Floating Island - Triple S Talent

Chapter 420: Eternal Kiss

Lein let out a quiet sigh, his eyes gazing at the command room with hope. "I hope this journey goes well," he murmured.

In the control room, the ship's captain received his signal. With practiced efficiency, he activated the main system, and the ship began moving toward the direction set by Aleron.

This was no ordinary spacecraft. Moving it required an immense amount of energy crystals and power essence. Not only that, but a truly skilled captain was also needed to maneuver it with precision. Aboard this warship, more than a thousand Earthlings worked, each with a crucial role in maintaining the ship's stability and operations.

The roar of the engines filled the room as the ship began to turn. Slowly, its rear emitted a bright blue glow, boiling energy ready to propel it through the void.

Then, in an instant, the ship shot forward at an incredible speed. The Divine Sky Realm, which had once stretched vast behind them, quickly shrank, vanishing into the distance.

"Goodbye…," Laras murmured, her voice barely audible over the rumbling voyage. Her eyes stared blankly behind them, realizing that this journey would be long. There were no plans to return anytime soon.

Meanwhile, Efan was transfixed by the darkness of the cosmos. The stars, which should have been far away, seemed to shift as if floating between dimensions. A mix of awe and curiosity filled his mind. He turned to Aleron, who sat calmly.

"Master Aleron," he called, "why aren't we using space corridors to search for the Heart of the Cosmos? Wouldn't that be faster?"

Aleron simply nodded slightly before replying, "Good question. First, opening a space corridor in the middle of the void is extremely difficult and requires an immense amount of energy. It is not an efficient method for searching."

He paused for a moment, allowing his words to sink in, then continued, "Second, randomly opening a space corridor is highly dangerous. Space turbulence can appear at any time, and if we fall into an unknown region of the void, even a Peak King cannot guarantee survival."

Those words left Laras and Efan silent. They were Grandmasters, while Aleron was a King. If even a King was unsure about handling space chaos, then there was no need to ask further—this was a danger beyond their comprehension.

For a moment, the atmosphere inside the ship grew heavier. No one spoke, each lost in their thoughts. This was no ordinary expedition. They were stepping into something unexplored—and the risks were far greater than they had ever imagined.

"Your task is to immediately enhance the quality of your elements and soul altars. With Master Lein's help, that shouldn't be a big problem."

Aleron smiled, his gaze briefly landing on Lein. There was a teasing tone in his voice, as if testing their leader's reaction.

Lein only returned the look with a blank expression. He knew Aleron deliberately mentioned his name in that tone to emphasize that he possessed abundant resources. Enjoy new stories from My Virtual Library Empire

"Hahaha… don't worry, Master Lein. I'm not that cruel," Aleron said casually. His usually serious face now bore a more relaxed expression. His demeanor was so different this time that Laras and Efan kept asking him questions, treating him as a peer they could joke around with.

"How about we play a game?" Aleron suddenly asked, his gaze sweeping across the room.

Lein, who had only been observing in silence, immediately widened his eyes. "A game?" he thought. "Has this guy lost his mind?"

"No need to be surprised, Master Lein," Tauriel said, trying to ease the tension. "This journey is going to be incredibly boring. If we're lucky, we might find the Heart of the Cosmos in half a year."

Lein gave a small nod, understanding Tauriel's point. He had actually hoped to teleport directly using his Divine Golden Sword ability, but it turned out to be impossible. Begrudgingly, he had to bring his physical body and leave the Divine Sky Realm for this journey.

"What kind of game, Master?" Efan asked, looking intrigued.

Aleron chuckled softly, then pulled out several objects from his spatial ring. "This game is called… Eternal Kiss."

Everyone immediately looked at him with confused expressions.

On the table now sat a brown earthen jug with strange carvings on its surface. With his right hand, Aleron opened its lid. From inside, a green frog with thick, bright red lips emerged. Its large eyes, with tiny irises, made it look both bizarre and… disgusting.

"Hello… are you awake? Time to work," Aleron said casually, then closed the jug again. After that, he took out a board with a slightly concave center and a pouch of red powder.

