Chapter 10: [10] Hey there, Cap't...
A/N: Sorry it took a while to take out a chapter. Thanksgiving was rather...troublesome this year. I also got a new laptop, that took a while to set up.

-3rd POV-
Meliodas looked at the building with his jaw wide open.
'Boar Hat Tavern!?' Meliodas thought in surprise as he finally realized why the cone-shaped house looked so familiar.
It was Meliodas's tavern, the Meliodas from the anime [The Seven Deadly Sins].
'Shit, do demons and angels exist here?!" Meliodas worried. But he had no time for that, he was already walking in.
As they finally crossed through the door, Meliodas and the children looked around in amazement.
The place was packed to the brim with people; beers, and wine in everyone's hands.
But that's not what surprised Meliodas; what surprised him was the floating plates of food that were flying to people's tables.
'A vision user?' Meliodas wondered. He could feel that the plates were just floating by themselves, they were being controlled by something.
Wind? yeah, that was it. But it didn't feel like the average elemental energy a Vision user controls. This wind felt like it didn't have a mold, no sure shape. As if it was on the verge of being wind and, not being wind?
It was confusing but he was sure of one thing, it was wind that was holding up the plates.
"Follow me, kid. We're lucky that there's a table at the corner over there" Duncan said with a sigh of relief as he began to go to one of the very few tables available, scratch that, it was the only one.
Everyone sat down on the wooden table.
"Nice place right?" Duncan asked.
"Yeah...it sure is..." Meliodas replied, continuously becoming unsettled by the place.
Especially a specific picture frame on the wall. It was a bit far, but he could see a few of the people in the frame.
There was a total of three people in it. The first one was a man with deep crimson eyes, pale blue hair, and a strong-looking body. His name was Ban. The second person looked like a little girl with blonde hair and golden eyes. Her name was Elaine.
The final person in the picture was a mixture of both, a kid with blonde hair and red eyes. It was their son, Lancelot. They were all characters from the Seven Deadly Sins.
"Hello, what can I...get for you....?" A childish yet mature voice suddenly chimed in from the side. But it slowly began to trail off.
Looking toward the direction of the voice, Meliodas met eye-to-eye with a shocked-looking Elaine.
Fate is one hell of a thing.
-3rd POV-
I stared eye-to-eye with Elaine. A long defeating silence stood everything around us still. The silence was awkward.
"Um, little miss?" I asked with worry as I shook my hand in front of her face.
She blinked a few times, seemingly rebooting for some reason "Eh? AH! Yes, sorry. W-what is your order?" She asked Shily.
She seemed shaken. like she had seen a ghost or something.
Hmmm~ suspicious!
Perhaps they know another version of me?
So far I've met characters from Anime shows that should not be related to Genshin Impact. Maybe they already have an Izumi Miyamura here?
(A/N: Remember that your character model is Izumi Miyamura)
Meh, I'll put that thought at the back of my mind for now. It's time to eat!
Hmm~ Pasta, sandwhcih, pizza...Macrons, Pozole, and Sushi?
Damn, they really do have a lot of variety.
"I'll go with the Sushi" I told Elaine.
"Sushi, got it!" She said with a smile.
"..." (Meliodas)
"Um, aren't you going to write it down?" I asked.
She had a notepad and pencil out, but she wasn't writing.
"I already did," She said as she showed me her notepad.
Eh? It really has my order written down.
Huh, guess I didn't notice her writing it or something.
After that, the rest of us ordered something to eat.
-3rd POV-
After Elaine left, Meliodas looked over to Duncan.
"Sooo, who is she?" Asked Meliodas, hoping for some answers from him.
"That is Ms. Elaine, Wife of the guy that owns this fine establishment" Explained Duncan as if it was the most natural thing in the world. And it shouldn't be considering the fact that a girl who looks like a child is already someone's wife.
"Yeah but..." Melodas didn't know if Duncan was stupid or not.
