Game Merchant in Remnant

Chapter 42: Operation Baby making

Winter Schnee stood silently beside General James Ironwood, appearing remarkably composed for one of many females who had volunteered for the very project that James was advocating for.

Shizuo entered with his hands in his pockets, surveying the room through his sunglasses with curiosity.

"Hello, Shizuo. Thank you for coming."

Ozpin greeted, prompting a nod from Akari.

"As you've surmised, this is Winter Schnee, Weiss's sister, and James Ironwood, General of the Atlesian military and headmaster of Atlas Academy."

"Sup."

Shizuo greeted in his typical relaxed fashion, waving casually at the esteemed general. James, unfazed, returned the gesture with a nod.

"Mister Shizuo, if our enemies manage to kill you, your ancient lineage will end. Your genes are too vital in the war against darkness to risk losing them. While keeping you safe is a priority, we can't guarantee your safety."

James concurred.

"It's possible that your magic could be inherited by any offspring. This presents us with a rare opportunity."

"So, you're suggesting I have children?"

A moment of tension filled the air as Shizuo's casual tone contrasted sharply with the seriousness of the conversation. General Ironwood's expression shifted slightly, revealing a mixture of surprise and contemplation.

James Ironwood cleared his throat, glancing at Ozpin for support before returning his gaze to Shizuo.

"In essence, yes."

James replied.

"Your abilities are unique, Shizuo, and we believe that passing on your genetics—your extraordinary talents—could play a crucial role in strengthening our forces in the future. In this war against the darkness, we need every advantage we can get."

Winter Schnee, standing with her usual poise, crossed her arms.

"It's not just about having children, though. This would be a carefully controlled program to ensure that the next generation is well-trained, supported, and ready to face the challenges ahead."

Her words carried the disciplined tone of a soldier, though there was an undercurrent of personal interest.

Shizuo shifted his weight slightly, still maintaining his relaxed demeanor.

"So, you're saying I should just go around making babies for the sake of the war?"

His tone was playful, yet there was an underlying seriousness to his words.

Ozpin, standing nearby, adjusted his glasses.

"It's more than just a military strategy, Shizuo. It's about ensuring the survival of humanity and creating a future where we stand a chance against the ever-growing threat of Grimm and other forces of darkness. Your bloodline holds power that could tip the scales in our favor."

James nodded, continuing.

"Think of it as a long-term investment in our fight. If you're willing, we can provide the resources and protection necessary for you and your family."

Shizuo paused leaning against the wall, processing the implications. The thought of having children was both exhilarating and daunting.

"I get what you're saying, but having kids isn't something you just do like a mission. It's a big responsibility. You're talking about lives here, not just some genetic experiment. And what about my partners? How do they fit into this plan?"

The question hung in the air, drawing attention to the delicate web of relationships surrounding Shizuo. Winter's gaze softened slightly, intrigued by the mention of his partners.

"We understand that. It's not something we would take lightly, and you would be fully involved in the process, ensuring that the children would be brought up with care and respect. You'd have support from the best we can offer."

James nodded in agreement.

"It's about giving the next generation a fighting chance—by passing on your abilities and training them to be ready for what lies ahead. And it's not just about you, Shizuo. The participants in this project, like Winter here, have also volunteered to be a part of it."

"Hmm."

Shizuo took a moment, glancing at the group assembled before him. He thought of Weiss, Ruby, Blake, and the others who had given birth already becoming his family.

"You're asking a lot, you know. This isn't just about me; it's about all of them too."

"Indeed."

Ozpin affirmed, a hint of admiration in his voice.

"But this is also about the future. You have the power to shape it. With your abilities and the love of those around you, you could create something truly remarkable."

Shizuo's eyes shifted to Winter, who maintained her composed demeanor. He could sense a deeper motivation behind her calm exterior.

"You volunteered for this?"

He asked, genuinely curious.

Winter nodded without hesitation.

"I did. This war we're fighting isn't going to end in my lifetime, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that Atlas, Remnant, and the world have the best chance of survival. If that means contributing to this project, I'm ready."

Shizuo sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.

"I didn't expect to walk into this kind of conversation today, that's for sure."

He muttered.

Ozpin stepped forward, his voice gentle but firm.

"We aren't pressuring you, Shizuo. This decision is entirely yours, but we wanted you to be aware of the potential impact you could have. You possess something truly special, and with the right guidance, your legacy could help turn the tide in this long battle."

