F.R.I.E.N.D.S: The New Guy

It was the middle of June 2024. The weather was scorching hot and with traffic blocked almost every day. There was a house plot that had 2 building, one in front and one in the back, the front one had 2 floors which were separate, the ground one had 3 bedroom with a bathroom attached to each one and a space for a kitchen also a living room, and to get to the upper floor you had to walk up the stairs that were outside, the upper one also had 3 bedroom with a bathroom attached to each one, it also had a small kitchen with a living room.

Then we come to the place behind it, it has the structure of a apartment flat that on the ground, it had 3 rooms of which 2 were bedroom with bathroom attached and the 3rd room which was used as the living room, and with a small kitchen. Now in the apartment flat structure, we go to the living room and we see a man of about 21 or 22 of age, the guy was about 5'8 or 5'9 and had medium length dark brown hair and had brown eyes, his skin tone was light brown, he had a skinny build, and was wearing a white shirt with light blue jeans, now we could see he was working on the laptop, closing in on him we can see him typing on the keyboard, writing of what we could think was the chapter of a novel.

MC(main character): " Ok then, That enough writing for now. Man, I'm tired and I think my fingers cramped. Now, what do I do? Ok , let's get something to eat, I'm hungry."

As he got up from the couch in the room he then walked out to the hallway and turned left. As he went to the kitchen to reach and open the fridge, he saw there was nothing in the fridge.

MC: " And there's nothing. And my mom isn't here to magically make something for me like that. Ok then, let's get some KFC."

So he closed the fridge and went to his room to put on his sneakers, he then got his bike keys and exited the house. He got on his bike and reved the engine and took off. About 15 minutes later, he reached the building and parked his bike near the open space. He got off and made his way inside. About half an hour later, he got the food and exits the building. He got to his bike, started it and made his way home.

On his way home, as he was riding towards an intersection, a truck was speeding towards the same intersection from the left side of the bike rider. It wasn't until they both crossed the intersection that they noticed each other. Then the truck and the bike collided at high speed, as the MC was yeeted of the bike and into the air then came crashing down, and his bike came underneath the truck and it was flung to its side, as it slided across the road.

MC: ' So this is how I go huh. A riding accident. Ya know, I don't even know what to say about this. Here I am on my own and drawing my few final breaths, I see there are a few people near me, I think I can almost hear someone talking to someone on a phone and I hope it's 911, but I don't know I can't hear the person correctly because my ears are ringing. I can't feel my left leg and my left arm is broken I think, I have a few broken ribs, and scratches all over me. I will miss them you know, my family and friends. I won't get to mess with my little brother or sister. Mom and Dad, I hope they will be fine without me, I wasn't the brightest or the most clever but I always tried my best and to be better, for them. I-I ...'

As the bystanders could see, the cars have stopped and people are coming out of their cars to see what in the hell was going on. As the people reach the intersection, they see that the truck is flipped on its side, and the driver is unconscious with a cut that is bleeding on his forehead and the bike was crushed under the truck.

The bike rider is a few meters away surrounded by a bunch of people. They can see him have erratic breathing as he loses the light in his eyes. As his breathing became less erratic and losing the shine that was in his eyes, and then when he took a breath, he stopped moving. He lost the light in his eyes as they become completely devoid of life, as he died right there on the spot.

Then we move to the sky away from his body and we keep moving away till we pass the atmosphere and then moving back in space then as we keep moving we then see the galaxy, the Milky Way. And we keep moving as other galaxies keep coming in our vision, we still keep moving back as we see the universe, and as we slow down moving back, we see other universes staked upon each other.

The beautiful view of the most majestic thing that no one can ever see. Then comes the view of a bridge stretching on both side infinitely surrounded by the universes, and as we close in on the bridge, we can see the figure of a body, the ethereal glow coming of it can be seen a few meters away. And then when we reach the figure his eyes snap open.

As he puts his hands on the floorboards of the bridge to lift his upper body off the floor, he then gets up on his feet and then looks around the infinite stretching space, his eyes become wide open, and as he makes his way to the edge of the bridge to the railing he puts his elbows on them and looks at the view of the universes that are stacked upon each other and surrounding the bridge, admiring the scene.

After looking at the view for some time, he then turns around and focuses his attention on the bridge he was standing on, as he looks both ways, he can see that the bridge keeps on going in both directions. And as he then looks to his right he can see something in the distance, looking to the other side as he see nothing in that direction, he the turns to the right and starts to walk in that direction.

MC: " Ok ok ok ok ok ok. This is crazy. What happened? All I remember is the accident and I just blacked out. So it looks like I am dead and I don't know how to feel about it, and I don't even know where I am right now. I mean I can see what looks like universes stacked upon each other, any idiot can see that and it's beautiful. Ok now, enough sightseeing, now let's figure out what to do. Ok, I see something to the right, I can't figure out what it is, and on the left side has nothing. Ok, I think I need to go right but first of all, HOW IS THIS BRIDGE STILL FINE!!! Ok you know what, I ain't figuring this out. It's above my pay grade not that I get paid or have a job. Let's just go."

