From Human to Skeleton: Revived with Infinite System Crystals

Chapter 600: To seduce

Oh, well my name is Ty Hockenson," he said, his voice level, unphased by her wrath. "And, if I might add, this cloud is actually rather comfy. I mean, technically, I am classified as a demon on this planet." He shifted slightly against the cloud, testing its softness, almost as if mocking her.

The goddess's face twisted in frustration, her eyes narrowing. "Do you have no fear of me? No respect?" she demanded, her voice trembling, though whether it was from anger or something else, Ty couldn't quite tell. "Tell me your name and how you got here before I erase you from existence!" Her voice cracked, a slight tremor betraying her fierce demeanor. She tightened her grip on the scepter, her knuckles whitening.

Ty felt a pang of unease. Something was off. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but her behavior—her near-desperation—didn't match the fierce, all-powerful image she projected. He kept his eyes on her, trying to read between the lines. What was it she really wanted from him? He hesitated for a moment, unsure of how much to reveal. He had to be careful; the wrong word could mean the end of him. "My name's Ty," he repeated, keeping his tone light, even a bit playful. "And yeah, like I said, I'm sort of a demon around here."

The goddess put a finger to her cheek, her head tilting slightly as she regarded him. "A demon?" she repeated, her voice softer now, almost incredulous. "That's not right. They all died out a long time ago. A failed project or something. Though..." She paused, her eyes narrowing, "A few did ascend at some point, but that was so long ago."

Ty took a deep breath. He needed to convince her somehow. Carefully, he fought against the cloud that held him, forcing his hand through the cloudy restraint. The goddess watched, her eyes widening slightly as he managed to free his hand. With a flick of his wrist, Ty summoned a black flame, letting it dance around his fingers before enveloping his entire body in the dark, flickering glow.

She stared at him, her gaze lingering on the flames, something unreadable flashing across her face. Her voice dropped, quieter, almost uncertain. "Well... that is a bit more convincing," she admitted, her eyes locking onto his, "but that still doesn't explain why you are here now... and why you don't fear me." She stepped closer, her scepter still raised, her blue eyes piercing. "Am I not worth respecting? Am I too ugly for something like that?"

She swung the scepter down, the tip slamming into the ground inches from Ty's face, the impact reverberating through the metal floor. A tear, barely restrained, glistened in her eye, threatening to spill over. She leaned in, her voice trembling, her expression a strange mix of anger and... something else. Desperation? Sadness?

Ty swallowed, his heart pounding. He had to choose his words carefully. Should he tell her the truth? Mention the Demon King? Would that help or just land him in even deeper trouble? He could feel the weight of the situation bearing down on him, the seconds ticking away. And then there was Erebos—where did he fit into all this?

Taking a deep breath, Ty spoke, his voice steady, but cautious. "I'm here because... I'm trying to find answers. Trying to get back home. To someone I love."

For a moment, silence hung in the air, the goddess's eyes widening slightly, her lips parting in surprise. "A... loved one?" she repeated, her voice almost a whisper. "Someone more lovely than me, perhaps?" Her fingers clenched around the scepter, her knuckles turning white as her gaze bore into his.

Ty nodded, his expression softening, his voice unwavering. "Yes," he said simply. "There is no one as amazing or beautiful as her on Earth. And I will get back to her. I was hoping you might be able to help me. If the wish for winning the tournament is real, then maybe..."

The goddess's hand shook, her scepter trembling as she listened. "Human world? Earth?" she muttered, her eyes narrowing. "You mean the mortal realm? The angelic bastards are in charge of those endless worlds. How would you even know of it? How would you know of me? Or this place?"

Ty sighed, his shoulders sagging slightly. "It's a long story," he said, his voice tinged with exhaustion. "But can you help me or not?" He watched her carefully, trying to read her expression, to gauge her reaction.

Her blue eyes bore into his, a mixture of emotions playing across her face—confusion, frustration, something almost like envy. She stared at him for what felt like an eternity, her gaze searching his, as if trying to decide whether to believe him, whether to trust him.

And then, without a word, she raised her scepter, the cloud shifting beneath her feet. Ty felt the air around him change, a sudden pull, and before he could react, the world blurred, his vision shifting, the chamber disappearing in an instant.

Ty blinked, his head spinning, trying to regain his bearings. The cloud had shifted, his body no longer pinned against the cold metal doors. He was lying on something soft, something that smelled faintly of lavender and incense. He blinked again, his vision slowly clearing. A bed. He was lying on a bed, his arms and legs bound by what looked like shimmering strands of energy, glowing faintly in the dim light.

He tried to move, to struggle, but the bindings held firm, his muscles straining against them. Panic rose in his chest, his heart pounding in his ears as he looked around the room. It was lavish—tall columns, a high ceiling draped in flowing white fabric, the air filled with a soft, sweet fragrance. And there, standing beside the bed, was the goddess.

She looked different now, her demeanor calmer, her expression unreadable. Her blue hair cascaded over her shoulders, her white garment clinging to her form, accentuating her curves. She watched him, her gaze lingering on him as she spoke, her voice soft, almost teasing. "Maybe," she said, her lips curling into a faint smile, "I can make you spill the truth in another way." Her eyes glinted mischievously, her scepter resting against her hip as she stepped closer.