Shizuo nodded, feeling the weight of their words. The thought of bringing new life into the world—children who could potentially carry on his legacy—was a heavy burden. But the prospect of protecting his loved ones and ensuring their safety ignited a fierce determination within him.

"Alright."

He said finally, his tone more resolute.

"If this is what it takes to secure a better future for all of us, then I'm in. But I'll need my partners on board with this. They deserve to know what's at stake."

James and Ozpin exchanged glances, a mutual understanding passing between them.

"Of course."

James replied, a satisfied nod accompanying his words.

"We'll make sure they're involved in the conversation. This is a collective effort."

"Well, since this meeting got weird, really quickly. I have something to reveal. I got a new semblance that allows me to make any woman who's pregnant deliver a baby right away. Though they do lose a year of their lifespan, since I just skip the fetus growth and birthing process. So, since Winter willingly volunteered her womb, when should I impregnate her?"

Shizuo asked.

The atmosphere in the room shifted dramatically as Shizuo's casual statement hung in the air. All eyes turned to Winter, who stood with an expression of determination and nervousness.

"I am ready."

Winter declared, her voice steady despite the weight of her words

"If this is what it takes to ensure our future, I understand the risks, and I am willing to go through with it."

General Ironwood exchanged glances with Ozpin, both men caught off guard by the abruptness of the situation. Ironwood cleared his throat, trying to regain control of the meeting.

"It's crucial we consider the implications of this decision carefully, Shizuo. Winter's willingness is commendable, but we must be thorough."

Ozpin nodded in agreement.

"Winter's choice to volunteer is commendable, but this is not a decision to take lightly. We need to ensure that the circumstances are right."

Shizuo shrugged, unfazed by the weight of the conversation.

"I understand, but if she's ready, then why wait? We could ensure that her child is born safely and that she's not burdened with the risks of traditional childbirth."

Winter glanced between the two men, her expression resolute.

"I've made my decision. I trust Shizuo. If we're to move forward, I want to do it when we're all ready. I don't want to drag this out."

James Ironwood nodded, his expression softening.

"Very well. If you're both in agreement, then let's discuss what support Winter will need through this process. It's important we have a plan in place."

Ozpin added.

"We'll also need to consider the potential consequences of using Shizuo's semblance and how it could impact both Winter and the child."

Shizuo met Winter's gaze, a mix of excitement and seriousness in his eyes.

"If you're absolutely sure, we can proceed as soon as you're ready. I want this to be a positive experience for you."

Winter nodded, determination shining in her eyes.

"I am ready. Let's move forward."

"Then we'll coordinate a time and ensure everything is prepared," Ironwood said, his demeanor more supportive now.

"This is an important step, and we'll provide whatever assistance you need."

As the conversation continued, the tension shifted from uncertainty to a collaborative effort, ensuring that Winter and Shizuo would be well-supported in this new chapter of their lives.

"Ok, before I start baby making. I have to inform you guys that my girlfriends have already given birth, and their bodies have aged up a year entering motherhood."

As Shizuo made his announcement, the room's atmosphere shifted noticeably. General Ironwood, who had been stoic up to this point, showed a glimmer of excitement that was rare for him. He straightened, his usual rigid demeanor giving way to a more animated expression.

"So, it's already begun?"

Ironwood asked, the hint of enthusiasm unmistakable in his voice.

"That means the development of a new generation with your unique abilities is happening faster than we anticipated."

Winter's eyes widened slightly, though she quickly regained her composure.

"You're telling us that all of them—Weiss, Ruby, Blake, Yang, and the others—have already given birth?"

She asked, her voice steady but with an underlying note of surprise that her little sister was a mother now.

"And they've aged up a year due to your semblance?"

Shizuo nodded, keeping his hands casually in his pockets.

"That's right. I used my semblance to skip the pregnancy and birthing process. They each aged a year of their lifespan, but they're all doing fine. They're healthy, and the babies appear to be four months old and in perfect health. I wanted you to know, especially since it affects Weiss's twins, too."

Winter exhaled slowly, her emotions carefully masked.

"It's not something I expected, but I suppose that if they've already gone through with it, then they're prepared to face the future with their children."

She glanced at Ironwood and Ozpin, then back at Shizuo.

"I'm still ready for this. I've made my decision."

Ironwood couldn't hide his excitement any longer.

