poked out their heads, but seemingly sensing the danger he emanated, they dared not attack rashly.

Instead, they gradually surrounded him, their peering becoming more frequent as little specks of red glowed in the darkness,

filled with an air of bloodthirst and brutality.

One could see the silhouettes of the Aliens in the shadows, ranging from two to three meters up to over ten meters in length.

The ghastly appearance of the Aliens, coupled with the Underworld atmosphere of the cave, made the scene particularly sinister.

"Shaman, you're late, how did it go? Did you handle it..."

A voice came from within, followed by a middle-aged man of average appearance, armored, who walked out from the depths.

Besides him, there was also a figure of uncommon beauty, doll-like in delicacy, to the extent that their gender was indistinct.

"Hmph, what's so hard about deceiving a naive brat? He even secretly left a positioning mark on me, which I've conveniently transferred to a Substitute puppet that's now running around lost in the woods," Shaman scoffed dismissively.

The acts of the other had instead provided him with ample evidence!

An overconfident fool who thinks himself shrewd, yet everything was under his control!

"Heh heh, of course, we're not questioning your abilities, otherwise, why would we choose to ally with you? Right?" said the doll-like figure with a pleasant androgynous voice, though their face remained expressionless and cold, almost inhuman.

"What's the situation now? Isn't the Harkonnen Family your responsibility? Why did Treya suddenly go there with Ninjas?"

Shaman dared not maintain constant contact with them, knowing something had definitely gone awry, but he was unclear on the details.

"Indeed, something did happen. Fret and the others are likely dead. The reins of the Harkonnen Family have changed hands and are now controlled by the 'Eight-Armed Vajra'. Treya's probably asserting sovereignty, completing the handover..." the doll-like Hope stated, appearing to have precise intelligence on the state of the Harkonnen Family.

"Again, the 'Eight-Armed Vajra'? "

Shaman felt a wave of displeasure; he once sought a backdoor deal to jump the queue and learn advanced Mind Methods from those ace instructors, but they refused and later even used Miss Sun to pressure him! Experience tales at My Virtual Library Empire

This very experience was one reason why he later chose to join the opposition.

After all the years he had lived, even though he wasn't a big shot in Floating City, he didn't want to be looked down upon by some lucky upstart!

"Yes, it's him again. He proposed the 'Scripture Depository' system, brought in most of the instructors, and he cracked the case at the Superconductive Mine. Apart from being lucky, he's also bold and strong—indispensable traits."

Doran, the man of ordinary appearance, nodded, offering a fair assessment.

Luck can strike once or twice, but to continue unbroken, that's Ability!

If a person's luck can truly last, it too is a form of strength!

"I have news from the State Capital; this young fellow has certainly attained World Breaker strength, and his methods are quite unusual. He defeated Feng Te of the Decaron Family as well as Shi Di of the State Capital Security Team. Moreover, Feng Te is dead, a death most mysterious."

Observing Hope, who resembled a delicate puppet, it was evident she had comprehensive channels for information, spanning various areas.

She was even aware of Feng Te Decaron's assassination and the suspicions cast upon Tao Yu.

This intel made the previously unconcerned Shaman's pupils constrict.

"He defeated Shi Di?"

A Senior Partner was no small character, and for a World Breaker, gaining notoriety in a neighboring city was quite normal.

Shi Di happened to be one such individual!

Shaman's surprise was because Shi Di's Ability surpassed his own!

Did that mean the guy who climbed his way up from the Outer City surpassed him in just two years?

Surpassed him, a native of Floating City?!

Impossible!

"There must be some grand secret about him! Some incredible fortune!" Shaman declared with certainty.

There was no other explanation.

"That was certain the moment he showed his mettle, but with the Suns protecting him, he has grown up. By defeating Shi Di, he is now a true powerhouse. Were it not for his closeness to the Suns, we could have tried to recruit him."

Doran, the plain-looking man, reached down to pet the head of an Alien creature that had approached his feet, as if sighing with regret.

The creatures appeared tame beside him, almost as if obeying his command.

"Humph, the Suns are protecting him... as if they're not in trouble themselves."

Shaman snorted.

"Cough, such matters are beyond our scope to decide, left to those with greater stature to handle. We simply complete our tasks and reap some benefits," Hope interposed hastily upon hearing Shaman's comments, a rare sign of emotion crossing her painted face.

This Shaman, with his muddled head, dared to voice anything.
