Chapter 221: Chapter 221: Mana Veins! Noah's Headache!
"Sigh~ I did not think she would send you directly." Yu Ming sighed before sitting back on the chair. Ai narrowed her eyes, thinking that she was refusing to go back, but her next words shocked the maid.
"Come take a seat; we will leave in a few hours."
Ai was really surprised to see her agreeing so easily. She did not mind waiting for a few hours, as she did not have anything urgent to attend to. Despite being suspicious, she agreed with her proposal. Discover more stories at m,v l'e|m-p| y r
"What are you doing? Come sit here." Seeing the woman standing behind Yu Ming like a professional maid, Xin Yan conjured another seat and called the maid to sit beside her.
'Who is this woman?! She feels dangerous!' It was only then the maid noticed the presence of the masked woman! With a glance, she was able to see through her body cultivation, and yet there was a sense of oppression coming off of the woman that gave her the illusion that she might suffer if she tried something against the woman.
"Don't be too stiff, Ai. Come and sit; we are all waiting for the trial to be over." Seeing the dazed look on the professional face, Yu Ming smirked and added. She was not sure what she was experiencing but seeing the robotic maid of hers showing emotion… that was enough to make her day!!
Seeing the grin on her young lady's face, AI immediately concealed her expression before taking her seat.
Xin Yan also smirked behind the mask seeing the tense movements of the maid.
'Well, what happened was…' As Yu Ming continued to explain about the events that were happening, the three sect leaders couldn't sit still in their seats.
How could they dare to sit in the same position as someone as powerful as the maid that just appeared!!
Even Huang Meiying was feeling a sense of powerlessness; she was ashamed that the first time she felt this powerless in many years was due to a maid!
She could not understand how someone as powerful as her could become a maid to someone.
The other two sect masters were wondering if there were any slots available in Yu Ming's home for them to join.
Seeing the state of their sect leaders, the elders and the disciples did not even know how to react to the situation. So they acted like how all the cannon fodders act, silently sitting in the background waiting for them to be called for their turns.

While everyone was facing their own fair share of problems, Noah patiently waited for the locks on the box he was working on to open.
*Clank…*
*Thnnnkk…..!*
One by one, each chain on the orb started to shatter until every last one of them disappeared without leaving a trace behind. At that moment, a white light shot out of the orb and rushed towards Noah at a fast pace.
Seeing this, Elysia immediately panicked, thinking Noah was being attacked. Just as she moved to place her body in front of Noah to block the attack, Noah raised his hand to stop her in her way.
*Thump!*
The light entered Noah's heart, and he felt his consciousness connecting to the tower itself.
Noah was well aware of what just happened.
"What just happened?"
"I became the real owner of this place." Seeing the concerned look on the woman's face, Noah touched her cheek with his hands and replied warmly.
Elysia leaned her cheek into his hand until Noah took it back, much to the woman's disappointment.
'I will never clean this cheek.' Unbeknownst to Noah, a determined look flashed through the woman's eyes as she made a sacred vow in her heart.
The guy in question was looking at the glowing object that was still floating in the air after the orb had vanished.
Noah's eyes went wide, seeing the object right in front of his eyes; he unconsciously opened his mouth to utter.
"Magic circuit?!" The shock was evident in his voice as he looked at the intricate and elaborate root-like vein structure floating in the air. Each node of the vein was connected to another one in a very precise and complicated manner.
A soft and intense glow was emitting from the circuit in the form of pulses. It was the same magical energy that was sending pulses in the surroundings.
"What is a magic circuit?' Seeing Noah showing so much curiosity in a thing that resembles the human nervous system, Elysia also got asked with curiosity.
"Mana Circuit or more commonly known as mana veins are the reason I cannot use magic in this world; they are the reason my seals are a little weaker. They were originally designed to work on mana and not on qi. Mana Veins are like Meridians but exclusive to 'Mana'."
Noah looked at the vein that was slowly losing its energy with doubts; he was worried about how he would find a way to get a magic circuit for his body, and there it was, the answer to his problem, right in front of him.
"Mana needs a magic core to be stored and a magic circuit to travel through. A magic core is just like Dantian but for magic and it's easy to create when I will make my new body but this vein circuit is the most difficult part." Hearing his explanation, Elysia knew the reason for Noah's shock.
Something like meridians could not be easily extracted from someone and she did not even know how the magic circuit worked.
"I need to store it," Noah muttered seeing the glow of the veins reducing by each passing sect.
Just as he was about to raise his hand to touch the thing, it moved.
*Woosh!*
Instantly the veins rushed towards Noah and entered his body.
"...…."
Seeing the familiar scene, silence enveloped the room.
"Why does everything in this place like to enter my body?" Noah could not help but grumble in confusion and hatred, witnessing what just happened.
'Why cannot I receive any rewards in a normal way? Now where did that thing go…'
Noah felt a headache coming to him as he searched his body for the traces of the mana veins.
