Flame and Crimson: OC x Ruby (DBXV x RWBY)

Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Burning the Candle; Elven Royalty?!

Hey everyone, I'm back with a new chapter! I'm days late happy December everyone! Hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving holiday. Anyways I wasn't planning on a new chapter but due to how the last one ended I just felt like a new one was in order. This chapter will most likely just cover episode 6 of Volume 2, so right before the dance episode. We'll see as it depends on how long I want this chapter to be. There will be a separate chapter for Baron and Flare coming up, just they can bond abit more outside of the main story.

Others I'm planning on doing separate chapters for are: Tarro x Sybyrh, Daikon x Weiss, Blake x Spoiler, Jaune x Pyrrha/Spoiler, and Baron x Flare.

Anyways that's all for the rambling, onto the story!

P.S.- I don't own Dbz/DBS/DB Xenoverse, Black Clover, or Rwby and their characters. I only own the oc's that appear in this story along with having permission from a friend to use his characters (tarro and Daikon). Those belong to their respective creators!

Insert: Naruto Opening 8- Re:member

Visuals: Main Cast of this story (you should know who they are lol) along with The dark Elven rulers, Ozpin and the other teachers. Replace the sequence in the video with Mercury having to hold his head in pain as the scenery cracks and shatters before bring pulled to the surface by Khanna. Ending sequence ends with Ruby walking and Joining Odyn as they saunter towards their friends.

Chapter 13- Extracurricular; Elven Royalty?!

The opening ends as the screen comes up where last chapter left off with the Elves having to explain the interaction with Hyatan to their human friends.

"So.. are you going to tell us what that was or what?," Weiss asked.

Daikon spoke up immediately after this to give their friends some time to process before explaining.

"They'll explain when they're ready to. Just give them a minute, woman. This... I don't imagine is very easy for them to talk about.,"Daikon said.

Weiss glared at him and was about to retort, but couldn't say anything because she realized that he was right.

Odyn sighed before speaking, he knew it'd come to this eventually.

"No, it's... alright Daikon. We had planned to tell you guys eventually, the situation was just never the right one to tell you all.," Odyn said sighing.

Roy then spoke up.

"The person you saw was as you could tell, the Queen of the Dark Elves, Hyatan Albanar. She's the other Sovereign of The Dark Elves.," Roy explained.

The teens widened their eyes at this but then continued to listen as Elves further elaborated on the interaction between them and the Dark Elf Queen. This time, Baron spoke up to explain things.

"In case you all are wondering if there's a connection between us and her majesty, There is.,"Baron said.

As if she were reading their thoughts, Khanna stepped forward as she then explained the connection between the elves present and the elven queen who just left. She sighed as she spoke.

"Surely at least a few of you know by now who Odyn and Roy really are, right?," Khanna asked.

Blake spoke up this time and voiced her opinion.

"I... did have my doubts at first, but after seeing the interaction between the queen and those two...," Blake said referring to Odyn and Roy.

"Yeah, you weren't wrong Blake. Odyn and Roy are exactly who you think they are.,"Khanna said.

Ruby voiced her own concern then, adding to the surprise of everyone when the Elves true identities were revealed.

"So... does the Queen calling Odyn her son have something to do with this?," Ruby asked curious.

Weiss, Yang, and Blake all turned towards Ruby when she said that.

"Wait Rubes, what did you say she called Odyn?," Yang asked surprised.

"Did she say what i thought she did?," Weiss asked.

"You're positive she called Odyn that?," Blake asked.

Ruby nodded before the girls looked to Khanna once more for an explanation.

"Yeah, Ruby's right because that's exactly who Odyn and Roy are.," Khanna said.

"But that would mean Odyn and Roy are-,"Ruby started before Khanna finished her thought.

"Dark Elven Royalty. And yeah, that's exactly who they really are. ,"Khanna finished explaining.

"So.. that'd mean their Dad who saved me was-," Ruby trailed off.

"Their father is THE KING?! ," Weiss shouted in surprise.

"That's about the size of it, yeah.,"Hailfire said speaking up now.

This completely shocked the girls. To think all this time, two of their friends were secretly dark elven princes.

"What's wrong, cat got your tongue?," Khanna asked.

"N-No this is uh...," Ruby satarted.

"This... is just going to.. take awhile to proccess.," Yang said.

"S-should we call you..," Weiss started but was stopped by Odyn holding up his hand.

"Don't, please. It'd feel really... weird having you all being formal with us after all this time.," Odyn said.

Roy nodded.

"Yeah.. just refer to us the same way as you did before. If you start to treat us differently all of a sudden, there are those in this school that would become suspsicious of us. They may even start treating us even worse than before.," Roy said.

The girls nodded, that was a reasonable request. Mercury spoke up as he realized he needed to get back before his "teammates" got suspicious of him being gone for so long.

"Not to interrupt, but I should really be getting back now.," Mercury said.

Khanna turned towards him and walked over to his side.

"Thanks for helping us out today, Merc. I'll walk you back.,"Khanna said.

He nodded.

As they two of them walked past Team Rwby, Khanna whispered something only Yang was able to hear.

"If you have time, there's... something I need to talk to you, Yang, about later. Is.. that alright with you?," Khanna whispered to her.

Yang nodded.

"That should be fine Khanna, I've been meaning to ask you some questions too.," Yang whispered back.

"Great. Make sure you come alone and that you're not followed. It's pretty important that what I have to tell you remains a secret from the others.," Khanna whispered before tapping the blonde's shoulder and walking off with Mercury.

Ruby turned to her sister with a puzzled look.

"What was that about, Yang?," Ruby asked.

Yang just smiled at her sister.

"Nothin' to worry about Rubes, Khanna said she just wanted to talk to me privately about something later is all. It sure did sound important, whatever it is.," Yang said.

The girls turned to leave, Ruby looking back in the direction Khanna went off in. She shrugged, sure that whatever her sister and Khanna had to talk about was something best left between them. Daikon eventually left along with Baron, whom Flare made sure she said goodbye to. She looked to Odyn who waved to her, he had to go as well.

"I guess i'll see you in the morning for classes.," Ruby said.

The dark teen nodded and extended his fist towards her, Ruby reciprocating the gesture as they bumped fists.

"Yeah. See you for classes tomorrow, little rose.,"Odyn replied with a smile.

"Same to you, Odyn.," Ruby replied also smiling.

The two teams then went their separate ways and back towards their dorms for the night. They'd been a little worn out by all the craziness their little side mission provided that day. Blake looked at Yang who walked past her with a grin on her face.

"Something the matter?," Blake asked.

"Nah. I think Rubes might be starting to realize something though.,"Yang said.

She raised an eyebrow confused.

"Like what?," Blake asked.

"Oh nothing... just I have a feeling she may be wavering about what a certain Dark Elf with blue hair really means to her.,"Yang said as she walked ahead.

Blake saw the interaction between the two aforementioned teens and smiled. Now she understood what Yang meant. She continued on and followed her teammates as they made their way back to the dorm rooms.

Meanwhile...

Mercury and Khanna finally stopped walking as they reached the part of Vale they met in earlier that evening. This was where the two would part ways with each other.. for now at least.

"Well.. this is where I'll have to leave from for now.," Mercury said.

"Yeah. Take care Merc.,"Khanna said.

The boy went to turn around to leave only to have Khanna call after him again.

"Wait, Merc. Before you go...,"Khanna said gaining the boy's attention.

"Yeah, what is it Khanna?,"Mercury asked.

Khanna fidgeted as her cheeks gained a tinge of pink color to them. She folded her hands behind her back briefly before playing with her hair as she spoke.

"Y-You uh... w-wouldn't happen to have a partner for the dance this weekend, would you?," She asked slightly blushing as she spoke.

Mercury gained a thoughtful expression as he contemplated the question before answering it.

"Hmm... No? At least, I don't believe so. No one has actually asked me yet.,"Mercury responded.

"Oh, I-Is that so? W-well then, that certainly makes what I'm about to say easier then.," Khanna said still blushing.

Mercury could tell that the blush Khanna had been fighting had now grown into a deep scarlet color as it fully adorned her face now.

She still fidgeted as she spoke, a sign that she was nervous.

"Mercury Black, w-would you like to g-go to the Beacon Dance with m-me this weekend?,"Khanna asked with the blush on her face now in full force as she stammered.

Mercury could feel himself blushing now, he... wasn't expecting that. His decision was a rather easy one to make. Khanna was a very beautiful girl, one of the prettiest he'd seen at the school so far. Of course, he'd go with her. But a question then formed in the back of his mind. Why hadn't anyone else asked her? And why was he the one she asked? He shook his head to focus on Khanna, he could think about the reasons later.

"O-Of course. I'd be honored to go with you Khanna, If you'll have me that is.,"He replied.

Khanna offered him a small smile as she was still blushing before walking up to and hugging him. She was glad she was able to get that off of her chest and even pleasantly surprised that Mercury had accepted her invitation. If Khanna was being completely honest, she was internally a nervous wreck over whether Mercury would agree to go with her to the Beacon Dance or not.

The Dark Elven Maiden pulled away from the boy after the hug, realizing that he really did need to go. She then folded her hands behind her back as she spoke again.

"So then, I'll see you tomorrow, then Merc?," Khanna asked.

He nodded.

"Yeah. I'll see you tomorrow.," Mercury said as he quickly scampered off.

Khanna turned and walked back towards her team's dorm room soon after, content for the time being.

The next morning...

Pyrrha is seen gearing up in a locker room. As she walks out of the locker room, the scene then cuts to her having a sparring match with team CRDL. Glynda approaches from behind Cardin who clutches his ribs after the match with Pyrrha.

"And that's the match.," Glynda announced.

Still clutching his ribs, Cardin spoke up briefly.

"Lucky shot.," Cardin said defiantly just before collapsing onto the ground.

"Well done, Miss Nikos. You should have no problem qualifying for the tournament.,"Glynda told her.

Pyrrha smiled at Glynda as she spoke.