As the MC walks and keeps walking and walking and walking for how long? He does not know and he can see that the thing he saw a while ago is some kind of sign board. As he gets closer and closer to the sign, what written on the sign shocks him.

As he stared at the sign with wide eyes and an open mouth, he does not know what to say. So after starting at the sign for a bunch of seconds, he then shook his head to get out of the trance. Then he makes his way past the sign and continues walking on forward. Walking, don't know how long he has been walking, time is certainly irrelevant between the universes but still I don't know how long he has been walking, he could have walked for minutes or hours or days or it could be weeks or months or he has been walking for years, he doesn't know.

It could have been decades but he doesn't feel tired or hungry or even sleepy, as he continued walking he has not seen another sign board or anything. He has kept on going forwards, never looking back.

MC: ' I have been walking for about, I don't know man, this bridge is way to long and just keeps on going.'

And he has been walking on, but to what nobody knows. As he is walking, he sees something in the distance, that he quite put a finger on, as the figure became a little bit closer but still far away, he could make the shape of a rectangle standing up. As something clicked in his mind, he thought the shape could be of a door. And as he noticed that, he started walking faster transitioning to a jog then to a full-blown sprint.

He kept on sprinting and sprinting until he reached the door. How long it took to reach the door, don't know, even I don't and I am the NARRATOR. Ok let's calm down, and go back to my job.

As he reached the door, he doesn't know what to do now, he thought about what to do because he doesn't know what is behind that door.

MC: ' Ok. The door is right there, and I should just open it, but why am I having a hard time. It's just a door, whatever let's do it.'

As his hand was slightly shaking, he reached for the door knob and turned it to the right, and opened the door, only to be assaulted by the bright light, when he adjusted to the light a little, he then walked through the door.

As his eyes adjusted to normal, he thee saw a figure of a man in a crisp white 3 piece suit, as his whole body excluded a bright light, even his face gave off the light. MC couldn't tell what the being looked like, and what did he want. The being walked over to the table and pulled up a chair in front of him.

R.O.B: " Hello child. How are you doing? "

MC: " You talking to me?"

R.O.B: " Yes child. Who else would I be talking to beside, you are the only one here."

MC: " Ok. So you gonna tell me where I am and what I am doing here? Although I kind of know what this is going to be about, I still need to hear it."

R.O.B: " This is exactly as you think. You, my child have died. And now we are giving you the choice to choose, either the afterlife or reincarnation."

MC: " Ok so that track. So, you are giving me the chance to choose from the options and they will be no consequences to my choice?"

R.O.B: " That right. So, now the ball's in your court, decide."

MC: " Just hold on a sec, I know that I died but how does that lead to this or the bridge. What is that bridge anyway? And what do you do here?"

R.O.B: " That bridge is called the ARCH. It is the pathway that connects people's soul to me after they die. I am a R.O.B, I'm sure you know what that means and it is my duty to give the souls that get lost from their universe, that find them themselves in the space that exists between the universes and give them the option to choose the afterlife or reincarnation."

MC: " Ok. I get it now, normal fan-fic stuff. Ok, so how does this work?"

R.O.B: " Splendid you catch on quick. Now, how this works is that you get to choose where you go and it can be anywhere like a book series, TV shows and movies, whatever floats your boat. And you get to take a few wishes with you, so you have something going for you."

MC: ' Ok. Now, I can't go to any place, because I don't want to play a hero or an anti-hero, because I will kill the worst of that world without hesitation. So let's go for peaceful, pick a normal world without superpowers, yea that'll work.' "Okay, I want to be reborn in the TV show F.R.I.E.N.D.S. And how many wishes do I get?"

R.O.B: " Most people would pick a world like TVD/TO, teen wolf, the boys, marvel, or DC, and people rarely pick DC or marvel because you know what kind of place that is, only crazy people choose to go there. But you do you kid, I just hardly see many souls choosing the peaceful life. And about the wishes, you get 3."

MC: " Ok then, I'll use my first wish, I want eidetic memory, which means that I can remember anything in perfect detail just by looking through it once. Then for my second wish, I want Bruce Wayne/Batman experience and memories without his emotions. And for my third and final wish, I want you to give me a peak human body."

R.O.B: " Ok now then, you need to choose your origins and your appearance."

MC: " Well for my origin, surprise me but I want to look the same, also I want to be named Mercer in this life."

R.O.B: " Ok, you are good to go. I am looking forward to your new journey, so make sure to make things entertaining from time to time as looking at people making a mess of the universes I've send them to. Ok then your all set, bon voyage my child." 

MC started to feel something, as he looked at his own body he could see that the ethereal glow and was beginning to fade away. And as he was fading away more and more until only his head was remaining, but that to started to fade.

MC: ' Ok, new life here I come!'

As he completely faded away, R.O.B was sitting on the chair, and as he got up he put the chair back in it's place and turned around and in a flash of light, he disappeared.

As we move to Elsewhere, into another universe and as we look further in past the space into the Milky way and further in we get close to the solar system, and now we go to earth, where we will see the new beginning of a new Friend.
