Chapter 64: Chapter 64: My Favorite is the Glaze Lily
Chapter 64 My Favorite is glaze lily
---
Liyue.
Firewood-Collecting Valley.
At this moment, Amon was accompanying Ganyu to inspect the situation around the Chasm.
Along the way, the two didn't notice anything unusual.
The forest path was particularly quiet, with only small sparrows perched on treetops, chirping occasionally.
The sun shone brightly in the clear sky.
The mountains and plains were covered in blooming flowers.
A cool breeze blew, scattering petals and filling the air with their fragrance.
Even during the inspection, Ganyu couldn't help but glance at the flowers a few times.
She thought to herself, If I could take a nap in such a beautiful place, I'd surely have a sweet dream.
In the game's lore, Ganyu has a great love for flowers.
Sometimes, she would even go as far as to drive away a group of Hilichurls just to protect a field of Sweet Flowers.
It can be said that Ganyu's fondness for flowers runs deep.
While she was lost in thought, Amon waved a hand gently in front of her.
"Ms. Ganyu? Miss Ganyu? Are you listening?"
Ganyu snapped out of her reverie and quickly regained her focus.
She looked up at Amon with her beautiful, water-clear eyes.
"Mr. Amon, do you have a question?"
Amon, still a bit confused, replied, "I was asking if we're about to reach the Chasm."
He paused and continued, "Also, Ms. Ganyu, what were you thinking about just now? I called your name several times, but you didn't seem to hear me."
For a moment, Ganyu's cheeks flushed. She realized she had been distracted.
How could I get lost in thought while working? That's completely unprofessional.
Embarrassed, Ganyu apologized. "Mr. Amon, I'm sorry. I was distracted earlier."
She quickly added, "As for your question, the outer edge of the Chasm isn't far ahead. The Chasm is currently sealed off, so we only need to investigate the entrance."
Amon nodded.
After a brief silence, he glanced at Ganyu again and chuckled. "Ms. Ganyu, you must really like Glaze Lilies, don't you?"
He had noticed her gaze lingering on a nearby patch of Glaze Lilies earlier.
Ganyu was taken aback by the question but soon nodded slightly.
"Yes, Mr. Amon. I think Glaze Lilies are very beautiful. The ones growing wild in the mountains feel different from those cultivated in Liyue's flower shops."
She added, "The fragrance of wild Glaze Lilies is much stronger."
Ganyu shared her thoughts with Amon. As a half-human, half-Adeptus, her sensitivity to nature far exceeded that of ordinary people.
Just as Ganyu was about to express more of her opinions, her expression turned serious.
"Mr. Amon, something's not right ahead," she said. "It's... the Treasure Hoarders!"
Following her gaze, Amon saw a group of Treasure Hoarders mining in a nearby cave.
The Hoarders were digging furiously, their tools nearly breaking under the strain, yet they didn't pause to rest.
Ganyu noticed they were digging in the direction of the Chasm. Though their purpose was unclear, she wouldn't allow anyone to trespass into the forbidden area.
"You've violated Liyue's regulations. Stop immediately and come with me," Ganyu declared firmly.
The Treasure Hoarders were startled by her sudden appearance.
"Boss! It's the Adeptus! She's here!"
"Why is Ganyu here? Didn't they say this site was hidden and no one would find out?"
"What should we do? Ganyu's an Adeptus! She's too powerful! Should we run?"
Many panicked, but their leader—holding a shovel—remained calm.
He looked at his frightened subordinates with disappointment. "Cowards! Are you seriously afraid just because she's an Adeptus?"
"What's this nonsense about running? That's ridiculous. We should surrender right now!"
The leader dropped his weapon and knelt before Ganyu.
"Lady Ganyu, I'm complying with your orders. Please don't harm us!"
He was well aware of the vast power difference between humans and an Adeptus.
Facing someone like Ganyu, resistance was futile. The rest of the Treasure Hoarders quickly followed their leader's example, kneeling in surrender.
Ganyu, used to their fear of the strong, asked sternly, "Do you know that the Chasm is sealed off and no one is allowed near it? And yet, you attempted to dig a tunnel. This is a serious crime."
She added, "You're looking at more than ten years in prison."
Hearing this, the leader panicked. "More than ten years? Lady Ganyu, we didn't want to do this! We were forced!"
Before he could elaborate, the ground shook violently.
Two Primo Geovishaps burst from the earth, landing heavily.
The ground trembled as they roared, their enormous tails smashing into the ground. Dust and debris flew everywhere.
These Geovishaps were larger and more aggressive than any Amon had seen before. Their eyes glowed red with fury.
Behind them was a mass of black mud, a substance unique to the Chasm.
The black mud not only sapped health and slowed movement but also made monsters more violent.
The Primo Geovishaps were now completely out of control, destroying everything in their path.
Terrified, the Treasure Hoarder leader begged, "Lady Ganyu, please arrest us! Throw us in jail! The Fatui are trying to silence us!"