"Thank you, Professor.," Pyrrha said.

Glynda is seen still seen to be tapping her scroll as she scans the room while speaking.

"Alright, now I know that's a tough act to follow, but we have time for one more sparring match.," Glynda said before her eyes landed on Blake who slammed her book shut at the mentioning of her name.

"Any volunteers? Ms. Belladonna? You've been rather docile for the past few classes. Why don't you-," Glynda began before seeing another hand was raised.

This hand belonged to Mercury. More than likely, he was doing this to avoid suspicion from his current teammates. He'd play along with them, up to a point.

" I'll do it.," Mercury said.

Glynda looks at him, abit puzzled but then recomposes herself.

"Mercury, is it? Very well, let's find you an opponent.," Glynda said searching for a willing student.

"Actually... I want to fight... (looks at Odyn) him.," Mercury said.

Odyn eyed him for a moment before he realized what the boy was doing, this was just an act to fool everyone.

"Sorry about this, think you could play along for abit?," Mercury asked.

Odyn nodded.

"Sure Mercury, just remember you owe me for keeping your real intentions a secret.," Odyn said silently.

Pyrrha went to say something, but was stopped by Khanna raising a hand.

"Well...alright, if that's what you want. Is there any issues with this, Mr. Albanar?," Glynda asked.

Odyn was ready to step down to fight him when Pyrrha spoke up again, insisting on fighting Mercury.

"Professor Glynda, it's alright. I'll fight Mercury so my brother doesn't need to. I'd rather see what this boy can do anyways.," Pyrrha said.

The while class other than the Elves looked at her puzzled at the redhead's words. That... wasn't like Pyrrha at all to say such things, much less challenge someone to a fight.

Glynda cleared her throat again and looked towards the two who were about to fight.

"Is this alright with you, Mr. Albanar, Mercury?," The bespectacled blonde asked.

Odyn just waved it off as he responded.

"If she really wants to fight this kid, it's fine with me. I have no qualms about it.," Odyn calmly said.

"If that's her decision, then alright.," Mercury said.

"Very well then. Mr. Black would you go and get your gear on then?," Glynda requested.

"Sure.," Mercury said.

"I do apologize for that, Ms. Nikos.," Gkynda said.

"No, no, it's fine. I'm the one who requested this after all.," Pyrrha said.

Pyrrha then looked down at her hand in confused thought.

"Why... or rather... what made me say those things? That... was odd. It was like I had no control over my own words. What's going on?," Pyrrha internally thought to herself.

She'd been feeling... not quite herself recently. Her teammates had told her that she had a few moments lately when it was just them, that she seemed like a different person. It was almost as if some other person had taken over her body at points recently. And... those dreams she'd been having of late... what did they mean? It was as if those dreams were... someone else's memories. But... who's were they?

Shaking her head and refocusing, Pyrrha decided she could worry about that later. Right now, she had a match to focus on. The Elves eyed the redhead, they had a pretty good idea of what was going on. Even if Pyrrha didn't know herself, the Elves in the room all had a vague idea of what was happening to the girl.

The Dark elves in the room had all decided they would let Pyrrha know later about what was happening to her. They wouldn't tell her now, that'd be a little much for her to take in at the moment. It wasn't the right time anyways.

Mercury struts into the arena, visibly sizing up Pyrrha. Their spar begins when he makes the first attack and is knocked down. Recovering quickly, he deflects an attack and begins trading blows with Pyrrha until she knocks him back with her shield.

Ruby turns towards Emerald.

"Hey, your friend's doing pretty good.," Ruby said.

Emerald gives the girl a fake smile before rolling her eyes as Ruby turns her back towards her.

Mercury unleashes a series of powerful strikes. Pyrrha allows his kick to slam against her forearm before Mercury manages to disarm her, a kick impaling her blade into the ground. Pyrrha uses her Semblance to redirect the direction of Mercury's next kick. As she charges him with her shield, he shoots off of it and turns his back to her. Pyrrha tries to rush him again only for Mercury to speak up again, stopping her from attacking him.

"I forfeit.," Merciry said non chalantly.

Pyrrha nearly trips as she stops beside the teen.

"You.. don't want to even try?," Pyrrha asked puzzled.

Mercury shrugged. He didn't like lying, but he had to in order to fool Emerald and Cinder.

"What's the point? You're a world-renowned fighter. We're obviously leagues apart.," Mercury said shrugging.

"In that case... Pyrrha Nikos is the victor of the match... again.," Glynda announced as the display on the screen int the classroom changed indicating the end of the match.

Emerald smirks. Mercury sneers smugly. Pyrrha has a annoyed and disappointed look on her face, and places her left hand on her hip. The Aura displays for Pyrrha and Mercury are shown as Mercury's is changed from green to red indicating his loss.

Mercury had Emerald fooled, she didn't suspect a thing so far. He kept the charade up so Emerald wouldn't figure out what his true intentions were.

"Next time, you may want to think a little harder before choosing an opponent.," Glynda warned him.

Mercury nodded in response.

"I'll be sure to do that, professor.," Mercury replied.

An alarm sounds which jolts Blake who had nodded off.

"That is all for today. And remember, the dance is this weekend. But you all have your first mission on Monday. I will not accept any excuses.," Glynda said as she dismissed the students.

Off to the side, Khanna puts her hand onto Pyrrha's shoulder as she whispers to her.

"Would you mind coming with me for a few moments, Pyrrha?," Khanna asked.

"Certainly. But whatever for?," Pyrrha asked confused.

"We need to talk. And besides... you want to know about what's been happening to you lately, don't you?," Khanna replied in question.

" Of course I want to know. You're saying you can tell me what's going with me recently?," Pyrrha asked in concern.

Khanna nodded.

"Yeah, I can tell you. But you have to promise to tell no one else what I'm going to tell you.," Khanna said.

Pyrrha nodded as the two walked off together.

Team JNPR was puzzled at first until the Elves explained the situation.

"She just needs to talk to Pyrrha about something for abit. We can wait for them nearby.," Hailfire said.

Team JNPR and Rwby left the classroom with the the Elves and the rest of Khanna's and Odyn's teams while they waited for their two friends to return.

As everyone leaves, Mercury stops beside Emerald.

"Learning is so much fun.," Mercury said mockingly.

Outside the classroom...

Outside, SSSN are standing at the entrance as Team RWBY walks past. Sun notices Blake and runs after her.

"Hey, Blake!," Sun calls after her as he grabs her by the shoulder.

"You.. uhh... doing okay?," Sun asked.

Blake is seen shutting the book she was reading as she answers Sun.

"I'm fine.," She said curtly.

"So I hear there's this dance going on this weekend... ah, sounds pretty lame, but you and me, I'm thinking, not as lame, huh?," Sun asked.

Blake gave him an irritated look at what he was suggesting. She didn't have time for silly dances!

"What?," She asked getting angry.

"The dance! This weekend! You wanna go, or what?," Sun asked her.

"I don't have time for a stupid dance. I thought you of all people would get that.," Blake said irritated as she walked away.

Sun then sank from his rejection.

Roy approached him and put a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't take it too hard, Sun. She'll come around eventually, she has to.," Roy said encouraging the blonde hair and tailed monkey faunus.

Ruby then looked to the other teens.

"Pyrrha and Khanna sure are taking a long time.," Ruby said.

"These things take time, Ruby. Despite my cousin's rather... aggressive personality, she pretty perceptive. She could tell that something was bothering Pyrrha, even without her saying anything.," Odyn said.

"I see... what about Blake then?," Ruby asked.

" You can relax about that. I'll talk to her.," Yang said.

"N-Not to interrupt but.. are you sure that's a good idea, Yang?," Flare asked.

"We know you're concerned Flare, but don't worry. We can trust Yang, right?," Baron suggested.

"I-I suppose you're right...," Flare said in response.

The teens then walked after Balke, seeing if Yang and her team could convince Blake to just take it easy and take a break.

With Khanna and Pyrrha

Pyrrha decided to speak up once they reached their destination, it wasn't all that far from where the others were.

"What is it you wanted to speak to me about?," Pyrrha asked.

Khanna turned and faced her, crossing her arms as she paced before stopping.

"I'll just cut to the chase... Something has been bothering you recently, hasn't it?," Khanna asked.

Pyrrha briefly widened her eyes before recomposing herself.

"Well, yes actually. You see...," Pyrrha said as she started to explain before Khanna interrupted her.

"Let me guess, you feel like you haven't been yourself lately and are unable to control your actions or words at times. It isn't as though you're not trying to be yourself, but it seems to come and go randomly at theost inconvenient of times. Or.. it happens when your life is in danger, as if another person has taken control of your body. Is that correct, or did I miss something?," Khanna replied finishing Pyrrha's thought.

This caused Pyrrha's eyes to widen in surprise yet again. How did this girl guess what was bothering her to the letter?

"How did you- no, how could you possibly know that?," Pyrrha asked in surprise.

Khanna smirked before responding.

"I'm a dark elf, remember? We can pick up on these things alot quicker than humans and faunus can.," Khanna answered.

"I see... it would seem I've forgotten what your kind is capable of. What's going on with me anyways?," Pyrrha asked.

"I can tell you, but.. you have to promise not to speak of what I tell you to anyone. What I tell you here, has to remain a secret until we deem it necessary to tell others.," Khanna told her.

Pyrrha nodded.

"I promise.," Pyrrha said.

"Very well then..," Khanna said as she began to explain what was happening to Pyrrha recently.

She continued.

"The reason you are so out of sorts lately is due to the presence of the other soul inside of you. It.. or rather... "she" has become conscious now. Your odd behavior as you put was most likely a result of her becoming conscious and influencing your decisions. She has done so in order to protect you when your life is in danger.," Khanna explained.

Pyrrha was surprised but also confused about this. She raised a very confused eyebrow, giving her face a rather puzzled expression.

"She? What do you mean by that?," Pyrrha asked puzzled.

"Well.. the energy I'm sensing right now is very powerful Elven magic. Most likely a result of a spell our king cast.," Khanna said.