Tauriel, who had been watching intently, immediately furrowed her brows. Her expression darkened.

"Aleron… I'm certain Master Lein will throw you off this ship," she said flatly.

Lein and the others exchanged glances, still not understanding what was going on. They looked at Tauriel for an explanation.

Tauriel let out a long sigh before finally explaining, "This game is a ridiculous creation by this old man, designed to get revenge on those stronger than him."

There was an unmistakable irritation in her tone. From her expression, it was clear that she had been one of the victims of this game before.

Laras and Efan started feeling uneasy.

Lein, meanwhile, could only massage his temples. He could already guess where this game was heading, and for some reason, he had a bad feeling that this would be an unforgettable experience… in the worst way possible.

"Each person will present an item to punish whoever this frog chooses as its 'life partner'," Tauriel explained briefly. "And this powder, if it touches human skin, will cause prolonged irritation."

She stared sharply at Aleron, as if trying to uncover his hidden intentions. "And this old man has already prepared various sneaky punishments. I'm sure this powder was deliberately brought out to trick me again if I lose."

Aleron merely put on an innocent face, as if everything Tauriel said was complete nonsense. "What do you think, Master Lein? Want to join?" he asked casually.

"No," Lein answered firmly, without the slightest hesitation.

Aleron was not one to give up easily. He then turned to Laras and Efan. "What about you two? If you join, I'll give each of you three A-rank souls and a light-element stone suited to you."

The two fell silent for a moment, then looked toward Lein. However, Lein only shrugged, signaling that the decision was up to them.

"I'm in," Efan finally said.

Laras let out a sigh before following, "I'll join too, Master."

A wide grin immediately spread across Aleron's face. "Good! Everyone, join in!" he called out to the empty air.

Suddenly, three figures appeared behind him—two men and one woman.

Efan and Laras were startled, not having noticed their presence before. Meanwhile, Lein simply nodded slightly, having known about this all along.

"Let me introduce them—they are my personal disciples," Aleron said casually. His gaze lingered on the woman among them, Abigail—a human from Earth who had been taken in as his disciple.

Abigail smiled warmly at everyone, especially at Lein, before sitting down with her two companions in the empty seats provided.

Aleron turned back to Tauriel, his smile full of mockery. "What about you, Madam? Want to join? If not, you can just be a tree trunk in the corner over there."

A heavy punch landed on his shoulder, making Laras and Efan gasp. However, the attack had no effect on Aleron—his elemental energy easily absorbed the blow.

"Who said I was afraid? Let's make a bet!" Tauriel retorted challengingly.

Without hesitation, she took out a black rubber band and placed it on the table.

"Come on, you two join as well," she said to the empty air.

Two elf men emerged from the shadows, bowing respectfully before calmly taking their places at the table, ready to follow Tauriel's orders.

Aleron's pupils shrank as he saw the black rubber band. A bad premonition flashed through his mind. "I must not become the victim, no matter what," he thought.

"Alright, we now have nine participants. There are no rules except one: the stronger participants must lower their power to a certain level so they can be punished," Aleron announced.

"Whoever is kissed by this frog will become the bride, and everyone must present a congratulatory gift," he continued while raising the pouch of red powder above the table. "Please bring out your congratulatory gifts," he added, waiting for the others.

After everyone had presented their gifts, Aleron then explained the final rule.

"The last rule is that the bride may reject the congratulatory gift—on the condition that they give the gift-giver an item of their choosing," he said, his eyes narrowing.

Without further delay, Aleron placed the jug containing the frog on a spinning platform.

"I will spin this platform. Whoever the frog kisses will become the bride!" Aleron exclaimed excitedly, then began spinning the platform.

Immediately, the platform on the table spun at high speed before gradually slowing down...

When it stopped, the lid of the jug opened on its own. The green frog emerged from inside, its head poking out, its large eyes wobbling from dizziness.

Everyone held their breath this time—except for Lein, who simply stared at Aleron with a bored expression. "No wonder Madam Tauriel treats him that way," Lein thought to himself.

As the frog prepared to choose its bride...