'Ah!' Duncan finally seemed to notice what he was hinting at. To the people outside of Mondstat, it might seem weird for someone of his to be referring to her as 'Ms. Elaine', but to them it is natural.
Why?
Because to Duncan's knowledge, she has lived here in Mondstat longer than he has lived as a whole!
In his 45 years of living, he hasn't seen Elaine age a single bit.
He could steel remember when his mother brought him to the Boar Hat Tavern when he was but a wee little lad. And yet, despite all those passing years, she hasn't changed one bit.
Of course, it was obvious to everyone that she wasn't normal considering her unaging body and her ability to control Anemo without a vision, some even theorized that she was Barbatos himself in disguise!
But no one has ever dared ask her, not mostly to the fact that they didn't ask out of respect, but because she can be REALLY scary when she's pissed. No one wanted to face her wrath for asking the wrong questions, for even the most pure and beautiful of roses can have thorns.
"Well...um, let's just say that she's special. And she's also way older than me" Duncan replied with a wry smile, not before making sure Elaine wasn't around to hear him. He has seen the consequences of someone calling, Elaine "Old". it never ends pretty.
"I see..." He, in fact, did not see.
His response was weirdly cryptic and lacking in details, so what he said was absolutely useless to Meliodas. The only info he managed to obtain was that she was way older than Duncan, and that...nope, that's it.
"Here's 'ya order!" A voice, once again, suddenly chimed in from behind Meliodas.
Tall, light blue hair, crimson eyes, and a small but tightly worn crop top shirt that made him look like a lesbian biker. Those were the features of the man in front of Meliodas.
'Ban?' Meliodas thought in his mind. Elaine was here so it was obvious to Meliodas that he would be here as well.
Ban began to gently lay the beautiful platers of food we had ordered on the table, each of them giving off an enchanting aroma.
As I was about to dig in "So, are you all new here?" Ban suddenly asked, taking a seat on our table, even Mr. Duncan seemed surprised by his actions.
"Um yeah, kind of" I responded awkwardly as he looked at me intensely. Like, dude, you have a wife!.
As I kept eye contact with him I took a bite of my sush-HOLY FUCK THIS IS GOOD!
My hand moved on its own as it stuffed the sushi into mu mouth. Every delectable bite exploded with flavor inside my mouth.
-3rd POV-
Ban looked at the Meliodas as he devoured the sushi. Many emotions went though him. Nervousness, happiness, and nostalgia.
"So, Cap't, how was it?" Ban asked.
'Cap't?' Meliodas thought in confusion.
What does he mean by "Cap't"?
'Hm, maybe it's how he calls his customers?' He concluded. Usually when you're buying something from a restaurant or a stall, the cook sometimes can call you "Boss" or "Patron". Maybe calling someone Cap't is something similar.
"It's delicious, I've never eaten sushi this good!" Meliodas answered truthfully. He as consumed a lot of sushi in his past life, meaning that he has tried a lot of variety and quality of sushi. But this, this was definitely the best sushi he has ever had.
Ban continued to watch the group eat food, completely forgetting of the piling up orders he has to make.
"You never change, do you Cap't?" Ban muttered softly under his breath as he watched the children next to Meliodas eat his food. It was a cute sight for anyone who was watching, both father and child eating their food with gusto. Despite all of them looking absolutely different from each other; it was undeniable that they were family.
But his eyes turned sharp for a split second, time seemed to slow down all around him.
No, time didn't slow down at all. It was just that Ban was too fast for anyone to perceive, even for Meliodas.
he stood up and approached from his seat and approached the frozen Meliodas.
"let's see...~" He said as he reached for Meliodas's sleeve and pulled it up, revealing a tattoo of a dragon eating itself in the shape of a circle.
Ban's sharp eyes softened as he saw the tattoo, confirming his thoughts.
"I know you can't hear me, but...welcome back captain" Ban spoke softly .
Pulling Meliodas's sleeve down and sitting back on his seat, time flowed once again. or at least Ban slowed down enough for everyone to be able to sense him.