"Hold on. Did you say Elven Magic?," Pyrrha asked just to be sure.

Khanna nodded.

"Yes, I did.," Khanna replied.

Pyrrha looked at her hands as she spoke.

"So... what you're saying is that the other soul inside of is-," Pyrrha started to ask before Khanna very quickly answered her question.

"A dark elf? Yes, Pyrrha. It would seem the soul of a dark elf has latched onto you as her vessel. Though... I can't tell who this dark elf is that's inside of your person at the moment. That's a conversation you will have to have with her yourself.," Khanna told her.

"Very well then, thank you Khanna. At least I somewhat know what it is I'm dealing with here.," Pyrrha said.

Khanna smiled at the girl.

"You're welcome. Now, we should head towards the others I think. They'll be abit worried if we don't hurry back.," Khanna said.

"Yeah, you're right. Thanks Khanna, that... honestly took a little bit of a load off my mind. Now I can think of how to best approach what I do going forward.," Pyrrha said.

Khanna smiled at her and nodded.

"No problem Pyrrha. After all, that's what friends are for right?," Khanna replied.

Back with the others...

The other teens were seen briefly chatting as Khanna and Pyrrha were seen walking up to them about 10 minutes later.

"Oh, you're back!," Ruby said.

Pyrrha smiled at the group and apologized to her teammates.

"Sorry about that everyone. I didn't mean to take so long. I just had.. alot of things on my mind I needed to tell Khanna.," Pyrrha said in apology.

"Don't worry about it. Anyways, we're going to head out for a little while. We'll catch up to you guys later, okay?," Jaune said as he and his team began to walk away.

Odyn looked to Khanna.

"Everything all settled?," He asked her.

"Mostly. How she comes to terms with it is up to her though.," Khanna replied.

Odyn shrugged.

"Fair enough, I suppose.," He said.

The teens begin to walk as team rwby goes after Blake, attempting to convince her to go to the Beacon Dance. Before they knew it, they were inside their dorm room with OHRF and KDBNB standing just outside of the doorway.

"Please Blake, we want you to go to the Dance.," Ruby said trying to reason with her faunus teammate.

"That's ridiculous.," Blake replied flatly.

Yang then had a rather concerned look on her face as she spoke.

"Blake, we're worried about you. This investigation is starting to mess with your head.," Yang said chiming into the conversation.

Weiss is counting the facts on her fingers as she speaks.

"You can't sleep, you hardly eat, and to be honest, your grades have been suffering.," Weiss said.

Just before Blake said anything else, Odyn chimed in after being silent for most of the conversation.

"They all have solid points, Blake. You need to slow down. If you run yourself into the ground doing this, you'll be no good to anyone when the time actually comes to take action. You'll be too exhausted.," Odyn said.

"You'd probably say: "People's lives are at stake! You think I care about grades?" Or did I miss anything?," Roy said speaking up.

Blake gritted her teeth in frustration, she knew they were right. It was just frustrating to admit she was perhaps harming herself more than she was finding answers as to what Torchwick and the White Fang were up to.

"I know it's frustrating Blake, we'll find out what 'ol bowler hat is up to. But more than anything, you need to rest.," Hailfire said.

"Hail's right, thanks to you and Sun we know they're operating somewhere outside southeast Vale.," Ruby said.

"And, the Schnee company records singled out Vale as the primary target for Dust robberies over the last few months.," Weiss added.

"Not to mention their missing military tech too.," Flare added.

"But there are still question left unanswered!," Blake argued.

Finally, Khanna spoke up.

"Blake, listen. You won't be able to solve anything unless you can keep your eyes open.," Khanna said.

"We're just asking you to take it easy and rest for one day..then we can work on finding out what this torchwick guy is planning tomorrow.," Note said chiming in.

"Besides, it will be fun. Yang and I will make certain of it.," Weiss said.

"Yeah! We're planning the whole event!," Yang said pumping her fist causing the bed to bounce Blake up and down briefly.

"Excuse me?," Blake said irritated.

"Team CFVY's away mission lasted longer than expected.," Weiss said.

"So, Weiss and I were asked to pick up where they left off. And now we can make sure you have the perfect night.," Yang said.

"So what do you think, Blake?," Ruby asked.

Blake stood there for a moment before responding, obviously not pleased with what her friends her suggesting for her to do.

"I think.. this is a colossal waste of time. If you'll excuse me, I'll be in the library.," Blake said before walking away.

The Elves sighed in disapproval, while Ruby looked really worried.

"Great, now what?," Yang said frustrated.

"Can't say we didn't try to stop her.," Khanna said.

"Yeah.. but I think I may know someone who can get through to that thick skull of our faunus friend.," Odyn said.

"She can't keep going like this.," Weiss said in concern.

"I agree with the princess here. So, who's this person you have in mind?," Daikon asked.

"I'm kind of curious myself about this.," Note said.

Roy nodded before he spoke.

"He's a childhood friend of me and Odyn's. Blake would be more willing to listen to him since he's been through something similar to what she's going through right now.," Roy said.

"I'll just contact him. He should prove to be a source of wisdom for Blake hopefully.," Odyn said.

Daikon heard knocking at the door and recognized the footsteps. He smirked and turned to Weiss.

"Hey, Princess I think you have a visitor at the door.," Daikon said.

Raising an eyebrow, she walked over and opened the door.Jaune appears at the door with a guitar.

"Weiss!," He sings.

Weiss then slammed the door in his face.

"Oh, come on, open the door! I promise not to sing.," Jaune said.

Daikon can be seen snickering at the display, much to the schnee's ire.

"💢 not a word, you!," Weiss shot back.

She rolled her eyes and opened the door again with a dry look on her face.

" I lied! Weiss Schu-nee, will you accompany me, to the dance on... Sunday!?," Jaune sang again as he strummed the strings of the guitar as he sang more.

"Are you done?," Weiss asked dryly.

"Yes?," Jaube replied shrugging.

"No.," She says as she slams the door in his face again.

She turns around, only to see the others staring at him.

"What?," She asked.

"Aaaaannnddd..that's exactly why they call you the ice queen.," Yang said dryly.

Ruby finally collapses, prompting Odyn to check on her.

"Are you okay, Ruby?," He asked.

Ruby nodded.

"Y-yeah I'm fine. T-Thanks for asking, Odyn.," Ruby replied.

"All my life, boys have only cared about the perks of my last name. Besides, I already have a date in mind.," Weiss said.

Daikon snorted.

"💢 is what I said that funny, jerk?," She asked angered.

"Yeah, it actually was.," Daikon replied before returning to his own business.

"Well date or no date, it won't even matter if Blake isn't going to the Dance.," Ruby said.

"Not to worry Rubes, she's going. I'll make sure she goes.," Yang said.

The others were then trying to brainstorm for ideas on how to convince Blake to attend the Beacon Dance.

With Jaune and Pyrrha...

That night, Pyrrha and Jaune are sparring at their spot on the roof. Jaune appears to gain the upper hand until Pyrrha sweeps his legs out from under him.

"Nicely done, Jaune. You've improved in yiur swordplay considerably.," Pyrrha said laughing.

She helps Jaune to his feet.

"Thanks. I couldn't have done it without you, Pyrrha.," Jaune replied while brushing himself off.

Pyrrha puts her hands on her hips as she speaks again.

"So, are you ready to move on to Aura?," She asked.

Jaune hesitated at the mention of Aura, his mind being elsewhere.

"You know, I was actually thinking maybe we could skip Aura for tonight. Just go for a run instead.," He said.

"Come on, I know you get frustrated, but you must keep trying. I'm sure you'll discover your Semblance any day now.," Pyrrha said encouraging the blonde haired boy who she was secretly developing feelings for.

"No no, it's not that Pyrrha. It's just.. (sighs) it's dumb.," Jaune said attempting to explain what was bothering him.

Pyrrha approached Jaune, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"What is it? You know that you can always tell me, Jaune.," Pyrrha said.

"It's... Weiss.," Jaune admitted.

Pyrrha's face noticeable fell at this, she quickly regained her composure so Jaune wouldn't notice her disappointed look.

"Oh, I see... What about her?," Pyrrha asked.

"I asked her to gonto the dance with me and she shot me down immediately. (He chuckles half heartedly) Big surprise, right?," Jaune said.

"Well Jaune I believe there's a saying that goes: "There's still plenty of fish in the sea" or something to that effect.," Pyrrha told him.

Jaune looked to Pyrrha.

"That's pretty easy for you to say, I bet you have guys clamoring to ask you out to the dance.," Jaune said.

Pyrrha's face faltered slightly as she looked at the ground while chuckling half heartedly.

"You'd... be surprised Jaune.," Pyrrha said a little disappointed.

Jaune dismissed the thought, thinking there was no way Pyrrha wouldn't be asked to the Dance by someone.

"Oh please. If you don't get a date to the dance, I'll wear a dress. Heh.," Jaune said before walking away.

Pyrrha just sighed sadly. She was rather upset now and a but depressed as she walked off on her own. As she walked, she heard a voice before realizing that it was inside if her head.

"He doesn't have a clue, does he?," The voice said.

Pyrrha looked around for the owner of the voice before she realized it was was inside of her head.

"No.. Who.. are you?," Pyrrha asked.

The voice chuckled before speaking again.

"What do you mean by that? I've been with you this entire time. But... I suppose I did only just recently become conscious. To answer your question Pyrrha, I'm the other soul that exists inside of you.," The voice said.

"I... see. So you're the dark elf who's residing inside of me..," Pyrrha said in realization.

"Glad to see you finally noticed. Do you want to talk about what happened between you and that boy you like back there?," The voice asked.

Pyrrha sighed.

"I'd... appreciate that now, thanks.," Pyrrha replied.

Elsewhere inside the Beacon dorms for visiting students....

"And finally, Pyrrha Nikos.," Emerald said.

The scene shifts to Cinder in her dorm room, sewing a black dress as she sits on one of the beds. Emerald is sitting on the floor while looking at her Scroll, and Mercury is lying on the ground and reading a comic book.

