Chapter 65: Devansha eyes.
The next morning Whittaker woke up at 6:30 A.M. A system notification was apparent in his vision.
‹Mission Completed: Go eat something before going to bed.
Rewards obtained: Pain killers (S-ranked).
[Pain Killers (5 pieces): Provide relief from pain, once used even the pain of losing a limb will be numbed.
The first thing he did was head to the bathroom. He locked himself inside the security that the bathroom provided.
The cooldown on the frost mage class has ended, hence it was time to level up!
The Frost Mage Class only needed 100 experience points to advance to level two while he had 1400 experience points. He gazed at the character screen and a system notification followed.
[Consumed 100 Experience points. Total XP 1300]
With a "Bee!" sound, Whittaker became a level 2 Frost mage, and multiple windows popped up.
[Frost Mage Class: 1»2]
[Gained 4 Attributes Points]
[Gained 2 Skill development points]
[Leveling up for Frost Mage class is set on a 24-hour cooldown period. The User can not level up Frost Mage Class as long as this period remains]
On the character screen, the same ticking clock appeared before the Frost Mage Class.
'I have three skill development points. Which skill should I develop? Let's first increase my stats.' Whittaker thought.
Focusing his gaze on the intelligence stat, he put the four attributes points into the intelligence stat.
[Intelligent increased: 26»30]
[Mana point increased: 260»300. Total mana points 400/400]
[Mana Recovery per second increased: 13»15]
[Magic Defense increased: 52»60]
[Magic attack Damage increased: 26»30]
Whittaker should be happy as he was one step closer to E-rank mage but his eyes showed a vacant look. Mana inside his body rushed towards his head as if wanting to explode him. Whittaker's ears ringed and he felt that he had lost his hearing abilities. All the mana rushed towards a certain part of his brain and crashed into a sealed gate. For a while, this situation continued. Every time the mana crashed into the sealed gate, Whittaker would feel like he had been hammered by an Orge.
Bam! Bam! Bam! A hammering sound rang in his head and he fell to his knees. The pain didn't stop and he curled up into a ball. Tears leaked out of his closed eyes as he clutched his head in his hand. His long and wavy snowy hairs laid scattered over the tiled floor of the bathroom.
1 second... 2 seconds... 3 seconds...
In the fifteen seconds, the seal in his brain was forcefully opened up by the mana, almost immediately, all the pain vanished.
Whittaker blinked his eyes, long and white eyelashes moving up and down. Vision has returned to his eyes, so did the strength that has left him. Multiple system notification has long since appeared in his vision, seeing which, he realized why it happened.
‹Hidden Inheritance mission Completed: Awakening of Devansha Bloodline (1)›
Description: Enhance the spiritual senses to a short level by reaching thirty points in intelligence.
‹Rewards: Devansha vision.
[Guardian has increased intelligence to 30. Guardian has completed the first inheritance mission of Devansha clan]
[Guardian's eyes are being modified. Please stay calm and allow the mana to rush into them]
Mana from his mana pool and the nearby surrounding rushed into his wide-open crystal icy eyes. The mana rushing into his eyes created a tingling feeling and Whittaker really wanted to rub his eyes, but he controlled himself. Whittaker didn't resist and allowed the mana to modify his eyes.
Ten seconds later, he got used to the tingling feeling.
"Phew~" Whittaker breathed a sigh of relief. 'I nearly thought that the mana pool has destabilized, once again, but it seems like it's just because of my bloodline.' He shifted his attention towards the system, 'Though, System are you something like an inheritance dungeon that Headmaster Yeon invented?'
System replied,
[Yes, in a way you can consider me as such]
Right then, another notification popped up,
[Guardian's eyes have been modified. Exceptional vision (passive) upgraded into Devansha vision (Active)]
[Devansha vision: The guardian can pour mana into his eyes to enhance his vision, allowing him to see with amazing clarity and with a wider vision. Guardian will be able to see minute detail of every object irrespective of their distance, or color. Guardian can also see everything clearly in the darkest of environments. Low-level illusions do not affect you. There's a certain chance to peak into the spirit world. Guardian can see everything in front of his eyes and behind his back.
Cost: 1 Mana every minute]
Whittaker didn't need to ask Night Will's system how to pour mana into the eyes. It felt like this information was present in his blood. He immediately poured mana into his and he felt amazed. It felt like there were eyes behind his head!
He could see the bathroom door and the mirror, even though they were placed in opposite directions, and Whittaker was facing the Mirror.
Whittaker was curious about the spirit world. Shadow had initiated this curiosity and the system has fanned the flames. 'System, what's the spirit world?'
Soon after, the system replied,
[A dimension that closely overlaps with the physical plane. In the spirit world, different beings live. They are demonic spirits, divine spirit clans, elemental bodies, and much more. The physical world and the spirit world are only separated by two moons. And when these moons overlap, this separation ends.]
The system words have led him to another thought, and he hurriedly asked the system to clarify it.
'So is devansha Clan a divine spirit clan from the spirit world? Are my parents from the spirit world?
[For the first question, Yes. The rest will be told to you by the guardian of the Devansha clan]
The system ended the talk with that.
Whittaker realized that he was covered in sweat from head to toe, and it seems like he really needs to take bath otherwise, he would feel slimy. Hence, he took a bath and then got dressed in his clean academy uniforms.
By the time he left the bathroom, Shadow was already awake. Shadow woke up early as he had changed his class timing.
Whittaker casually chatted with him. Shadow told him that he was trying to find a merchant who would purchase their 3000 Silver Moon Grass.
By the time Whittaker left the boy's dormitory, a beaming smile has enacted his face. During the talk, Shadow had told him that the profit from the sale of the Silver Moon grass will be split equally between them. He estimated that each person will earn more than 700 Platinum bars!
