"From Broke to Baller: Thanks, System?"

Chapter 33: Chapter 33 – Ripple Effects

The sun had barely risen, but Jin was already awake, staring at his screen.

> "Forecast Mode: Available (2/2 Uses Remaining)"

He hovered his finger above it for a second, then pulled back. Not yet. There would come a better time. Forecast Mode wasn't something to burn on curiosity — it was a weapon. A compass. He needed to be sure when he used it.

---

Later that day, Jin sat in the back row of his IT class, taking notes while half-listening to the professor's lecture on network protocols. His mind drifted to the market — the patterns he saw last night, the subtle movements other traders probably missed.

> "Trait Insight: 41% — Market Behavior Reading Improved"

He bit back a smile. It wasn't just experience anymore. His brain felt sharper, more attuned to price action and emotional shifts in market sentiment.

During lunch, he met with Calix, Mika, and Yssa as usual. But this time, something had changed.

"You hear the news?" Calix said. "There's another big dip in the crypto space. Like, massive. People are freaking out."

Mika raised a brow. "Didn't that happen just last week too?"

"Yeah, but this time it looks serious," Calix said. "Some dude on Twitter predicted it hours ago. His post blew up."

Yssa turned her phone around. Jin glanced at the screen—and froze for a second.

It was his chart. From his signal group. Someone had screenshotted it and posted it publicly with the caption: "Whoever this is… they saw it coming."

---

That night, Jin checked his trading server.

Membership requests: +318.

He stared, stunned. The exposure had leaked — even though he stayed anonymous, someone had gotten a hold of the chart he shared with his group and spread it. His silent corner of the internet was no longer quiet.

> "System Alert: Influence Level Increased – New Title Unlocked: Underground Analyst"

Bonus: Passive Group Growth +5% per week

Bonus: Option to create Signal Tier System (Basic, Mid, Elite)

Jin exhaled. So this was the next phase. Not just a personal system. Now he had reach. Power. Responsibility.

He wasn't just playing anymore.

---

That weekend, he spent time reorganizing the group. He added role-based access, automation, alerts. Most importantly, he created a "vetting" process to filter serious learners from gamblers.

Then the system gave him another surprise.

> "Special Event Detected: Acquaintance Party Approaching"

"System Notice: Optional Social Route – Chance to expand Jin's personal storyline."

He blinked.

"Seriously?"

He forgot the acquaintance party was next week — the event where first-year students from all departments gathered. Most people used it to build connections, maybe even flirt. Jin planned to skip it.

But now… the system wanted him to go?

> "Side Quest Available: 'New Bonds, New Risks'"

Objective: Attend the party. Engage in at least one significant interaction.

Reward: Trait Growth (Social), Chance to unlock Bond Skill.

He sighed and closed the window. The universe really didn't want him to hide anymore.

Sunday evening, Jin met his older cousin again — this time with food and another envelope.

His cousin looked up, eyes misty. "You really didn't have to. I… I got paid last week."

"I know," Jin said gently. "But it doesn't hurt to have extra. For emergencies."

"I'll pay you back someday."

"You already are," Jin replied. "Just keep going."

> "Trait Growth: Responsible (42%)"

"Bond: Family Deepened"

Jin walked home slowly after that. The sky was clear. Quiet. For the first time, he felt something stir beneath the numbers, charts, and system prompts.

He was building something real.

Back in his room, he stared at his reflection.

Not the same boy who clicked accept on that system weeks ago.

And yet, he still didn't know what the system really wanted from him in the end.

But maybe… he'd find out, one decision at a time.