"Ah, The invincible girl.," Cinder remarked.

"She smart about using her power, but I wouldn't go so far as to say she's invincible.," Mercury added.

"Oh? Do tell us then.," Cinder said.

He would tell them, but he'd be vague about it. He didn't trust these two right now.

"Her Semblance is Polarity. But you'd never know just by watching.,"Emerald said as they began their explanation.

"After she made contact with my boots, she was able to move them around however she wanted. But she only made slight adjustments.," Mercury explained.

" It's just enough to make it look like she's untouchable. She doesn't broadcast her power, so it puts her opponent at a disadvantage.," Emerald said.

"Hmm... People assume that she's fated for victory, when she's really taking fate into her own hands. Interesting. Add her to the list.," Cinder said.

"You should be able to take her no problem. Right, Mercury?," Emerald said.

Mercury didn't hear her, well that was until she spoke up again.

"Mercury!," Emerald said snapping him out of whatever trance he was in.

"Huh? Oh, sorry. Guess I was distracted by something.," Mercury said.

Emerald just gave him a look before Cinder spoke up.

"It's not about overpowering the enemy. It's about taking away what power they have. And we will, in time.," Cinder said.

"I really hate waiting.," Mercury said.

"Not to worry Mercury, you'll have yiur chance. Besides, we have a fun weekend ahead of us.," Cinder said.

"What about the Elves though? I think they may be starting to catch on to what we're doing, Cinder.," Emerald said.

The girl brought up an excellent point. It wouldn't be very long until Cinder could no longer ignore and avoid the elven students.

"Hmm... You do have a point there. We'll just have to be careful then. Unlike the others here, those dark elves are no fools. They're very smart beings.," Cinder said in thought.

"They're very strong too, so we can't just ignore them forever. The Elves will no doubt hunt us down once they suspect us of anything, and...," Emerald said trailing off.

"And?," Cinder asked.

"They seem to have it out for you Cinder. Like... it seems as though they really do hate you.," Emerald said.

"Yeah... what's the deal with that anyway? Those Elves hate you just as deeply as their hatred for humans runs. Same goes for the boss too.," Mercury asked.

Cinder sighed as she then told them.

"We'll handle the Elves accordingly. As for why they same to legitimately hate me...," Cinder said as she began to tell them her side of the story.

Timeskip...

Ruby is seen glumly resting her head in her hand as she stares into space forlornly. Suddenly her train of thought is interrupted when a pair of hands slam onto the table in front of her.

"I need you to pick a tablecloth.," Weiss said smiling as she slides over two squares of cloth to Ruby appearing to be similar shades of white.

Ruby raised an eyebrow in confusion as she looked at the two squares. Just as she was about to answer, another voice spoke.

"I'd go with the one on the right, Ruby.," The new voice said to her.

She looked to her left and saw that it was Odyn who had spoken to her.

"But Odyn, aren't they the same?," She whispered.

"She doesn't need to know that. Besides, you know how Weiss can get if you don't give her a straight answer.," He whispered back.

"Um... the right one.," Ruby told Weiss.

"Thanks., "Weiss said before walking away.

Weiss then walks off, most likely to take care of the table cloth. Odyn then turns and begins to walk away when Ruby tugged on his sleeve.

"What's up, Ruby?," Odyn asked.

"What are you doing here?," Ruby asked.

"Oh right. Thought I'd drop by and say hello, also to see what you guys were up to. I'm just on my way to see my parents who are in Vale for the festival.," Odyn said.

"Oh. Do you mind if I come with you?," Ruby asked.

Odyn eyed her and saw no deceit in her eyes, she was being honest.

"Sure, I don't see why not.," Odyn answered.

Ruby spoke again, this time a bit more bashful than before.

"Besides... I uh... I k-kinda wanted to talk to you some more, Odyn.," Ruby said with a tint of pink lining her cheeks.

Odyn smiled at her.

"That's fine by me. I'm pretty certain my parents wanted to meet you, little rose.," Odyn said.

Roy waved his brother over towards him, most likely he needed to speak to him about something.

"We'll get going in a bit, I just need to talk to about something first.," Odyn said.

"Sure. I'll just wait over here for you, Odyn. I'm sure whatever your brother wants to speak with you about has to be pretty important.,"Ruby said.

Odyn then walked over towards Roy as the two brothers began to chat, leaving Ruby on her own with her teammates at the moment. Yang then slid over giving Ruby a sly and knowing smirk after putting down some speakers, making Ruby and the table bounce.

"😏He calls you little rose, eh? When did you pull that one off, Rubes?," Yang asked smirking.

This teasing only served to make Ruby blush furiously and cover her face with her hood in embarrassment.

"I-I didn't! Odyn started calling me that on his own. A-and it isn't like he calls me that all of the time, just sometimes!," Ruby replied embarrassed.

Yang then brushes her her as she continues to chat with her sister.

"So, have you picked out a dress yet?," Yang asked.

Ruby sighed.

"No, I haven't.  Besides, what's the point if Blake isn't going?,"Ruby replied.

"Oh, you don't need to worry about that; she's going.," Yang said before looking over off screen.

She has annoyed look on her face, matched only by her tone in voice.

"Weiss! I thought we agreed; no doilies!," Yang said annoyed.

Weiss then walks up to Yang, pointing her finger in the blonde's face.

"If I can't have doilies, you can't have fog machines!," Weiss snapped back.

Before the two girls can argue further, another voice interrupted them.

"Your dance is gonna have fog machines?," Neptune asked as he walked into the room with Sun.

Weiss then stepped up to him, becoming sweet suddenly.

"We were thinking about it...," Weiss said suddenly sweet now.

Daikon who was with Odtn and Roy couldn't help but to silently snicker at this. Weiss saw where the boy was and glared at him annoyed.

"💢Must he tease about everything?! He's so... infuriating, and annoying! Although he is quite handsome, that personality of his is so... infuriating!,"Weiss internally thought.

"That's pretty cool.," Neptune said.

Sun then starts acting suave when he comes into the scene, much to Weiss's growing annoyance.

"So are you ladies all excited for 'dress up'?," Sun asked.

"Pfft, yeah right!," Ruby laughed downplaying it.

"You're laughing now Rubes, but I bet you want to look attractive to a certain guy you've had your eye on for a bit. Right?," Yang said.

Ruby's face lit up again before she tried to make Sun forget what he heard.

"Y-Yang shut it! He doesn't need to know that!," Ruby said embarrassed and blushing.

Sun, Neptune, and Weiss raised curious eyebrows at this. They were curious as to what this was about Ruby and Odyn.

They would respect her privacy though, even if Yang wouldn't.

"Laugh all you want, I'll be turning heads tomorrow night!," Yang said.

"Yeah, you do that Yang.," Ruby said.

Weiss turned to address Sun and Neptune.

"So.. what are you two wearing to the dance?," Weiss asked.

"Uuhhh... this?," Sun said gesturing to his shirtless outfit that he currently wore.

Neptune steps up in front of his friend, putting a hand in front of Sun's face.

"Please ignore him, for he knows not of what he says.," Neptune said.

Sun then knocks Neptune's hand away from his face as he talks.

"Hey, I may have moved to Mistral, but I grew up in Vacuo. It's not exactly a shirt-and-tie kind of place.," Sun said.

Yang, Ruby, and Weiss all give Sun a dry look as if they've been told something extremely obvious.

"😑 Yeah... we noticed.," Yang said with a dry look on her face.

Sun then rubs the back of his head as he prepared to ask a question pertaining to certain friend of theirs.

"Soo... uh... What does Blake think about all this? Is she being... ya know, all Blakey?," Sun asked feeling a little awakward.

"Obviously.," Weiss said turning and crossing her arms in disapproval.

"I still can't think of a way we can change her mind...," Ruby replied solemnly.

"Guys, just leave it to me. Trust me, Blake will be at the Dance tomorrow.," Yang said assuring them.

"Alright, we'll leave you to it then Yang.," Odyn said after he came over.

Roy and Daikon had walked over as well. Odyn looked to Ruby.

"Ready to go?," He asked.

"Huh? Oh, right! Yeah, let's go then.," Ruby responded.

Yang raised an eyebrow and called after her sister.

"Wait Rubes, where are you going?," Yang asked.

"Well uh..," She started before Odyn put a hand on her shoulder to signal that he'd explain it to cover for her.

"We're just going to visit my Parents. My mother was actually pretty eager to meet Ruby based on the letters I sent them since attending Beacon.," Odyn explained.

"Ah, ok. Just.. don't stay out too long.," Yang said.

"Don't worry Yang, I'll have your sister back here before you know it.," Odyn said.

Yang chuckled.

"Take your time Odyn, I trust you with my sister. Just take care of her, okay?," Yang replied.

Odyn nodded and the two of them walked off, Yang smirking as she watched them.

With Blake...

The Faunus herself is sitting at one of the library tables with a holographic screen in front of her. She is obviously more sleep-deprived than ever, barely focusing on what she's seeing... until a small, bright red light appears on the screen. Moving up and down, Blake's eyes follow it down to her hand, then disappears entirely. She looks behind herself, obviously irritated, but no one walking among the tables is her culprit.

Turning back to the computer, she starts typing on the beeping keyboard before the laser dot appears on her hand briefly, prompting her to look around again and still find no one. The red point shows up on the screen, moving around in circles until Blake scowls and pounds her fists on the table. She stands up from her chair and finds the light on the floor, following it blindly through shelves of books until both the dot and its pursuer turn the corner, only for Blake to bump, shocked and shaken out of her more "animal" instincts, into... who else but a certain blonde haired brawler.

"He-lloooo 🎶!" Yang said in a singing voice as she waves with her left hand and her right holding the laser pointer.

The blonde then grabs Blake and whisks her away with a shriek of surprise coming from the faunus.

Elsewhere with Jaune...

Ren is seen emerging from the steaming bathroom in nothing but a pink towel wrapped around his lower body. He sighs being content and begins to walk away only to be suddenly stopped by Jaune.

