Game of Thrones: Rise of the Supreme Dragon Queen

Chapter 162: Chapter 162: The Birth of Little Four

"Blood and fire share the same origin. Blood is fire, and fire is the essence of this world's existence. My blood allows the young dragon to withstand higher temperatures at birth. The higher the temperature it endures as a hatchling, the greater its resistance to fire as it grows."

Dany was drenched in sweat, yet her voice remained calm.

"So that's how it works." The crowd's faces were filled with realization and awe.

During the process of assisting the three dragons and one egg in absorbing spiritual essence, the multicolored light particles first entered Dany's soul. Because dragon souls shared a mysterious connection with her own, the spiritual essence could pass through her sea of consciousness and into the dragons' awareness.

As a result, Dany's own soul was of exceptionally high quality, and her blood was rich in concentrated spiritual essence.

Now, using her blood to help hatch Little Four wasn't just a supplement for the baby dragon—it was primarily a way to strengthen their bond.

A bond connected by blood itself.

Blacky was the closest to Dany because he could establish a dragon-spirit connection with her, allowing him to absorb spiritual essence more efficiently.

Whitey and Greeny were obedient when they first hatched, but as Dany grew closer to Blacky, the two gradually became more distant from her.

This was the nature of dragons—at any given time, they could only have one companion, one rider.

A dragon rider could not command two dragons, nor could two people share a single dragon.

However, Dany was no ordinary dragon rider. She was the Mother of Dragons. Even if she couldn't establish a dragon dream connection with them, Whitey and Greeny would never refuse her as their rider.

Later, during the Dragon Horn incident, Dany once again merged souls with Whitey and Greeny. Together, the three dragons and their mother shattered the horn's control. Beyond gaining a new sorcery ability, the most profound change was in their relationship—

No longer just a master and her beasts, they had become family, friends, partners. While they still lacked the "skill slot" connection for dragon dreams, Whitey and Greeny had become as obedient as Blacky—at least when they understood commands.

Well… the two dragons weren't very bright, with the intelligence of five- or six-year-old children. They often misunderstood what was said to them.

Blacky wasn't much smarter, but Dany could guide him in real time through their dragon-spirit link.

The newborn Little Four, however, posed a new challenge.

Like his second and third brothers before him, Little Four would be incredibly close to Dany in his early years, even merging his soul with hers occasionally through dragon dreams.

But as he matured and his will strengthened, even though he would still love his mother, he would gradually drift away from her.

That was why Dany needed to perform the most primal "blood sacrifice" at the moment of his birth—infusing her very essence into Little Four's soul.

She drew spiritual essence from her own body, merging it with her blood and transferring it into Little Four.

At this moment, still struggling inside his egg, Little Four was in a dragon-spirit state with Dany, making him highly receptive to his mother's gift.

"Crack!"

A distinct fracturing sound startled the onlookers. One by one, they craned their necks, staring intently at the stone egg on the furnace.

"Wait, are the flames dying down?" Belwas exclaimed in surprise.

Indeed, the bright red tongues of fire, which had been flickering half a meter high, were now visibly shrinking, as if the gas valve had been gradually turned off.

"Add more charcoal! We can't let the flames die out while hatching a dragon!" Red-haired Laela urgently instructed the Unsullied operating the bellows.

The newly built furnace had two iron pipes—one long and thin, the other short and thick. The thin pipe was connected to the bellows, pumping air into the base of the furnace. The thick pipe, sealed with a stopper, served as the charcoal intake.

"The charcoal is full—I just added more," the Unsullied tending the fire said in confusion.

"The flames aren't going out. They're..."

Fat Morono pointed at the increasingly fractured stone egg, his voice trembling. "The flames are being absorbed by the dragon egg—devoured by the true dragon inside."

The group focused their attention. Sure enough, between the tiny black cracks in the egg, faint reddish wisps as fine as cow hair were seeping inside.

Gradually, a phantom-like vortex of fire formed between Dany's hands. The flames rising from the furnace swirled like ocean water caught in a whirlpool, flowing seamlessly into the stone egg below.

"Is this… how a dragon hatches?" Bruce Wayne murmured in shock.

Even the seasoned spectators were left speechless.

Even Dany herself was astounded. She had hatched dragons once before, but that time, she had been engulfed in fire and unable to see anything.

Now, she was witnessing firsthand how fire and dragon soul intertwined, slowly forging a palm-sized hatchling.

Suddenly, the long-dormant system in Dany's mind transmitted a message:

"The planetary will grants each dragon egg a Dragon Seal—much like a manufacturer assigning an authenticity code to a product. Each seal can birth only one dragon."

"Even if a dragon egg turns to stone, the fossilized egg still retains its Dragon Seal."

"A normal, living dragon egg can naturally absorb spiritual essence from the world. When combined with the Dragon Seal, it forms a complete dragon soul. The dragon soul develops alongside the embryo within the shell until it matures and hatches."

"When the Mother of Dragons hatches an egg, she can manually infuse spiritual essence into the Dragon Seal, gradually forming a soul."

"Since the active substances inside a petrified egg have turned to stone, the embryo within has lost its original body. Through the Mother of Dragons' assistance, it absorbs energy from fire, undergoing rebirth within the flames."

"Blood is fire, fire is blood. Blood and fire are one and the same!"

