Chapter 4 - Who Will Illuminate You?
Chapter 4: Who Will Illuminate You?
Light illuminates the world, but who illuminates light itself? Is it not its own inner resolve, the light within its heart? If not for this internal glow, who could ignite it?
One day, you might find yourself in a deep abyss. If you lack the strength to save yourself, who can pull you from that darkness?
As the saying goes, “Mountains you rely on may crumble, people you depend on may flee.” It’s better to rely on yourself than on others.
Remember the years we laughed, cried, acted foolishly, and embraced freedom together? What held us back? Was it the demands of life, the pursuit of dreams, or our insatiable desires?
Life is precious, love even more so. But for the sake of freedom, both can be sacrificed. Without life, what meaning does freedom hold? If you don’t defy fate, who will create your miracles?
We often retreat at the first sign of difficulty or setback. How can we then expect to achieve success?
In the Journey to the West, the four pilgrims endured eighty-one trials before obtaining the sacred scriptures. Not a single ordeal could be skipped. Isn’t the pursuit of success the same?
The path to success is fraught with thorns, falls, and missteps. It’s only natural. Don’t dwell on the hardships; grit your teeth and persevere.
A person’s strength is limited, but when you embrace responsibility and overcome challenges, your abilities grow. Only through continuous struggle against adversity can you emerge victorious.
Be a warrior in life, constantly battling hardships. Only then will you usher in your own spring.
Winter has arrived, so can spring be far behind? Yes! Move forward, keep walking, and the dawn will break.
Life is your own, not anyone else’s. When you face grievances or mistreatment, don’t be discouraged. Be like a tree, silently enduring the elements. Believe that everything you endure will nurture your growth.
Successful individuals are those who persevere through trials. The wind, frost, snow, and rain all serve as motivation, ultimately empowering them. We are often lost amidst gains and losses, crying one moment and laughing the next.
Don’t be disheartened by your current struggles. Rise up, take one step at a time. The future belongs to you, to those who refuse to surrender to fate. If heaven hasn’t blessed you with inherent strength, then strive to cultivate it!
Remember, whatever the world takes from you, it will also give back in some way. If you haven’t experienced the sweat and tears of youth, how can you truly appreciate the joy of future triumphs? If everything were easily attained, would you cherish it? The more difficult the journey, the more meaningful the destination. So don’t fear hardship or exhaustion!
Meng Jinfei: Hello, what are you up to?
Guoguo: Nothing much!
Meng Jinfei: Don’t you feel like something’s missing?
Guoguo: Like what?
Meng Jinfei: Me.
Guoguo: Oh!
Meng Jinfei: Do you know what I am to you?
Guoguo: What?
Meng Jinfei: A watermelon.
Guoguo: Haha, so I can cut you open?
Meng Jinfei: Yes, but cutting isn’t the key.
Guoguo: Then what is?
Meng Jinfei: This way, you can fill (sweeten) your heart.
Guoguo: Alright, alright!