"We need to talk, Ren!," Jaune said.

The blonde then grabs Ren's arm and yanks him out of the scene illiciting a single cry of surprise from the other teen. Ren's bottle of "Samurai Shampoo" then spins in the air before promptly dropping to the ground.

Dorm room: JNPR

Jaune is seen sitting on his bed while talking to Ren off screen.

"Ren... I'm just gonna say it. You are one of my best friends. These past few months, I feel like we've really bonded, even though you don't say much. I mean, you're really quiet. To be perfectly honest, I don't know that much about you, personally, but darnit, I consider you to be the brother I never had!," Jaune said.

Meanwhile Ren is seen to be looking rather uncomfortable in only his bath towel, but he still smiles and nods to Jaune when he's done speaking.

"And I you.," Ren said in reply.

He tries to still be attentive to Jaune, while looking at his outfit that hangs on the door.

"That's why I wanted to get your advice on... girls.," Jaune said.

Ren raised a curious eyebrow at this. Why did Jaune want to talk to him about girls?

"Girls?," Ren asked trying to sound like he was surprised and was secretly reaching for his clothes while Jaune wasn't looking.

Jaune looks to the floor with his hands folded as he is trying to find the right words to describe his predicament.

"I just... don't know... how to... girls. Um, I-I guess what I'm asking is... Well, how did you and Nora... y'know...," Jaune said fumbling for the words to convey.

Ren puts his hand down after reaching for his robe, but now looks even more awakward while doing so.

"Uh... uh... uh...," Ren said awkwardly.

Nora then speaks up to bail out Ren temporarily while he recovered. She clears her throat, gaining the attention of both boys. She wore her emblazoned headphones, a colored shirt that said "Boop" on it, along with her pink lightning bolt shorts. She rested.on her knees while reading a book, laughing nervously.

"We're actually not "together-together...",Nora said a little bashful.

Ren fully recovered before he yelled.

"NORA I SAID HEADPHONES ON!," Ren yelled.

Nora quickly does as she was asked under Ren's gaze.

"Jaune, what's this all about?," Ren asked now fully focused on his friend.

Jaune sighs deeply, a sign that he was depressed as he looked at the floor while he spoke.

"It's Weiss. I'm completely head-over-heels for her, and she won't even give me a chance. She's cold, but she's also incredible. She's smart, and graceful, and talented. I mean, have you heard her sing? I-I just wish she's take me seriously, y'know? I wish I could tell her how I feel without messing it all up.," Jaune admitted.

"Then just do it.," a voice said being revealed to be Pyrrha said.

He looks up to see Pyrrha in the doorway.

"Uh, wha?," He asked confused.

"Tell her exactly what you said. No ridiculous schemes, no pick-up lines. Just... be honest.," Pyrrha said walking into the room.

"But what if I-," Jaune started before Pyrrha interrupted him.

"Jaune. You can't get it wrong if it's the truth.," Pyrrha said smiling.

Jaune then looked up with a new confidence as he stood to his feet.

"You're right. Thanks, Pyrrha!," Jaune said as he began to walk towards the door.

He looked back towards the bed.

"Good talk, Ren!," Jaune said as he continued towards the door and out of the room.

Ren smiles and waves his thanks while Jaune closes the door. Upon doing so, Pyrrha becomes noticeably less cheerful as she walks over to her desk, with a concerned Nora watching her with sad eyes.

"Practice what you preach, Pyrrha.," Nora said sighing.

"He'll never know you feel until you're straight with him. And you just pushed him off towards another girl. You don't want it to end this way, do you?," A voice in Pyrrha's head told her.

Pyrrha looked around frantically.

Ren looked at his teammate, concerned.

"Are.. you alright Pyrrha?," Ren asked.

"Huh? Y-Yeah I'm.. fine. Neither of you said anything just now, did you?," Pyrrha replied.

Nora and Ren looked at each other before speaking.

"Um.. no?," Nora said.

"Not besides just making sure you were okay that is.,"Ren replied.

"Oh, I see... must've imagined it then..," Pyrrha said walking over to her desk and sitting down.

"What is wrong with me? Am i... hearing voices now?," Pyrrha thought troubled.

She sighed as she then went to work on the assignments from class.

With Yang and Blake...

Yang and Blake were walking towards an abandoned classroom when they saw a dark elf in crimson armor around their age. They overheard his conversation with someone.

"I see... they've been watching them, have they? Very well. Keep an eye out for any abnormal behavior if possible.," a voice said.

"Yes, General. I will take my leave now.," The young elf said.

He turned and walked away as he spotted the two of them.

"Hm? Ah, miss Xiao Long, miss Belladonna a pleasure to see you both.," The Elf greeted the girls.

"Aren't you-?," Yang started to ask before he realized he hadn't given them his name yet.

"Ah yes, do forgive me for not introducing myself earlier. My name is Valvadern Arkham, I am one of 2 of their majesty's escorts.," Valvadern said introducing himself.

"Wait.. Arkham? You.. wouldn't happen to be related to professor Arkham, would you?," Yang asked.

The dark elf nodded.

"I am. Sybyrh or professor as you call her is indeed my elder sister.," Valvadern said.

The girls eyes widened briefly before Valvadern cleared his throat.

"I do beg your pardon, I didn't mean to hold you two up. I have pressing business to attend to myself so I bid you a good day ladies.," Valvadern said as he then walked away but not before telling Blake one more thing.

"Miss Belladonna, if I may offer one piece of advice to you.," He said before continuing.

"Yes, what is it?," Blake asked.

"I've also been through what you currently are to an extent. Don't become so consumed in finding a solution that you neglect maintaining yourself in order to achieve your goal, otherwise you will fail when the opportunity presents itself. Attacking your problem with a clear mind will do wonders for you.," Valvadern said before walking away.

Blake just stared at the spot the dark elf was just a minute ago in thought. The dark elves were very sharp and could pick up on things normal people could not, was he right? Was she harming herself more than she was closing in on the answer to her worries?

She shook her head, there was no way! He or rather Valvadern had to be wrong... or was he? She could think about that later, she needed to see what it was that Yang wanted.

They walked into the classroom and Blake spoke.

"Yang, if you're going to tell me to stop, you may as well save your breath.," Blake said.

Yang was seen sitting with her legs crossed on the desk in the center of the classroom. The orange light of the setting Sun danced gently across her calm facial features.

"I don't want you to stop; I want you to slow down. Or rather we want you to just take it easy.," Yang said.

Blake continued to pace with her arms crossed as she spoke again.

"Take it easy, slow down? I don't have time or luxury to take it easy and slow down!," Blake said as she paced.

Yang remained calm as she spoke again.

"It's not a luxury Blake, it's a necessity.  Have you heard what you sound like? You're obsessed. I get that you want to stop Torchwick and The White Fang, but there has to be another way to go about this.," Yang said.

Blake became angry at this, Yang just didn't get it. She had to do this, people would die if she didn't stop him.

"The "necessity" is stopping Torchwick.," Blake argued.

"And we're going to. But first you have to sit down and listen to what I have to say.," Yang said as she patted the part of the desk directly across from her.

Blake looks away for a moment, but then sighs as she relents and drapes her legs over desk's edge.

"Ugh, fine.," Blake said relenting.

Yang then began her story.

"Ruby and I grew up in Patch, an island off the coast of Vale. Our parents were Huntsmen. Our dad taught at Signal, and our mom took on missions around the kingdom. Her name was Summer Rose, and she was, like... Super-Mom: Baker of cookies and slayer of giant monsters. And then... one day she left for a mission and never came back.," Yang said before looking down as she says this.

Blake allows a sorrowful look to adorn her face as she feels sorry for Yang. The blonde then continued her story.

"It was tough. Ruby was really torn up, but... I think she was still too young to really get what was going on, y'know? And my dad just kind of... shut down. It wasn't long before I learned why. Summer wasn't the first love he lost; she was the second. The first... was my mom.," Yang said.

Blake looks amazed at this, but also surprised as Yang kept talking.

"He wouldn't tell me everything, but I learned that the two of them had been on a team together with Summer and Qrow, and that she'd left me with him right after I was born. No one had seen her since.," Yang said continuing with her story.

"Do you know why she left you?," Blake asked.

Yang sighed as she turned towards the chalkboard in the room, beginning to draw on it as she continued talking.

"That question... Why? I didn't know an answer, but I was determined to find out. It was all I thought about. I would ask anyone I could about what they knew about her.," Yang said rambling now.

As the Blonde starts drawing on the board, the scene shifts to a flat-painted flashback of a young Yang, with orange bows holding her brunette pigtails, looking at the photo found in a smashed picture frame.

"Then, one day, I found something. What I thought was a clue that could lead me to answers, or maybe even my mother.," Yang continued.

The scene plays out in the background along with her story. It shows Yang walking down a long winding path through the towering trees shedding their leaves with a little creaking wagon pulled right behind her, a little sister in a crimson hood sleeping soundly inside.

" I waited for Dad to leave the house, put Ruby in a wagon, and headed out. I must've walked for hours. I had cuts and bruises, I was totally exhausted, but I wasn't gonna let anything stop me. When we finally got there, I could barely stand, but I didn't care; I had made it. And then I saw them. Those burning red eyes...," Yang said trailing off.

It shows that in the shadows of the worn down and beaten house the siblings had arrived at, beastly red shapes glow from the darkness.

"There we were: A toddler sleeping in the back of a wagon and a stupid girl too exhausted to even cry for help. We might as well have been served on a silver platter. As luck would have it though, our uncle showed up just in the nick of time.," Yang said as the scene plays out in the background.

The Beowolves leap into the air to devour their young prey, the familiar sound of a gun-scythe follows the sight of them all being cut into pieces by a caped warrior. His bird-haired silhouette fades away to present day, where Yang has just finished drawing a clockwork eye.

"My stubborn attitude should have gotten myself and Ruby killed that night... and yet, here we are.," Yang said as she finished her story.

