BOOM!

A hand emerges from a newly formed crater, followed by the body of an individual. A tall, young blond man in his signature bartender suit and chic blue sunglasses stands up, dusting himself off.

"Grrrrr!"

"Argh!!!"

"Fuking Dammit! My power release is crap!"

Several hours have passed since Shizuo ventured beyond the safety of Vale's walls, practicing his Energy Absorption semblance in the depths of the forest. He's well aware that he can absorb all forms of energy; however, the challenge lies in releasing it.

He's discovered that his Kinetikinesis allows him to detonate anything he touches, akin to a time bomb, by transferring his stored energy. Additionally, he has mastered the following abilities thanks to raising his Skill Stat.

-Enhanced Strength: Shizuo can lift and hold approximately one hundred times his weight when properly energized.

-Enhanced Speed: Shizuo's speed increases after absorbing kinetic energy.

-Enhanced Stamina: Shizuo's stamina surpasses normal human levels upon absorbing kinetic energy.

-Energy Wave Emission: Shizuo has the ability to release absorbed energy as devastating area of effect (AoE) discharges.

-Energy-Enhanced Strike: Shizuo can enhance his melee attacks by coating his fists in raw dynamic force.

-Concussion Blasts: Shizuo can emit concentrated energy blasts from his hands at will.

After investing 10,000 MSP in the System, Shizuo discovered that the Skill Stat governs the effective use of his knowledge, aiding in the execution and performance of tasks. Physiologically, it enhances his dexterity and coordination, while intellectually, it boosts his capacity to learn, understand, and apply knowledge.

Whistle!

"God damn! The Skill Stat is overpowered. No wonder I learned so quickly; raising this stat was the best thing I ever did."

Shizuo heard faint sounds, barely audible, thanks to his Perception Stat. The sounds of life—footsteps, tones—all circling him. In his clear mind, he could pinpoint their locations around him; there were about two dozen of them.

"HAWOOOOOOOO!!!"

As if in response, howls echoed out, surrounding him from every direction.

"Um, huh? I don't know if I'm lucky or unlucky to have this many wolves surrounding me. Oh, wait, I forgot they're not wolves but something even worse—a pack of Beowolves. YAY! Lucky me..."

With that, he propelled himself towards the nearest adversary, leaving the earth shattered in his wake.

"Die! Die! Die! Die! Die! DIE!"

With a single punch, Shizuo hurled the Beowolf into the trees, killing it as it smashed through the first trunk. Trusting his instincts from his Perception Stat, he sidestepped a Beowolf lunging at him. Narrowly avoiding the creature, he seized it by the leg in a fury and began to swing it as if it were a baseball bat.

"What's up, Beowolves! We're gonna have a blast, don't ya know!"

Shizuo declared in a cheerfully menacing tone, his razor-sharp teeth bared in a grin.

Wielding the Beowolf as a cudgel, he smashed the upper body of another and continued to decimate its kin, until it dissipated into black mist, leaving no trace.

The Alpha Beowolf of the pack launched an attack, undeterred by the human's presence. However, its swipe was effortlessly halted by Shizuo's arm, absorbing the strike's kinetic energy as if hitting a sponge, thanks to his Semblance: Energy Absorption.

Taken aback by the absorption of its kinetic energy, Shizuo seized its arm, swinging it violently back and forth, reminiscent of a caveman dispatching a serpent, until the limb detached. Shortly after, he subdued nearly all of them, sparing only two. Overcome with terror, the survivors fled from him as fast as they could.

"WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING? GET BACK HERE, GRIMM!"

In their frantic escape, the Grimm were pursued by Shizuo, who decimated any other Grimm that crossed his path. The Beowolves sought refuge among larger packs and more formidable Grimm species such as Ursas, Beringels, Death Stalkers, Griffons, King Taijitus, Manticores, and Nevermores.

That day, the creatures of Grimm experienced true terror, for hours later, Shizuo stood atop the carcass of a Goliath, one of the giant elephant-like Creatures of Grimm that wanders Vale. He had lost count of the Grimm he had destroyed, leaving a trail of ruin as he pursued the Beowolves that had come to assail him, only for them to flee in dread.

Descending from the remains of a Goliath, he landed beside the two trembling Beowolves he had pursued. Before taking any action, he recalled that his Scroll was in his vest pocket, left on to document his training. He switched it off to conserve battery life.

"What shall I do with you? HAH!"

Shizuo exclaimed as he stamped his foot onto the head of a Beowolf, taken aback by a sudden System alert.

