GIVE YOU MY HEART [BL]

Chapter 90: THEY'RE HERE

-Haruka POV-

"Oh my, isn't it Haruka Charles Auclair and Levi Ackerman?" Someone's voice made me stop walking. It's a woman's voice. Who? Who is it? Who would recognize us when we were still wearing masks?

"Oh, Aunty Hanae. Fancy meeting you here. Levi spoke in a friendly tone. Wait. Hanae? My mother? I turned around to look at her. It's really my mother.

"Tch. This cheeky kid." My mother laughed, slapping Levi's arm softly.

"Mother, what are you doing here?" That's the first thing that slipped out of my mouth.

"This kid. That's what you said when you met your mother?" My mother said, flicking my forehead.

"Ouch. Sorry, okay? So, why are you here? You're giving me goosebumps when you're calling our names like that. What if someone heard you?" I said that while glaring at her.

"That's the reason why. I just wanted to see you startled like that, haha. Well, I'm here to meet my friend. Why don't you both join us for lunch?" My mother suggested.

"Who is your friend? I want a private room." I said that to my mother.

"You'll see. You know her very well after all. And of course I booked a private room. You're not the only one who's famous here, and don't forget to take off the mask once you enter the room." My mother said and then grabbed my hand to follow her inside. Levi just followed us from behind.

As we entered the room, Levi and I removed our masks just like my mother asked. I looked at the table and I was surprised to see that person.

"Aunty Carina. It's good to see you again." I said that politely while making my way towards the table.

"Oh my, Charles, it's been a long time since I last met you. How have you been?" Aunty Carina said that while hugging me gently.

"I'm good. What about you, Aunty Carina?" I asked her back.

"Well, as you can see. I'm good, just like your mother, haha." She said that while chuckling, and I just smiled. Aunty Carina is one of my mother's close friends. The last time I met her was about three years ago before I worked with Levi.

"Levi, this is my friend, Carina Bismarck. She owns an art gallery in Germany." My mother introduced Aunty Carina to Levi.

"Oh, wow. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Bismarck. I heard a lot about you from my grandmother before." Levi said that, extending his hand for a handshake.

"Oh my, actually I didn't expect to meet you here. How's your grandmother doing?" Aunty Carina accepted the handshake, and after that, all of us took our seats.

"She's doing good. She's been resting and planning to travel worldwide with my grandfather since they both already retired, haha." Levi said that with a friendly tone.

"Oh, your grandmother already retired? I didn't know that. So, who's in charge of the Ackerman Museum and Art Gallery now?" Aunty Carina asked.

"Sorry to interrupt you both, Carina. But what do you want to eat, Haru-chan and Levi?" My mother asked before Levi could reply.

"I'll have escargot and some baguettes. Thank you, Aunty Hanae." Levi said that in a polite way.

"Cool. What about you, Haru-chan?" My mother asked me.

"I'll have egg benedict, and please add some desserts." I said that.

"Alright. So please add these to the order. Thank you." My mom said that to the waiter. I guess she already ordered their food first before coming. Well, it's not that my mom knew she would be running into us here.

"Well, about that Carina, let me answer that, haha. You're talking to the new CEO of Ackerman Museum and Art Gallery right now." My mother said that like a professional person. Ugh, it doesn't suit her right now.

"I was just appointed last week. I used to be the CEO of Ackerman Travel and Entertainment before." Levi added.

"Oh my, I didn't expect to kill two birds with one stone today. Haha, I'm just kidding. But I do hope to work with you in the future if I can." Aunty Carina said that professionally.

"It would be my pleasure to work with an amazing person like you, Mrs. Bismarck." Well, that's just how he acts to make people like him even more. He's Levi Ackerman.

"Oh my, you're one with sweet words all over you, aren't you? Well, talking about Ackerman Travel and Entertainment, I saw Charles' face as the resort's face icon. Are you doing modeling now, Charles?" Aunty Carina is now looking at me. Why would she bring it up now?

"It's not like that, Aunty Carina. I'm just helping him because he's been begging me to be the face icon." I replied. Actually, Aunty Carina didn't know that I'm working as Levi's secretary.

"Oh my, you two must be really close, then. Actually, Levi made a good choice having you as the face icon. You're more famous than those models anyway. People have been wondering what the second young master has been doing lately, anyway." Here we come with this again. That's why I don't like it when people start to talk about me.

"You're right, that's the reason why. I wouldn't be begging for him if not for that." Levi said that sarcastically while looking at me. Of course, he never begged me that bad, actually.

"Ahaha. But seriously, Charles, what have you been doing these days? The last time I met you, you had just finished your study in business." Aunty Carina asked me. I don't like this. I don't want to lie.

"Ara. The food is here. Let's eat while catching up." My mother suddenly interrupted. The waiters put our food on the table and then left.

"Carina, you're going to have an exhibition held at your gallery in the new year, right? Why don't you invite this new CEO here?" My mother spoke, changing the topic. Maybe she doesn't want me to lie to her friend too. Anyway, thanks, mom. After that we just kept eating and talking. Luckily, there's no topic about me after that.