"Yang... I'm sorry that happened to you, and I understand what you're trying to tell me, but this is different. I'm not a child, and this isn't just a search for answers! I can't just-," Blake said before Yang interrupted her.

Yang is still facing the chalkboard with her fist clenched.

" I told you: I'm not telling you to stop! I haven't! To this day, I still want to know what happened to my mother and why she left me, but I will never let that search control me. We're going to find the answers we're looking for, Blake. But if we destroy ourselves in the process, what good are we?," Yang told her friend.

"You don't understand! I'm the only one who can do this!," Blake argued.

Yang then turns around her eyes red and power blazing around her.

"No, you don't understand! If Roman Torchwick walked through that door, what would you do?," Yang replied.

"I'd fight him, of course!," Blake argued again.

"Yeah, and you'd lose!," Yang said pushing Blake away.

"I can stop him!," Blake snapped back trying to do the same to Yang but ultimately failing to do so.

"You can huh?  You can't even stop me, Blake!," Yang argued back pushing her faunus friend again.

She pushes Blake again, knocking her to land on the desk. Yang, still angry-eyed, walks toward Blake as she gets up, but then does the unexpected and embraces her in a hug, her eyes going back to their normal lilac color.

"I'm not asking you to stop. Just please, get some rest. (She released from the hug to look at her partner with a smile) Not just for you, but for the people you care about.," Yang said as she steps away and starts to walk past the startled faunus.

She then speaks again over her shoulder to say one last thing to Blake.

"And.. if you feel like coming out tomorrow, I'll save you a dance.," Yang said before walking off.

Yang winks down at Blake, and Blake stares at Yang as she leaves before sighing heavily and walking away, leaving the all-seeing eye on the board.

Elsewhere with Ruby and Odyn..

Ruby and Odyn arrived near the center of Vale where, the young dark elf named Zero was waiting for them.

"Zero?," Odyn asked.

"Took you two long enough. Right this way.," Zero said before leading them towards the courtyard of the school.

Once there, he knelt as he addressed two very familiar figures.

"Lord Odyn and Lady Ruby are here to see you, my lieges.," Zero said kneeling.

"Ah.. excellent. Thank you, Zero. You may take your leave now.," Hyatan said.

Zero bowled his head again briefly before quickly vanishing into thin air.

Odyn went forward first, Ruby trailing him. The dark elf knelt upon seeing his parents as sign of respect for their position.

"I apologize for the late arrival, your majesties. There was a bit of a situation that required our attention. As requested, I have brought Ruby here with me.," Odyn said as he knelt.

Ruby mirrored the action, also kneeling in respect of their social standing.

"Welcome. And that's quite alright, son. I'm sure it couldn't be helped. Incidentally, Odyn.... there is something I would ask you.," Bérethon said.

"Of course, my lord.," Odyn replied.

"How.. is it at Beacon? Are you having any troubles there?," Bèrethon asked.

"It certainly has been... eventful to say the least.," Odyn said.

"And what of your treatment by the student body here?," Hyatan asked.

Ruby answered this time.

"If I may, your majesty... The students are all rather curious about Dark Elves. Because they're curious or unsure, they're a little afraid. They know what's been taught to them about Elves.. but that isn't what they've seen from Odyn and his friends. Odyn and the others have been benevolent and understanding,  not at all like what they've been led to believe growing up. And I think that's why they're confused and abit curious about your people.," Ruby said.

"Ah, I thank you Ruby. This does take a load off of our minds.," Bèrethon said.

"You said not all of them give Elves grief for being students at Beacon... What of those who believe those awful stories?," Hyatan asked.

Ruby gulped because she wasn't entirely sure how they'd take the news.

"There is... one group of people who have the wrong idea about Elves. A boy named Cardin Winchester and his 3 teammates seem to enjoy picking fights with Odyn and other Elves for some reason, they think they have to prove how superior humans are to .. ahem and I quote: "pointy eared freaks of nature".," Ruby said.

Bèrethon's face briefly had a shadow over it as he processed his decision.

"I see... thank you, Ruby.," The king said.

"Incidentally, Father. There is something I would like to speak to you about in private, if at all possible.," Odyn said in request.

"I see. Very well then, come with me my son. I would talk to you in private.," Bèrethon said.

Hyatan looked at him.

"We won't be long. Shouldn't be more than a few minutes.," He said.

"Dear... take your time. I'm sure not just as King and Prince, but as father and son you both have a lot of things to discuss with each other. Please take your time, enjoy this time with your son, our son.," Hyatan said admonishing her husband.

Bèrethon laughed, he knew there was no winning an argument against his wife and queen.

"Yes dear, you are correct. That was my blunder for thinking of this chat as such. I will be sure to spend as much time with my son as I can. It would seem your mother would like to allow us time to catch up with each other.," Bèrethon said.

Odyn smiled knowingly at his father upon realizing what his mother wanted.

"Then let's not disappoint her, father.," Odyn said.

Both father and son then walked off to discuss important matters, but also to just catch up with each other. This left Ruby alone with Hyatan. She was alone with the queen of an entire race of people she was... learning about still.

Hyatan smiled at the girl as she spoke.

"So you're the famous Ruby Rose I've heard so much about? My son has talked quite a bit about you in his letters to us since he's been attending Beacon.," Hyatan said.

Ruby rubbed the back of her head and blushed slightly in embarrassment at the praise she received.

"Well, I don't know about famous or anything... but my name is Ruby Rose.," Ruby said bashfully.

Hyatan spoke again.

"Tell then Ruby, How is my son doing at Beacon? I'd like to get a feel for how he really is doing from someone who's close to him.," Hyatan asked.

"Odyn is doing really well, he's helped myself and my team several times already. That said... there are.. a group of kids who seem to always make trouble for him. And... they say some really mean things about him, stuff I would consider crossing the line. But.. he never does anything to them, he just takes it and smiles! I know it has to really hurt him to hear what people are saying about not just him, his family, and ultimately his race and their way of life. That has to make him furious inside... I actually get mad thinking about the things Cardin and his teammates say about Odyn and you Elves!," Ruby said getting upset before recomposing herself.

Hyatan's eyes softened at hearing Ruby's side of how Odyn was doing at Beacon. To think that there was someone by her son's side that cared for him and the Elven people so much, it made her proud.

"Thank you, Ruby. When I think that there was someone by Odyn's side who cared so deeply for him and our people, I couldn't be more proud as a mother.," Hyatan told her.

Ruby wiped away tears from her outburst as she smiled.

"Of course, your majesty. Odyn is my friend after all.," Ruby said grinning and slightly blushing.

Hyatan smiled at her, this girl was certainly charming enough. Now she was beginning to understand why Odyn seemed so taken with this girl as he talked about her in his letters.

"Ruby.," Hyatan said addressing the girl in red.

"Yes, your majesty?," Ruby asked.

"I'm going to ask you something a little bit personal if that's okay with you.," Hyatan said.

Ruby nodded.

"Please. Go ahead and ask me anything m'lady.," Ruby replied.

"Alright... then How do you feel about Odyn?," Hyatan asked.

"Well... I think he's amazing-," Ruby started before Hyatan cut her off.

"No, How do you really feel about him?," Hyatan asked.

"You'll have to forgive me your Grace, I'm afraid I don't quite understand what you mean.," Ruby replied.

Hyatan smiled before waving off the concern and looking at her directly innthe eyes.

"Perhaps I should rephrase my question.  Please be honest, Ruby and tell me. How do you truly feel about Odyn?," Hyatan asked.

Now she understood what the queen meant, she just wanted an honest answer. Ruby could do that no sweat. As she relayed her truest and deepest feelings concerning Odyn, a feeling she hadn't known was there came washing over her.

"I... think your son is amazing. He's always been there for me when I needed help. Even when I'm feeling down and having a bad day, like my first day here, Odyn has always known just what to say to me. His words have helped me more than I could ever repay him for. A-and I just want to make it up to him for always helping me. But... also.. I've been feeling strange about him lately. Whenever we're close to each other, my heart starts pounding, and even when I get to just talk to him alone I suddenly feel like I never want the day to end. I also find myself thinking about him every other thought in my mind and I'm sad when he has to leave. I.. don't know what's wrong with me! I'm not going crazy, am I?!," Ruby ranting.

Hyatan chuckled as she then responded to Ruby.

"No Ruby, there's nothing wrong with you. You're simply going through what all young women at your age go through.," Hyatan replied.

"So.. I'm not going insane?," Ruby asked.

"No, no you're not. From what you described to me about what you're feeling whenever Odyn is around... that can only be described as one four letter word.," Hyatan explained.

"And what's that?," She asked.

'I think you know, Ruby. You've fallen for Odyn, haven't you?," Hyatan responded.

Ruby's face grew red and her heart began to pound at what Hyatan was suggesting. There was no way! What the queen was suggesting was ludicrous! She couldn't possibly like Odyn in "that" way, could she?

"W-What?! N-No! Me and Odyn?! That would never-," Ruby began to deny before Hyatan looked her straight in the eyes.

"Ruby, I know you don't mean that. I can see it in your eyes... you want it to be true. You're in love with Odyn, aren't you?," Hyatan confronted the girl.

Ruby sighed, her cheeks now burning red as she began to fidget bashfully.

"Y-Yeah... You're absolutely right, Your Grace. I.. do love your son.," Ruby admitted before she continued.

"I-I think deep down.. I m-more or less knew that I had fallen in love with Odyn. I t-thought I could just stay friends with him but now.. I.. don't know if I can simply stay as just his friend.," Ruby confessed.

Hyatan smiled at the girl again.

"And.. that's okay, Ruby! It's alright to more of the opposite gender. If you want yourself and Odyn to be more than just friends, that's alright. And you have my approval as well as my husband's. What you're feeling for odyn is genuine love.," Hyatan asked.

"Love... what is love?," Ruby asked.

"Love is something that cannot be explained. There's familial love which you know, physical or romantic love... what you feel for My son, and there's what we elves like to call unconditional Love.," Hyatan explained.