"This is a major step forward. If we can accelerate the process like this, it gives us a huge advantage in our fight against the threats we face. A force of your children, each potentially inheriting your abilities… the possibilities are endless."

Ozpin, always the voice of caution, raised a hand.

"James, let's not lose sight of the human element here. We are still talking about individuals with lives, emotions, and futures. These children will need to be nurtured and guided, not just seen as assets in a war."

Ironwood nodded, though his excitement hadn't waned.

"Of course, Ozpin, but this accelerates our timeline. We'll have the next generation sooner than we thought. This could change everything."

Glynda, listening closely, finally spoke.

"I understand the urgency, General, but as Ozpin said, these children are still individuals. I'm ready to take on the responsibility, but it's not just about creating soldiers. It's about raising them, teaching them, and making sure they have the guidance they need."

Shizuo smirked, sensing the shift in the room.

"Don't worry, I'm not about to turn this into some kind of production line. Every one of my kids will be taken care of, and I'll make sure they know they're more than just weapons."

Ironwood's excitement was still visible, but he nodded in acknowledgment of Winter's and Ozpin's points.

"Of course. We'll provide the support necessary to ensure they grow into their potential."

Ozpin gave a slight nod, his concern still lingering, but he trusted Shizuo's intentions.

"Very well. We'll see how this progresses. For now, it's important that we remain focused on guiding them as individuals, not just as a force."

Shizuo glanced at Winter.

"So, are we ready to do this?"

Winter met his gaze with determination. "Yes. Let's begin."

"Oh, since Professor Goodwitch is here, I might as well demonstrate my semblance."

Shizuo concentrated, his palms radiating a dazzling white light, which wrapped Glynda in a cocoon of his Semblance. Above their bellies, a shimmering glow filled the room as a blanket bundle gently encased a luminous orb.

Instinctively, she caught the soft fabric. Within, she found an endearing baby boy whose hair, soft and colored, mirrored her own and seemed to twinkle in the light. His razor-sharp teeth were a clear sign of Shizuo's Faunus lineage.

The others in the room stood stunned at the realization that Glynda a professor was pregnant with her students, Shizuo's baby

The room fell into a heavy silence as everyone processed what had just occurred. Shizuo's demonstration of his semblance had been swift and, to everyone else, astonishing.

Glynda Goodwitch, one of the most respected professors at Beacon Academy, now stood holding a bundled blanket that contained her newborn baby boy. The soft glow around her belly had faded, replaced by the sight of her son—his hair a blend of her own and the distinct Faunus traits from Shizuo.

Glynda stared down at the baby in her arms, her eyes wide with disbelief as she gently cradled the child. Her professionalism, often unshakable, seemed momentarily forgotten as maternal instincts took over.

General Ironwood, Winter, and Ozpin were frozen in place, their expressions a mix of shock and awe. The implications of what had just happened were immense. Not only had Shizuo's semblance proven to work instantly, but the idea that Glynda, of all people, was now the mother of his child was something none of them had expected.

Ironwood was the first to speak, his voice slow and measured.

"Professor Goodwitch... this... this wasn't part of the plan."

Glynda, still holding the baby, looked up, her composed demeanor quickly returning, though her cheeks were flushed with a combination of surprise and frustration.

"Indeed, General. I was... not expecting this. Shizuo, you should have consulted me before demonstrating your semblance on me."

Shizuo, seemingly unfazed by the tension in the room, shrugged.

"I thought it'd be a good demonstration. Besides, you've always been interested in powerful magic and abilities, right?"

Ozpin cleared his throat, his eyes flickering between Glynda and the baby.

"While this... event was unexpected, it does confirm the potency of your semblance, Shizuo. But we must proceed with care."

Winter, her eyes still wide, turned to Ironwood.

"General, we need to consider the impact of this ability. If used without consent, it could lead to... complications."

Ironwood, regaining his composure, nodded.

"You're right, Winter. Shizuo, while your abilities are impressive, we must ensure that they are used responsibly."

Glynda, still visibly flustered, sighed, looking down at the baby in her arms once more.

"Shizuo, I will expect you to take full responsibility for this child. We'll speak more about this later."

Shizuo gave a nod, still casual in his demeanor.

"Yeah, yeah. Don't worry, I got it covered."

The room was still charged with tension, but the demonstration had certainly left an indelible mark on everyone present.