[Does Host wish to exchange Beowolf for 500 MSP?]

"System, why didn't I receive the alert to exchange the other Grimm?"

[Providing an answer will cost 100 MSP, Host]

"Damn, this greedy system. FINE, I'll pay!"

[Payment accepted. Responding to inquiry.]

[The Host may only exchange a living being or creature that has been captured or is incapacitated. Corpses may also be exchanged, but their value depends on the condition of the body. Since Grimm leave no corpses, no exchange was possible, Host.]

Approaching the next Beowolf, he was presented with the same offer, so he made the exchange.

"So, I just need to capture or incapacitate them, correct, System?"

[Affirmative!]

Shizuo then recollected that a giant Grimm was lying in a mountain near Vale. He dedicated the following three days to its pursuit, eliminating any Grimm he encountered and recording evidence of his actions, while trading some that survived him. Until at last, he located the Wyvern.

After creating an entrance by punching through the small cavern, he stumbled upon the dormant Wyvern.

"Alright, big guy, let's see what a clash between us would look like! It's not like I can't just trade you away immediately, can I?"

While contemplating the giant Grimm, he was startled by the unexpected System alert.

[Does the Host wish to exchange the Wyvern for 2,000,000 MSP?]

"Oh, come on! What about my epic battle?"

Opting not to succumb to another on of his temper tantrums, Shizuo decided to count his blessings and traded the Wyvern.

[Wyvern exchanged for 2,000,000 MSP]

[2,000,000 MSP + 453,000 MSP] = [2,453,000 MSP]

As Shizuo was traveling back to Vale, he discovered a White Fang camp hidden deep in the woods. Trying to avoid being spotted, he started heading in the opposite direction but met a guard outside. With quick thinking, he attempted to defuse the situation without violence.

"Hello friend, it's a good time to go for a jog outside, isn't it?"

He said.

Unfortunately, the guard didn't respond to the attempt at conversation and shot at Shizuo's head without any remorse. However, his semblance absorbed all the kinetic energy from the shot.

"You have to know a blow like that could kill a guy, right?"

"And this means that you were intentionally trying to kill me, right?"

"You aimed for my head. So, then whatever happens next is what you deserve, right!"

Seizing the opportunity, Shizuo swiftly struck the guard in the head, sending him flying and spinning in the air, after staying in the air for a couple of moments spinning, he landed on the campgrounds with a broken neck.

The commotion of the guards landing in the middle of the camp attracted the attention of other White Fang members, who started attacking Shizuo.

Focusing the kinetic energy into this foot, he stumped down, causing an explosion spreading into the campground. Flames tore through the camp, hurtling timber and ash up into the air.

White Fang members staggered under the force of the shockwave, turning with wide-eyed expressions to look back as a second, third and fourth explosion ripped through the ground, great blasts that rent the landscape and snuffed out lives.

Shizuo's hands dove into his pockets, taking small stones he picked up along the way. Focusing the kinetic energy into one of the stones, he flicked it toward one of the surviving White Fang members, making him explode when he came in contact.

He started repeating the same process to every one of the surviving members, even if they had aura it did not protect them from the shockwave that destroyed almost all their organs and bones.

Watching explosive stones impact onto their ally's chest, and making them explode, did not affect most of the members still standing. They didn't know their aura didn't protect them and with that thought they rushed in, screaming and drawing weapons.

More came from the treeline, howling battle cries. Shizuo shot the closest dead and picked up a large stone, tossing it up in the air filled with kinetic energy. A loud bang and a fearsome flash of light blinded everyone and extinguished or crippled most combatants from the shockwave of the explosion.

Night vision. All faunus had it. The thing about night vision was that it isn't actually night vision, though. It was something in the eyes that let them capture more light, to better make use of limited light during the night. That made them uniquely susceptible to sudden flashes of light.

The survivors were blinded as they rolled away from him with one arm over their eyes and hand waving before them. Others tripped and fell, some rolled on the floor and others ran into one another.

Shizuo ran past them all, still wearing his sunglasses. He picked up more small stones and flicked them at the ones that remained. Fire and ash and screams greeted him. The lucky had died instantly. There were many who were badly hurt, burned or dying.

The explosion he caused with his stomp had rippled anywhere he felt he could. The explosion had been as indiscriminate as the White Fang themselves could be. He made it just designed to sow terror and chaos.

The White Fang would have enough on their hands to deal with after he was done with the camp. Shizuo was not limited to time, since no one knew he was here and he wiped out all his Grimm near the area. So he started scavenging anything useful and traded everything he couldn't take to the System store.
