Chapter 54: Chapter 52: Ollivander's Wand Shop...
After bidding farewell to the Black sisters, who seemed to be close to Eileen and were happy to meet her junior after a long time,
Eileen took over the job, freeing Leo, who had been overseeing the counter.
"Eileen, I am out to buy a wand for me and the girls."
When Leo became free, he informed Eileen he would be out for a while to buy a wand for himself and the others.
The girls had been holding back from buying their wands from the wand shop
because Leo had asked them not to buy a wand for the meantime until he fully established their family background using his information card,
to avoid any suspicion, especially during such a delicate time when wizarding Britain was on the verge of breaking into a full-blown wizarding war
due to the significant number of dark wizards joining the Death Eaters and wanting to disturb the peace of wizarding Britain.
So, Leo couldn't afford to be branded as a dark wizard right from the start because it would be annoying.
Now, since they had finally used the information cards to create their respective backgrounds, they could go and purchase wands without any suspicion.
Leaving the Cauldron & Charm, Leo and his girls passed through the busy Diagon Street, which was lively due to the hot season for new witches and wizards entering the wizarding world for the first time.
After a minute of walking, they arrived at a shop, a narrow, shabby building nestled among the bustling shops of Diagon Alley.
Its dusty windows displayed a single wand on a faded purple cushion, giving it an air of quiet mystery and elegance.
Above the door, a small, weathered sign read: Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands since 382 BC.
"Let's go in."
Looking at the legendary Ollivander's shop, Mavis couldn't control her joy and pulled Leo to move in.
Ollivanders Wand Shop...
Chuckle~
Creak~ Chime~
Looking at Mavis, who was now acting like a child before him, Leo couldn't help but let out a chuckle and followed her in.
When they opened the door, which seemed in very poor condition as though it might break and fall at any moment,
"Welcome... uh???"
"____"
Hearing the bell at the door ringing, the old man at the counter began to welcome the customer but stopped halfway, looking at the faces of those entering the shop.
"Welcome to Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands since 382 BC."
After a moment of silence, Ollivander quickly regained his composure and welcomed the customers in.
He was startled because he knew every wizarding family in wizarding Britain who came to buy a wand from him.
If it was a Muggle-born wizard or witch, they would be accompanied by a professor or at least be much younger than those who had entered.
No matter how deeply he thought, he couldn't remember their faces, which meant these people before him had never purchased a wand from him.
Upon entering the shop, they were greeted by Garrick Ollivander, who often studied them with his keen, piercing silver eyes.
His demeanour was polite but intense, as he seemed to assess the customer's magical potential with just a glance.
He may comment on their family history or reputation if relevant.
Ollivander had an excellent memory for the wands he sold and the witches or wizards who bought them.
"How can I help you, sir? Are you here to order a customized wand?"
With a curious gleam in his eyes and an excited smile on his face, Ollivander invited the new customers in.
"No... we are here to buy wands for us."
Hearing Ollivander's question, Mavis excitedly answered him.
"____"
"Ms., you need to understand that wands choose the wizard, not the other way around."
When Ollivander heard they were here to buy wands, he frowned and spoke his iconic words.
"You don't need to be concerned, Mr. Ollivander. I am Leo Morningstar, and these are my fiancées. We are here to buy our first wands because, according to our family tradition, we Morningstars are not allowed to buy our wands until we complete our studies. Until then, we are only allowed to use family wands."
Looking at Ollivander, who had started his lesson on teaching young wizards about his philosophy, Leo stepped in and gave the reasonable explanation he had prepared beforehand to convince Ollivander.
"Merlin's beard! You... are you a Morningstar?"
When Leo gave his explanation, Ollivander was stunned and exclaimed in shock, his mouth wide open.
"It's a great honour for my Ollivander family to have a Morningstar use a wand created by us."
With clear excitement in his voice, Ollivander bowed his head in respect.
He didn't further probe into the explanation to see whether what Leo said was true because his instincts were screaming that it was, for some reason.
First, Mavis was the one to get a wand since she was excited.
"Which is your wand arm?"
After measuring every detail of Mavis's body, Ollivander asked a few questions to understand the customers deeply,
so he could pick and sort out the unsuitable wands using his vast years of experience.
Even though Ollivander couldn't pinpoint the exact match through the personality of the witch or wizard,
the wands were picky in choosing the wizards who would own them, and personality was one of the important areas that determined the selection.
Mavis answered every question Ollivander asked her with a wide smile.
