Chapter 35: Chapter 36: The Wrath of the Pirates
Rising Fury
The air around Wano seemed to crackle with a sinister energy as Thorfinn, his twin blades resting at his sides, turned to face the imminent threat of Big Mom. The wind howled around the island, blowing fiercely through the scattered ruins, as the Yonko's laughter echoed menacingly.
"You think you can defeat me?" Big Mom's voice boomed across the battlefield, her Soru Soru no Mi powers resonating with dread. "I've destroyed whole countries—do you really think this pitiful island will be any different?"
Thorfinn's eyes narrowed as he gripped the hilts of his swords, ready to face this ultimate challenge. He could feel his Conqueror's Haki surging through him, powering his every movement. His crew—Ace, Luffy, Yamato, and the rest of the Luna Pirates—stood firm beside him, their gazes unwavering.
"I'm not going to let you tear apart my world," Thorfinn declared, his voice calm but tinged with determination. "This island is mine to protect, and I'll fight until my last breath to make sure you don't lay a finger on it."
Big Mom sneered, raising her hand toward the heavens as an enormous bolt of lightning crackled in the sky, charging her next attack. "You don't stand a chance. I'll show you the true meaning of despair!"
As she sent the thunderous bolts of energy hurtling toward them, Thorfinn dove into action, his wings propelling him through the air. With a single, swift motion, he slashed through the oncoming storm, using his Conqueror's Haki to pierce through the attack with ease.
Ace, flames swirling around him, leaped into the fray, his fiery fist meeting Big Mom's energy head-on. "Thorfinn! I've got your back!"
Luffy, standing firm beside his older brother, grinned with newfound resolve. "We'll end this together, Thorfinn!"
The Clash of Titans
The ground trembled beneath their feet as the full force of the Luna Pirates and the Straw Hat Pirates collided with Big Mom's fury. Her monstrous attacks shattered the landscape, and her towering, ethereal hands swiped at the fighters, causing massive explosions that sent shockwaves throughout the island.
Yamato, wielding her club with incredible strength, charged forward to engage Big Mom, her body radiating fierce determination. "I'm going to protect this island for Oden! I won't let you destroy it!"
As Yamato fought fiercely, Luffy powered up once more, his body inflating and stretching as his Gear Fifth abilities surged forth. His rubbery form clashed with Big Mom's spiritual might, and each strike sent enormous shockwaves across the battlefield.
Thorfinn, his wings glowing brightly, hovered above the scene like a dark angel, cutting through the air with his swords. With each slash, he sent bolts of Conqueror's Haki arcing through the air, slicing apart the ethereal hands Big Mom summoned to attack.
"I won't let you take control of this battle, Big Mom!" Thorfinn shouted as his blades clashed against her soul-infused strikes, sending ripples of destruction throughout the island.
But despite their combined strength, Big Mom seemed invincible. Her laughter echoed through the chaos, a sound filled with madness and malevolent joy. "Foolish pirates! You dare defy me?"
Thorfinn's jaw clenched as he readied himself for the next attack, his Haki flaring as he pushed his body beyond its limits. "We'll see about that."
The Intervention of Old Rivals
The island seemed to shake as Kaido, the other Yonko, roared into battle, his presence far more overwhelming than ever before. With his Dragon Fruit powers fully unleashed, his massive form soared through the sky, sending massive blasts of energy crashing down toward the island. His monstrous voice boomed across the battlefield.
"You fools can't stop Big Mom or me! This is our island! You have no chance of winning!" Kaido bellowed, laughing as his Boro Breath tore through the landscape.
Thorkell, from the other side of the battlefield, couldn't help but laugh at the sight of Kaido's transformation. "So, we get to face two of the strongest pirates at the same time? This will be fun."
He turned toward his own crew, the Luna Pirates, and gave a sly smile. His first mate, Crocodile, had already started rampaging, his Suna Suna no Mi turning the battlefield into a hellish desert. Enel's thunderous power clashed with the very skies themselves, and Kid, still itching for a fight, unleashed his magnetic powers to tear apart the island beneath them.
Meanwhile, Thorkell's other crew members—X Drake, Apoo, Bonney, and Hawkins—clashed with the Straw Hats, the Luna Pirates, and Kaido's forces. The battlefield became a swirling, chaotic mess of powers colliding, with no clear victor in sight.
But it was clear to Thorfinn—the true battle hadn't even begun. The island was on the brink of collapse, and he needed to end this before everything around them was destroyed.
Thorfinn's Last Stand
As the battle raged on, Thorfinn's eyes narrowed. He knew that if they didn't put an end to this war soon, they would lose everything they fought for. He felt his Conqueror's Haki pulse through his veins as he gathered the strength to face Big Mom head-on.
"This ends now!" Thorfinn's voice rang out across the battlefield. His Haki flared with an explosive force, shaking the island to its core. The intensity of his presence sent shockwaves rippling through the air, knocking opponents to the ground and causing Big Mom's ethereal hands to falter for a moment.
With a single, devastating leap, Thorfinn soared toward Big Mom, his swords glowing with power. "Divine Departure!"
His twin swords slashed down, the combined force of his Conqueror's Haki and swordsmanship crashing into Big Mom's defenses. The shockwave from the clash was so immense that the island itself seemed to crack in two, with entire sections of the landscape shattering into oblivion.
Big Mom staggered back, her once-immense energy faltering. She glared at Thorfinn, her eyes filled with fury. "You can't defeat me!"
But Thorfinn wasn't backing down. His wings spread wide as he hovered above her, his swords raised high, ready to strike again.
"I can, Big Mom," Thorfinn said, his voice filled with the weight of all the battles he had fought. "And I will."