"Unconditional... Love?," Ruby asked.

"Yes. That means you genuinely love someone, no matter what they've done, will do, or haven't yet done.," Hyatan explained.

"Like the love myself and Bèrethon feel for you as if you were our own. This can lead towards our people's ultimate goal..," Hyatan said.

"Peaceful Coexistence.," Ruby said finishing the Queen's thought.

"Yes, I can see my son has told you about us.," Hyatan replied.

Ruby nodded.

"He has. And I understand that us humans and you Elves are different in some ways, but that doesn't change the fact that you're still people like human and Faunus are. Why should one race of people have to suffer because humans won't take the time to really get to know who the Elves are as people?," Ruby said.

"That's a very good question, Ruby. One that I unfortunately don't have the answer to.," Hyatan said in thought.

"Can I ask you something, your grace?," Ruby asked in question.

Hyatan nodded.

"I-Is it true that war may break out between Elves and Humans?," Ruby asked.

Hyatan sighed before she looked at Ruby and then spoke again.

"Yes, Ruby it is true. Unfortunately... the humans aren't really giving us much of a choice. We've tried time and again reaching out to them, hoping, praying, that they would treat us as actual people... However humans are rather stubborn by nature. If war does breakout,  what will you do Ruby? You have friends on both sides of this.," Hyatan asked.

"I'll fight to end the war then. There's no reason why both sides can't learn to get along with each other. Once the war has ended, I'll make sure both sides can really understand each other.," Ruby said with a determined look.

Hyatan smiled at her, she liked Ruby even more now.

It was at this moment that Odyn and Bèrethon returned. They saw that Ruby and Hyatan were finished talking and decided to make their presence known. Odyn walked over to Ruby and Bèrethin walked towards Hyatan.

"I take it you two are finished talking?," Bèrethon asked.

"Yes, dear. We are. I think we've come to a mutual understanding of each other now.," Hyatan replied.

"We have to be getting back, mother, father.," Odyn said.

"I see. Do be careful on your way back. And Ruby...," Hyatan said gaining the girls attention.

"Yes?," Ruby asked.

"Take your time to consider what I've shared with you, alright?," Hyatan said.

Ruby nodded and smiled.

"I will, your Grace.," Ruby replied.

With that said, Odyn and Ruby made their way back towards the dorms. They walked mostly in silence all the way until they were back near their dorms. This is when Ruby decided to speak up.

The were just outside of Ruby's dorms where all of her female friends decided to be nosy and peak in on her conversation.

"O-Odyn, can I uh... ask you something?," Ruby said blushing and a bit nervous.

Hyatan's words were still fresh in her mind at the moment and she was still trying to proccess them.

Odyn turned towards her and smiled.

"Sure Ruby. For you, I can make time to listen.," Odyn said.

This made Ruby happy . It made her not as... nervous now to ask him something she wanted to for awhile now.

"Y-You d-don't happen to have a partner for the Beacon Dance,  do you?"She asked bashful.

"Uh... no? At least.. I don't think I do.," Odyn said in thought.

Ruby then blushed again as she thought of the implications surrounding what she was going to ask him. She steeled her nerves and just said what she was meaning to.

"W-Would you like to come to the d-dance w-w-wi-with m-me then?," She asked blushing furiously as she fidgeted nervously.

"Oh my!," Khanna said.

"Did she..," Pyrrha said.

"Just..," Nora continued.

"Ask..," Note said.

"Him...," Flare added.

"Out to the dance?!," Yang asked as they all silently squealed in delight.

Hailfire just smirked before she answered.

"If you think about this, is it really a surprise though? We've all seen how she is around Odyn, this was bound to happen when the dance was announced.," Hailfire said smirking.

The other girls agreed and nodded before listening in again.

"Uh.. wow Ruby... I'm honored you would ask me. And I have an answer for you.," Odyn said as he then knelt down abit to her level to look her in the eyes.

"Y-You do?," Ruby asked.

"I'd be honored to go to the Beacon Dance with you.," He said.

"R-really? You mean it?," Ruby asked a little surprised herself that Odyn had accepted so quickly.

"Yes. I think... if another girl aside from.you had asked me, I would have very politely turned her down.," Odyn said.

"How come?," Ruby asked curious.

"You're more special than you realize, Ruby. You have a way of brightening some one's day and you draw people together. Also.. you've stood up for me when I couldn't. I appreciate that about you. I've found myself wanting to get to know you more, seems you've had more of an effect on me than I realized at first. I wouldn't get that same feeling from another girl, I don't know why but it feels like it would be kinda awkward had another girl went with me to the dance. Maybe I'm paranoid about humans still.," Odyn said.

"Odyn...," Ruby said with her eyes softening.

"Anyways... I better go, I'll need to prepare for tomorrow.," Odyn said noticeably nervous.

"Hee hee! Alright, I'll be waiting.," Ruby giggled.

"I'll pick you up at 7, okay?," Odyn said.

"Sounds good. Thank you, Odyn.," Ruby said as she hugged her friend.

Odyn hugged her back.

"You're welcome, little rose.," He replied.

Odyn turned to walk away before Ruby called back to him.

"Wait, Odyn. I uh... I wanted to give you something, you know, a-as thanks for today.," Ruby said stammering.

Odyn turned towards her and stood in front of her. Although they were roughly the same age at 17 years old, Odyn was still at least a foot taller than Ruby currently was. She had grown in the year since they first met, but she only came up to just below Odyn's neck.

Ruby walked up to him, put her hands on his chest while standing to her tiptoes in order to reach his face. The silver eyed girl then planted a kiss on Odyn's cheek, an action which surprised the dark elf considerably. Ruby smiled as she put her hands behind her back and then entered her dorm room.

This left Odyn rather confused and bewildered. He never expected Ruby to do something like that. He held his cheek in stunned silence as he walked away still processing what the heck just happened.

With Jaune...

The white rose in Jaune's hand bounces up and down as its smiling owner walks through Beacon Academy until he stops at the entrance of a hallway with the sound of a certain voice, causing him to duck behind the columns outside.

"Neptune!," Weiss called to the teen as she walked past Jaune and right up to the blue haired teen.

Jaune looks on as he peers around the corner.

"Oh, uh, hey Weiss. What's up?," Neptune asked.

" I know this is a little unorthodox, but... I wanted to ask you something.," Weiss said as she puts her hands behind her back and trying to look innocent as Jaune is silently pleading for his crush not to say the oncoming words.

"Please... don't say it.," Jaune silently pleaded.

Unfortunately, his pleas weren't heard as the very words he dreaded came from Weiss's mouth.

"Would you... like to accompany me to the dance tomorrow?," Weiss asked.

Neptune rubs the backnof his head and smiles, while Jaune lost all the confidence he'd just gained in order to ask Weiss the question she just asked Neptune. Jaune sighs sadly as he drops the Rose and walks back to where he came.

Later that evening....

Back in the dorm with the girls, Ruby is abnormally quiet. A moment later, the door opens and in comes Weiss. She looks around the room and sees their other female friends such as Note, Khanna, Flare, Hailfire, and Pyrrha.

"About time you're back.," Hailfire said.

Weiss raised a confused eyebrow, did she miss something?

"Did I.. miss something?," She asked.

Yang smirked.

"Yeah, only the event of the century. No biggie.," Yang said.

"That would imply something pretty big happened.," Weiss remarked.

"You would be correct in assuming that was the case, Weiss.," Hailfire said.

Weiss looked towards Ruby and noticed that she was oddly quiet. The girl noticed Weiss looking towards her for an explanation, so she gathered her courage and spoke finally.

"What is this about, Ruby?," Weiss asked.

"Well Weiss... uh... I kinda... asked Odyn to go to the Dance tomorrow with me.," Ruby said nervous.

Weiss widened her eyes,  she was surprised for once.

"You... did?," Weiss asked a little bit lost for words.

"Y-Yeah.. I did. It just slipped out before I knew what I said.," Ruby admitted.

"And, what did he say?," Weiss asked.

"You won't believe it Weiss, but Odyn actually accepted the invite from Rubes. Even though she said it was unintentional.," Yang said.

"Really?," Weiss asked smiling.

Ruby nodded.

"Well then... you know you have to go through with it now, right?," Weiss asked.

"Y-yeah.. I know.," Ruby said.

"And something like this...," Yang continued.

"Calls for your best!," Note echoed the sentiment.

"You... do want to look nice for Lord Odyn, don't you Ruby?," Hailfire asked.

"Y-Yeah i-i s-suppose so. He won't think I'm weird, will he?," Ruby said unsure.

"Ruby trust me, my cousin will be pleasantly surprised to see you in a dress. Besides, he already likes you. I think it would be good for you to surprise him.," Khanna added.

"We'll even help you p-pick one out Ruby.," Flare chimed in.

"You do want to make him happy, don't ya Rubes?", Yang asked.

"W-well... yes.," Ruby said.

"Then think of this as a way to repay him for the times he's helped you. Then it won't be so hard.," Weiss said encouraging her friend.

The girls then game planned about how they would help Ruby pick out the perfect dress for her dance date with Odyn the next evening.

Timeskip- Evening of the following day...

Odyn, Roy, and Baron are seen to be getting ready for the Beacon Dance as they are finishing adjusting either their blazer, tie, or buttoning their shirt. Roy is the first one finished as he then speaks up.

"Better hurry up bro, wouldn't want to be late.," Roy said.

Odyn is seen to be adjusting his tie and straightening the Blazer jacket he had purchased the day before.

"I'll keep that in mind. Have to go pick up Ruby beforehand though.," Odyn said.

"Oh? You're picking her up and taking her?," Roy asked.

"Well that is what we agreed upon.," Odyn replied.

"Yeah, guess you wouldn't want to keep Ruby waiting... not that I'm in any position to talk.," Roy said.

"Let me guess... Yang asked you, didn't she?," Odyn responded.

"How did you..?," Roy started but was interrupted by Odyn.

"Roy, give me some credit. I'm your brother, I know you.," Odyn said.