In that instant, Dany gained a new understanding of the Valyrian saying.

"Fire is the source of life itself. By harnessing its power, along with my own blood, I forge a body for the young dragon," she declared proudly.

"This…" Red-haired Laela's eyes widened in disbelief. "This is beyond mythic!"

"Yeah… even the fairy tales of Westeros aren't this exaggerated," Bruce muttered, nodding.

"But it's real," Belwas stepped closer, peering at the cracks on the stone egg. "There's something inside… A dragon… The fire is forming its body."

As he spoke, the tall eunuch suddenly looked enlightened. "No wonder their bodies are so hot, and their dragon essence is so fiery. Eating it made me break into a sweat—I've been swallowing fire all along."

"Crack! Crack-crack!" The fissures grew larger, and the stone egg finally shattered into several pieces.

"Hiss—!" A palm-sized little dragon crawled into Dany's hand, tilting its head back to let out a sharp cry.

"Look at it! Its body—" Belwas pointed at the little dragon, his eyes wide with shock. "Is it… unreal?"

The little dragon's body appeared as if made of golden-red glass, giving it a translucent and almost illusory appearance.

"Its body is solidifying!" Morono mused thoughtfully. "Her Majesty was right—true dragons absorb fire to forge their bodies. No wonder a stone egg could hatch a dragon. As long as the soul exists, a true dragon can be born from fire."

Even after hatching, the little dragon continued burning for another two hours, consuming hundreds of kilograms of charcoal. Finally, its body fully solidified into a tangible form.

Dany watched the kitten-sized dragon nibbling at her fingertip and grinned. "Since you're so golden, I'll call you 'Goldie'!"

The moment she said this, the awe on everyone's faces—born from witnessing the Dragon Queen hatch a dragon—froze in place.

What kind of ridiculous name was that?

Besides, the little dragon wasn't entirely golden. Its wings had noticeable bronze spots, and the skin covering its spine carried a deep bluish-green hue.

Having just won a great battle and now successfully hatched a dragon, Dany was in high spirits. She decided to host a banquet in the rooftop garden, inviting all the high-ranking officers.

Cleon was the first to arrive—and he brought a guest.

"Your Majesty, it's been days. That witch has been begging to see you," the Butcher Knight found Dany before the feast started, his expression hesitant. "Honestly, she scares me a little. I don't dare release her without your permission, but I don't want to refuse her outright either. You should deal with her."

"What are you afraid of?" Dany asked casually while playing with little Goldie.

"That witch sacrificed hundreds of members of Mourinho's family—how could I not be afraid?" The burly, scar-faced butcher muttered.

"Haven't I told you before? Honor the gods but keep your distance, and calamity will pass you by. As long as you don't engage with them, in most cases, you won't be in danger."

Dany didn't make an absolute statement. Under normal circumstances, avoiding mysterious individuals was enough to prevent sorcery from harming you. This world had many sorcerers, but 99.99% of them were useless—one curved blade could cut through a whole group.

Yet, a rare few transcended mortal limits and stepped into the realm of the unknowable—demigods like the Undying Ones, or powerful sorceresses like Melisandre under Stannis' command.

Clearly, the Rainbow Knight Renly hadn't provoked any mystical forces, yet he was still slain by blood magic.

"So, Your Majesty, should we release the witch? Maybe we should keep her in your pyramid?" Cleon lowered his head, speaking cautiously.

You can't even pronounce something as simple as 'Ci Ning Palace' properly, and you expect me to take the fall for you?

Dany shot him a calm glance and said, "Bring her to the rooftop garden."

The cooks were still preparing food below, and in the garden, only three long wooden tables, each about eight or nine meters in length, had been set up.

If there were enough space, Dany would've preferred to join the tables together.

In this world, it was customary for rulers to dine at the same table as their vassals.

When the old witch followed Cleon into the rooftop garden, the first thing she saw was the three dragons perched on the western wall. Lowering her gaze, she noticed the silver-haired girl seated beneath them.

There was no doubt—the youthful, strikingly beautiful girl, with a touch of innocence and a dash of heroic spirit, was the Mother of Dragons. So young!

And just as the rumors described—silver hair, violet eyes, and the exquisite features of Valyrian descent.

The witch sighed inwardly and stepped forward to pay her respects.

"Hiss—"

Her movement startled the dragons on the wall. However, the six fist-sized eyes merely gave her and Cleon a casual glance before turning away, refocusing on a small creature at the head of the central long table. The tiny beast was gnawing on a charred strip of meat, about the thickness of a finger.

Wait—no, that wasn't a wild beast—it was…

"A dragon! A golden dragon! This is a newborn golden dragon!" The old witch pointed at the little dragon, exclaiming in shock.

Beside her, Cleon's face darkened, and he whispered, "Mind your manners before the Queen!"

"It's alright," Dany waved dismissively. "It's her first time seeing a dragon—losing her composure a little is understandable." She gave a glance to the Unsullied and gestured toward the witch. "Madam, please, have a seat."

An Unsullied pulled out a high-backed oak chair in the fourth seat position along the long table. Meanwhile, Jhiqui arrived just in time with a cup of milk tea and a small platter of dried fruits.

Suppressing her turbulent emotions, the old witch murmured a word of thanks before taking a seat diagonally across from Dany.