After gathering all the details he needed, Ollivander began to sort through the wands that might choose Mavis from the large pile neatly arranged on the shop's shelves.
Um~

While this process was ongoing, the others, who had read the Harry Potter books and also watched the movies on TV,
looked at the process with interest along with Leo.
After some thought, Ollivander walked deeper into the shop and started searching for wand boxes containing wands from the shelves.
While roaming and looking through the shelves, Ollivander selected a few wand boxes and placed them on the counter before Mavis.
After trying a few wands that turned out to be unsuitable for Mavis, she finally found a wand truly suited for her on her third try.
"Ah... it's a 12¾-inch wand made of willow wood, which is very flexible with unicorn hair as a core.
It is known for its loyalty to its first owner and tends to favour more ethical and noble users."
With a smile, Ollivander nodded his head and explained the wand that had chosen Mavis.
Next came Kejoro, Wakana, Kitsune, and Setsura, who each got their respective wands after several tries.
From Ollivander's reactions, it was clear he was truly content with the wands chosen for them.
If there is a picky suitor for a wand, it often means the respective witch or wizard might make a big name in the wizarding world.
For Kejoro, the wand was made of ash wood with a unicorn hair core. Its length was 12 inches, and it was slightly yielding.
For Wakana, the wand was made of elm wood with a unicorn hair core. Its length was 12 inches, and it was very rigid.
For Kitsune, the wand was made of yew wood with a dragon heartstring core. Its length was 11½ inches, and it was a little flexible with an uneven structure.
Lastly, for Setsura, the wand was made of blackthorn wood with a dragon heartstring core. Its length was 11 inches, and it was very hard with a sleek and smooth surface.
Finally, it was time for Leo to choose his destined wand.
As usual, Ollivander took Leo's full body measurements and asked about his dominant hand.
"I usually use my right hand."
With a smirk, Leo lifted his right hand, showing his dominant hand.
Nod~
With a nod and clear expectation on his face, Ollivander went to select suitable wands.
After rummaging through many wands, he brought out several boxes, excitedly murmuring to himself like a mad scientist.
After trying a few, one wand shattered like glass the moment Leo waved it.
"I knew it... How can it be easy to choose the right wand for someone from your family?"
With each wand destroyed, Ollivander became more excited and eagerly asked Leo to try others he had chosen.
"____"
Realizing there was something he had missed, Ollivander frowned and began to think deeply.
Snap~
"That's it... Please wait here for a moment."
After some serious thought, Ollivander's eyes widened in realization.
He snapped his fingers excitedly and hurriedly disappeared into the back of the shop as if he had just found the answer.
"This wand was created by my grandfather, who said it was his proudest creation but died with regret because he couldn't find a suitable owner for it."
Ollivander placed a metal box in front of Leo and opened it, his clear expectation visible on his face.
"It is made of Bloodwood with Phoenix Flame Feather as its core, has a length of 13¾ inches, and its flexibility is slightly yielding."
He took the wand from the box and passed it to Leo, who was looking at it curiously.
The wand had a deep crimson shaft, polished to a gleaming finish, with subtle golden streaks running along the grain, evoking the imagery of molten lava.
The handle was carved into the shape of a phoenix rising, with intricate details highlighting the wings and flames.
The wand tip glowed faintly when casting powerful spells, reflecting its fiery core.
Screech~
When Leo took it in his hand, he immediately felt a warm current pass through his body, and the tip of the wand glowed.
But instead of any spells, there was a loud screeching sound from it,
as if the phoenix inside was calling out to Leo happily, which made Ollivander's smile widen.
"____"
'Finally, there is someone worthy of this wand,'
were the only thoughts in Ollivander's mind.
When he was a child, his grandfather had once told him about his regret at not being able to find a suitable owner for his best creation.
But seeing this same wand finally find its owner made Ollivander reminisce about his sweet memories with his grandfather.
After a brief pause, Ollivander snapped out of his thoughts and began explaining to Leo about the wand that had finally chosen him.
The wand was made of Bloodwood, a rare, deep-red wood associated with vitality, passion, and courage.
Bloodwood wands were highly responsive to powerful magic and often bonded with wizards destined for greatness.
They are known to enhance spells with incredible precision and force.
Its core is a very rare Phoenix Flame Feather, an extraordinarily unique variant of the phoenix feather core.
This core carries the essence of a phoenix's rebirth, granting the wand unparalleled power for healing, destruction, and resilience.
The flame feather also allows the wand to regenerate if slightly damaged, mirroring the phoenix's immortality.
