Chapter 6: CH 6
"Ahhh, I can't control myself anymore!"
A swirling cloud in Nami's shape floated around the room, spinning in a panic.
"Alright, go practice flying in the room. Focus on turning your lower body into a cloud before you come out again."
Bai Yu grabbed her out of the air and sent her back to her room to train.
Meanwhile, Kaya continued experimenting with her powers. She cast her ability on a bitten apple, and a magical scene unfolded before her eyes.
The apple fully restored itself, as though time had rewound—but it wasn't time manipulation. Even a half-empty glass of juice filled itself back up to the brim.
"Brother Bai Yu, this ability is amazing! I can heal anyone in the future—even if they lose an arm or leg, I can restore it immediately!" Kaya trotted over to him, her face glowing with excitement despite her sweat.
Bai Yu chuckled. "Don't always worry about others. First, heal your own body. Remove all the illnesses and fatigue you've built up over the years."
He pointed to her sweat-drenched face. "This ability consumes physical strength. You'll need to train harder to make yourself stronger in the future."
Kaya nodded obediently. "I'll work on developing my ability to restore stamina, too."
"Smart idea," Bai Yu said with approval. He wasn't too concerned about Kaya becoming a fighter. With the Restoration Fruit, she was already free from the limits of injury or disease—making her invaluable in any situation.
Then an idea struck him.
"Wait," Bai Yu said, stopping Kaya. He pointed to the table. "Try restoring that."
Kaya blinked in confusion before her eyes widened in surprise.
"The Devil Fruit… peel?"
Bai Yu nodded toward the leftover peels from the Cloud-Cloud Fruit and the Restoration Fruit.
Could this actually work? Could the power of restoration bring back something as unique as a Devil Fruit?
"Alright, I'll try."
Kaya hesitated but extended her ability toward the discarded peel. A soft glow surrounded the remnants.
With a faint hum, light flickered…
And the Cloud-Cloud Fruit was restored!
Kaya gasped in excitement. Bai Yu immediately grabbed a fish from a nearby tank, peeled a piece of the fruit, and stuffed it into the fish's mouth.
"Let's test this."
With a quick squeeze, the fish transformed into a cloud and swirled upward.
"It works! It actually works!" Kaya exclaimed, jumping with joy.
At the same time, a scream echoed from Nami's room.
"What the heck?! My ability—it's gone!"
Kaya: "…"
Bai Yu: "…"
Fish: "???"
The result was obvious. The fruit could be restored, but the abilities it granted would be lost and transferred to the new eater.
Perhaps this limitation came from Kaya's current lack of mastery over her powers.
"Restore it again," Bai Yu instructed.
Kaya nodded and repeated the process, recreating the Cloud-Cloud Fruit. This time, Nami reluctantly took the fruit again.
"Waaaaah! It's so disgusting! You're all bullying me!" Nami cried as she choked down the fruit, tears streaming down her face.
"I'll never forget this horrible day—it's too awful!"
Bai Yu, watching her pout, muttered to himself: "If simple restoration allows abilities to regenerate, then with deeper development… conceptual restoration could replicate abilities entirely."
Kaya continued testing her Restoration Fruit's capabilities while Nami sulked in the corner.
Meanwhile, Bai Yu returned to his room, ready to take things to the next level.
"System, initiate fusion!"
Bai Yu took a deep breath, steadying himself.
"Ding! Crew members Nami and Kaya detected. Beginning fusion of their strengths!"
A glowing halo surrounded Bai Yu, pulsing rhythmically as the process began.
The fusion worked by selectively absorbing and integrating key aspects of his crew's abilities:
• Physique
• Spirit
• Willpower
• Potential
• Memory
• Abilities
• Talent
• Combat awareness
• Battle experience
The system only retained the most suitable and effective traits, discarding anything unnecessary. For memories, Bai Yu skimmed through them like watching a movie, taking only what mattered.
After an hour, Bai Yu opened his eyes. He murmured to himself:
"These are just two relatively weak women… If I had thousands of subordinates, even Im would kneel before me."
The fusion wasn't a one-time process, either. Bai Yu could continuously integrate any future growth in Nami and Kaya's abilities. And if they ever died, the fused traits would remain permanently his.

"Admiral Candidate?" Bai Yu whispered, surprised.
The teleportation and restoration abilities had drastically boosted his combat power. If either of these abilities developed conceptually, his strength would skyrocket even further.
But he reminded himself: combat power wasn't the same as destructive power. Much would depend on his opponent. Some abilities could counter his own, so he had to remain cautious.
To test his abilities, Bai Yu snapped his fingers.
"Restoration!"
In an instant, the slight damage to his finger from earlier healed completely.
"Even at this level… I can recover lost limbs or heal fatal injuries. This ability is ridiculously strong. If the fruit awakens…" Bai Yu's voice trailed off as he imagined the possibilities.
"What would conceptual restoration even look like?"
Still, Bai Yu knew abilities alone weren't enough.
"No matter how terrifying my powers are, strength still comes from my physique and Haki. Those are the true foundations."
Three days later…
"Brother Bai Yu, are we back already?" Kaya asked in surprise, recognizing the familiar houses of Syrup Village.
Nami blinked in shock. "One second we were floating at sea, and now we're back?!"
Bai Yu nodded. "I just tested my teleportation ability across a set range. Since I left a spatial coordinate here, it was easy to come back."
The results were promising: teleportation barely consumed any stamina over short distances. Bai Yu wondered if he could teleport all the way from the New World back to the East Blue in the future.
"Alright, let's head back."
Bai Yu reached out and embraced the two girls before teleporting back onto the Going Merry in an instant.