"That's true. You know, if you weren't my brother I'd say that's almost scary how well you know me.," Roy chuckled.

"Well, that is my job isn't it?," Odyn said smiling.

"True enough. Well, I'm going to go ahead. I'll see you in a bit.," Roy said as he left.

Odyn then looked over to Baron who looked as if he was waiting for someone.

Baron his hair neatly combed back, so one could clearly see his features. He wore a dark blue blazer with the white buttoned up shirt underneath, a blue tie, dark blue dress pants, a black belt, white socks, and black shoes.

"Are you.. waiting for someone, Baron?," Odyn asked while adjusting his shirt.

"Uh yeah actually I am. She's a member of your team.," Baron told him.

"A member of my team?," odyn thought aloud until a new voice interrupted his thoughts.

"T-Thanks for waiting, B-Baron...," a female voice said.

The camera pans over to reveal Flare in a beautiful purple dress and matching heeled shoes. Her hair was sparkling, most likely a result of glitter or makeup, and... was that perfume he smelled? Flare's dress looked as if it was lit up by stars. Her chestnut colored tail hung behind her dress as it was glowing, just like her hair. Baron was speechless for a solid few minutes as he looked at the fox faunus girl. He cleared his throat when he realized that he was staring at her.

"You look.. really.. pretty, Flare.," Baron said.

This made Flare blush as her tail lightly wagged behind her, a clear sign that she was happy. She looked at Baron and stared briefly.

"O-oh t-thank you Baron... Y-you look very h-handsome yourself!," Flare said still blushing.

Baron rubbed the back of his head as he grinned. He then recomposed himself and offered his arm for Flare to wrap her hands around. She gladly did so as the two bid farewell to the fellow Dark elf.

" I guess we'll see you at the ballroom Odyn.," Baron said.

"Shall we go?," He asked Flare.

Flare smiled at him.

"Of course.," She replied.

The two walked off, leaving Odyn alone as he finally finished getting himself ready. Odyn wore a black blazer with a gray buttoned up shirt, a black tie, a brown belt, gray dress pants, and brown shoes. Odyn had trimmed his hair a bit so it only went down to his shoulders. It was quite long before stretching all the way to his mid back. He had also shaved as he had been growing some facial hair  in time he'd been at Beacon. He only had the time recently as of yesterday to shave his growing beard. The eyepatch he had worn up until a few weeks ago was now gone, due to his eye healing completely. There was the jagged scar that ran through his eye as proof of the damage that was once there.

"Right... I guess I should get going now as well.," Odyn said to himself.

With that said, he walked out of the dorm room while taking care to close the door behind him. He now made his way towards team Rwby's dorm, that was where Ruby would be most likely.

With Ruby...

Ruby was busy getting her earrings on and putting on her small black jacket when she heard a knock at the door. She had just finished putting on her heeled shoes when she stumbled to the door only to fall right into the arms of the person she was waiting for. It was Odyn.

"Careful there, wouldn't want you to get hurt before our dance would we?," Odyn asked.

"Heh heh, sorry about that. I'm not really used to these things.," Ruby said referring to the heeled shoes she wore.

Odyn looked at Ruby and smiled, she looked very pretty. He was honored to be the one to dance with a girl as beautiful as Ruby. He let her stand on her own as she then finished getting ready.

Ruby turned and the sight of Odyn almost took her breath away, she blushed upon realizing she was staring at him.

"Oh! S-sorry Odyn, you look... really handsome.," Ruby said blushing.

Odyn smiled at her.

"And you look.. lovely in that dress, little rose.," Odyn said.

"T-Thanks O-Odyn...," Ruby stuttered.

Odyn offered his arm which Ruby took as they walked out of the dorm room after closing the door behind them.

"Shall we, lady Ruby?," Odyn asked in a gentleman's voice.

"Of course.," Ruby replied as they made their way towards the ballroom.

Ballroom with the others..

Yang is seen in a simple white dress with black heels as she spots her date for the dance. It was Roy who had just arrived.

"Hey there, handsome~ I was beginning to wonder when you'd show up.," She smiled.

He smiled back.

"Of course I'd come Yang. After all I still owe you.," Roy said.

She nodded.

More students showed up and the blonde goes wide eyed at who comes up to her and Roy.

"Hello there, Yang.. and Roy.," Flare said.

"Oh my gosh, Flare?! I hardly recognized you!," Yang said excited.

Note and Beat came up next to the couple as they had been there for awhile.

"Spill it, did Baron ask you to the dance?," Yang asked.

Flare blushed as her face became red.

"A-Actually it was the other way around.," Flare said bashful.

"No way... Flare asked Baron?!," Yang said surprised.

"It was surprising at first. But once I saw how much courage it took Flare to ask me, I figured... how could I in good conscience refuse her?," He said.

Yang smirked.

"Good for you two.," She said congratulating them.

Note and Beat waved.

Note had on a simple silver dress with blue heels and a beaded necklace. Of course there was the hole for her brown monkey tail in the back of the dress, but she simply wrapped it around her waist like a belt so it would get grabbed or stepped on.

Beat meanwhile, had worn what most of the guys wore... a simple black blazer with a white shirt, red tie, black pants, and brown shoes. He had his tail wrapped around his waist like a belt for the same reason Note did.

Yang looked towards the doors and flipped out upon seeing who it was. It was Ruby and Odyn. Everyone looked at them and awed at how cute they were together. Steam was seen rising from Ruby's head as they walked over towards Yang and the others. The other teens who were with Yang and Roy were: Daikon who'd just arrived, Baron and Flare, Note and Beat, Hailfire and a teen she was with named Giblet, and  all of JNPR minus Pyrrha who had yet to arrive. Now Odyn and Ruby were with them.

"Ooohh, you look beautiful!,"Yang squealed.

Ruby groans as she looks distressed with her red dress with black lacing and red heeled shoes.

"Can we have a serious talk about how Weiss fights in these?," She groaned.

Ruby tries maintaining her balance but ultimately fails as she slips but is caught by odyn, much to her laughing sister's amusement.

"Careful there Ruby.," Odyn said.

"Th-thanks odyn...," Ruby said blushing.

"Besides uh.. you're very pretty in that dress, it'd be a shame if it was scuffed up.," Odyn said slightly embarrassed.

Ruby blushed at his compliment and simply smiled.

"Whew, is it hot in here or is it those two? Get a room you two!," Yang teased.

Ruby blushed angrily at this.

"Y-Yang! Don't say stuff like that!," Ruby said briefly chasing her sister.

Meanwhile outside, Sun is seen walking around and wearing a new black jacket (now closed up) with a white tie hung around his neck, which he proceeds to fight with before going inside.

"Dumb... stupid... neck trap!," Sun said fighting with his tie.

He then hears a familiar voice from beside him.

"I knew you'd look better in a tie.," Blake said.

Sun stops his struggling and stares at the dark purple dress worn by Blake, now looking like she traded her dark bags for violet eyeshadow, as she steps forward and takes him by the arm.

"Sooo... uh... does this mean we're going... together?," Sun asked.

"Technically, though my first dance is spoken for.," Blake said.

Back inside the ballroom, streamers are hung through glass chandeliers, pink and blue balloons are everywhere, and students in dark suits and bright dresses are stepping with each other to the music between the white-clothed tables.

Blake is spun around by Yang before they curtsey to one another, and Sun comes up and takes his date's hands as Yang gestures for him to do so. She then goes to hang out with Odyn, Ruby, and the other teens briefly before walking towards the dance floor with Roy.

Weiss who's in a similar whit dress to Yang's is there with the other teens as well. Though it doesn't appear as though she's very happy at the moment. Yang watches as Blake seems to be enjoying herself now before smiling at her other two teammates.

"Told you guys she'd come.," Yang said.

"Mission accomplished.," Weiss said inwardly relieved.

"Soo... what now?," Ruby asked.

"Just have fun! Speaking of which... (looks to Roy, to which he nods)," Yang said trailing off.

Roy extends his arm to which she gladly takes as they walk towards the dance floor.

Weiss walks in the opposite direction.

Odyn then extends a hand towards Ruby.

"May I have the pleasure of this dance, Ruby?," Odyn asked in a tone befitting a Gentleman.

Ruby blushed before she nodded and accepted the dark elf's offer.

The two made their way towards the dance floor as Ruby put her hand on Odyn's shoulder with Odyn putting his opposite hand on the small of her back, his other hand gently grasping Ruby's own.

She looked down, embarrassed. She'd never been in this situation before so she didn't know what to do.

"Something wrong, Ruby?," Odyn asked.

"I'm afraid I'm not a very good dancer...," Ruby said.

"That's alright Ruby, just follow my lead then. Just match what I do, okay?," Odyn said encouraging her.

She nodded.

Odyn walked her through the basic steps and before she knew it, Ruby was dancing perfectly in sync with the elf. The two continued to dance before Ruby stopped, needing a break.

"Are you alright, Ruby?," Odyn asked.

She nodded.

"Yeah. My legs are shaking though... I think I may need a break for a bit.," Ruby said.

Odyn smiled at her.

"No worries, Ruby. This is probably your first time genuinely dancing with another person, yes?," Odyn asked.

"Yeah.," Ruby replied.

"That's perfectly alright. These things take time. I'll take a break with you.," Odyn said.

"Are you sure? Some of those other girls look like they could use a partner.," Ruby said.

"They'll find one I'm sure. Besides, you're the one who asked me to come with you. It wasn't any other girl, it was you.," Odyn responded.

Ruby smiled before she pointed to the punch bowl. Odyn understood her intent and he walked with her to the upper level where, the punch bowl was.

Before they got there however, they turned their heads toward the sound of the ballroom doors opening. Ruby smiled at the two arrivals. It was revealed to be Mercury and Emerald with their ballroom best on. Khanna was seen to be walking over as she smiled at the silver haired boy.

"You're just in time!," Ruby said delighted.

"Wouldn't miss this for the world.," Mercury said.

The screen then fades to black.
