Chapter 534: The Divorce!

"Wh... Who are you?" Long Xiang's voice trembled, his throat dry as sandpaper. He struggled to sit up, his body weak and battered, only managing to lift his upper body. The figure before him grew clearer, yet he couldn't recognize the woman.

She seemed familiar, as if they had crossed paths before, but his memory failed him. All he saw was an ethereal beauty, a woman of elegance and strength, but she was a stranger to him.

Noah stood silently by, observing the exchange with a calm that belied the tension in the air.

Seeing the confusion in Long Xiang's eyes, Xin Yan sneered coldly. Without a word, she made a slashing motion with her bare hand.

A chill swept over Long Xiang, and a moment later, a dull thud echoed in his ears. His gaze dropped to the ground, where his arms, now severed and encased in ice, lay motionless. Realization hit him like a bolt of lightning, and with it came the searing pain.

"Arghh!!!" Long Xiang screamed as agony coursed through his body, causing him to collapse face-first onto the ground.

"Still don't know who I am?" Xin Yan's voice was icy, her tone dripping with disdain. Long Xiang tried to raise his head, but before he could, a cold heel pressed down on the back of his skull, pinning him to the dirt.

"You are the reason my son faced so much pain! You are the reason my son was shunned by his own family! You are the reason my Long Tian died!" Xin Yan's voice cracked as she unleashed the torment that had plagued her heart for years. She lifted her foot and brought it down hard on Long Xiang's shoulder.

"Arghh!" Long Xiang's vision blurred with pain as he rolled on the ground, the ice on his wounds keeping the blood from flowing but doing nothing to dull the agony.

"You are... that bitc—Xin Yan! But that's—"

"What? Impossible?" Xin Yan cut him off with a derisive snort, her foot lashing out to kick him square in the stomach.

Bang!

Thud!

Long Xiang was sent flying, his body slamming into a tall tree. The impact made him cough up a mouthful of blood.

"There are still many things I did not tell you for your safety." Xin Yan's voice wavered, a mix of self-mockery and disgust flashing through her eyes. "But I am truly glad you did not know much about me."

Long Xiang, feeling the crushing weight of her words and the pain racking his body, forced himself to sit up against the tree. Every movement made him wince, a clear sign that several bones in his body were broken. Despite the pain, he glared at Xin Yan with hatred and unwillingness.

"Why are you looking at me as if I betrayed you?" Xin Yan sneered, her face twisted with disgust. "It was you who used me, manipulated me, and left me and my child in that dump to whore around!"

Long Xiang trembled under her gaze but couldn't bring himself to refute her accusations. He wanted to spit venom, to mock her, but the fear of death stilled his tongue. The aura radiating from Xin Yan was unlike anything he had ever felt—even Golden Core realm experts paled in comparison.

"You keep accusing me of being unfaithful when you have never been faithful to your own family." Xin Yan's voice shook with anger, and she poured out every bitter feeling she had kept locked inside.

Long Xiang's eyes flickered toward Noah. Rage bubbled to the surface as he shouted, "Don't you dare lie to me! Is this your definition of being devoted? When I was away, you ran into the arms of that bastard—"

SMACK!

A sharp, stinging pain shot through Long Xiang's face as Xin Yan's hand connected with his cheek in a resounding slap.

"Don't you dare say anything about him! He is a thousand times more of a man than you could ever be."

Long Xiang's bravado crumbled under the force of her slap, and he could only tremble in fear as Xin Yan's demeanor shifted from cold fury to something almost indifferent.

Noah, standing silently by, couldn't help but notice how similar he and Xin Yan were. Both of them couldn't bear anyone insulting the other.

The killing intent that had been radiating from Xin Yan, nearly choking Long Xiang, suddenly receded. She sighed, her expression turning distant as she spoke.

"There's no point in wasting my breath on you. There's nothing holding me back from killing you now, but for the sake of everything we've been through, I will not kill you."

"Today, I came here to officially sever our relationship." Xin Yan raised her hand, and a piece of paper materialized in her grasp. The moment Long Xiang saw it, he knew what it was.

"With heaven and earth as my witness, I pronounce that I no longer have any relations with Long Xiang."

CracCKkleee!!!

The sky darkened instantly, and thunder roared through the clouds as if responding to her declaration.

"With this paper, I burn the bonds that used to bind us together." Xin Yan prepared to set the paper alight, but before she could, a bolt of thunder descended from the clouds and incinerated the paper in her hand. It was as if the heavens themselves acknowledged her divorce.

Long Xiang could only watch in stunned silence, his mind struggling to accept the reality before him.

His woman was not the fool he had thought she was. Not only was she more beautiful than any woman in the world, but she had also become someone far beyond his reach. Such a woman had been his wife.

No!

She was no longer his wife. She had just severed all ties with him.

"You can rot in hell for all I care now." Xin Yan turned away, intending to walk toward Noah, but Long Xiang's sudden laughter stopped her in her tracks.

"HAHAHA!!! What's the point of all this drama, Xin Yan!" Long Xiang's eyes gleamed with newfound arrogance. 'She said she wouldn't kill me. Looks like she's still the same fool and still has feelings for me.'