We arrived at my home after having lunch with my mother and Aunty Carina. Meeting with them today was unexpected, and I feel like my energy drained already. Luckily, they just talk about business during lunch and catching up with each other after so long. And now, here we are at one of the storage rooms, unboxing everything we bought from the pet store. Well, we nearly finished setting up, thanks to Levi. He suggested that I use the biggest storage room closest to the living room for the cats. The size of this storage room alone is just as big as the guest room. These cats are really lucky. I looked at the things we bought, and my eyes landed on the outfit Levi bought.

"Levi, do we really need to buy these for the cats?" I said that, grabbing the hoodies and pajamas.

"Of course. They will look cute on them. OMG! I'm so excited to see them wear this!" He said that excitedly and took the outfits from me to put them in the closet. Right, he bought the closet before we came back home after lunch. Let's just let him do what he wants.

"We're done!" Levi suddenly said that out loud, making me startled a bit.

"Let's have some dessert, then. They should arrive sooner or later." I said that, standing up to leave the storage room—or should I say the kittens' future room?

DING! DONG!

The bell in my house rang. Wait, are they here already?

"OMG! That should be them. Let me get to the door, Haru-chan!" Levi said that and then ran towards the door. Seriously, he's more excited about the cats than me right now? I followed him from behind. I did tell him not to let the staff enter the house.

"Look, Haru-chan, they're here." Levi said that, carrying two cat carriers inside.

"Did they leave already?" I asked him while looking at the door.

"Yes. Come, Haru-chan. Let's play with them." Levi said that while bringing the carriers to the living room. Once arrived in the living room, he opened the carrier's door, and those two kittens came out. They're really cute, I couldn't deny it.

"OMG!. You're so cute, and you're so handsome, just like me." Levi said that happily, taking the nebelung kitten into his arms.

"Haru-chan, come here. Take the ragdoll baby." Levi asked me to come closer, and I couldn't argue but just did what he said. I put the ragdoll kitten on my lap, and surprisingly she's been really good, or should I say, she's a bit clingy? But I didn't hate it. I could tell why Levi really likes them. Suddenly, the Nebelung kitten came to me also.

"The cat didn't seem to like you as much as you like him, huh?" I said that sarcastically.

"Tch. That's not it. Maybe he saw you as more attractive than me because you're too pretty." Levi said that bluntly.

"Ahem. They're just cats, so your hypothesis doesn't make sense." I replied while caressing both of the cats.

"Well, who knows? By the way, did you have names for them already?" Levi suddenly changed the topic.

"Huh? Name? Is it important to give them one?" I asked him in confusion.

"Of course they are! You wouldn't want to call them by saying 'meow' only. They need a proper name, too. Levi protested.

"I don't have time to think about one. Why don't you just give them any name you want?" I said that uninterestedly.

"Really? I already had two names in mind. The Ragdoll kitten is Haru, and the Nebelung kitten is Lev. What do you think?" He looks at me while grinning. What? Seriously?

"And may I know why it has to be Lev?" I made the mistake of asking him to choose the names.

"What? He's handsome just like me. So Lev is the most suitable one." He said that with his poker face.

"Well, let's just go with that name. I'm not in the mood to argue with you, by the way. But what's with Haru? She's a girl." Now, I'm asking about the ragdoll's name.

"Well, because she looks just like you, so Haru would be a good name for her." Of course, that's what he'll reply.

"You call me Haru-chan, and you wanted to call the kitten Haru also?" I said while glaring at him.

"Wait, don't tell me you're jealous." He said it with his playful smile.

"I'm not jealous. I'm just saying you shouldn't use the same name when the two of us are living under the same roof. What I'm trying to say is, it might be confusing." I didn't realise that I raised my voice a bit, but he didn't seem to mind that.

"Hmm, you're right. Then, what about Ha-chan?" He said it with a smile.

"Ha. It's up to you, Levi. But I think that would be better than Haru." I gave up.

"Okay, cool. So, starting from today, you're Ha-chan, and you're Lev, okay?" Levi said that to those kittens, and surprisingly they just replied with meow. As if they really understood what Levi said just now.

"Good. You're both clever cats just like your owners." He said that, hugging those kittens simultaneously. Ah, I pity them seriously. After that, we keep playing with them, or maybe Levi plays with them more than I do. In the meantime, Levi taught me everything I should know on how to raise them.

We just finished having dinner, and the same goes for the kittens. We played with them for a while, and now they are both sleeping soundly in their beds.

"You're going back already?" I asked Levi as we both made our way towards the door.

"Why? You wanted me to stay here?" Levi said that, trying to tease me.

"I'm just asking." I said that, glaring at him.

"Haha, I'm just kidding. You must be tired, so you should rest. That's why I'm going back early today." Levi said that softly.

"Well, thank you for helping me today. And, um... Here, take this with you." I handed him a card awkwardly. Oh my, I don't want to look at him right now.

"What is this?" He asked me in confusion.

"This is the card key of my house, of course." I look at him, and he clearly looks surprised.

"Yeah, I know. But why are you giving this to me?"
