Chapter 95: Bad chose of words
Nero walked up to then as she was smiling. "Umu, you did good once again Master of Chaldea".
Ritsuka looked at her as he smiled at her. "Thank you very much".
Nero eyes then meet with Zenobia, as Zenobia eyss meet Nero, as Ritsuka though oh fuck, as then noting happened as the two had no idea who the other was.
Nero looked at Ritsuka. "Umu, she is one of your's".
Ritsuka noded as he spoke. "Yeah she is mine".
Zenobia face went red, as she looked at Ritsuka, as ti took Ritsuka only a few seconds to release what he said. "I mena yeah, she is one my summoned servant".
[ Really host, you could have gotten another girl so early, but you didn't shame on you ]
Ritsuka mentally answers his Harem system. "Shut up".
Nero chuckled at the brief awkward silence between Ritsuka and Zenobia. "Ah, you truly have quite the collection, Master of Chaldea," she teased, her smile growing wider. "It seems you're surrounded by beautiful and powerful women."
Zenobia crossed her arms, her cheeks still flushed from the earlier slip-up. "I-I am not... that way," she stammered, though the faintest blush lingered on her face. Her usually composed demeanor was cracking under Ritsuka's gaze, but she quickly composed herself. "I'm simply here to assist in the battle. Nothing more."
Ritsuka let out a nervous laugh, rubbing the back of his head. "Right, Zenobia is my servant, and nothing more. Just a misunderstanding." He shot a quick look at Nero, who was clearly enjoying the moment. "Don't tease her, Nero. Please."
Nero smirked but obliged, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Very well, Master. But remember, you do have quite a few admirers now."
Zenobia, still flustered, tried to change the subject. "The battle is over, but this war is far from finished. We should focus on the next steps."
Ritsuka nodded, trying to regain his composure after the awkward moment. "You're right, Zenobia. We can't relax just yet. We need to prepare for whatever's next."
As the tension in the air slowly dissipated, Zenobia turned her attention to the battlefield, eyeing the fallen soldiers of the United Roman Empire. "They may have been powerful, but it seems your forces are equally capable. I can feel the presence of other powerful Servants in your army, Master."
Ritsuka nodded, a small smile on his face. "Yes, I've gathered quite a team. Each one of them is invaluable."
Just as the group was beginning to relax, a sudden burst of light flashed from the horizon. Ritsuka's eyes narrowed as he sensed something dangerous approaching. "Looks like we're not done yet. Everyone, prepare yourselves!"
Nero, Zenobia, and the rest of his Servants quickly fell into formation, ready to face whatever new threat emerged. Ritsuka steeled himself, his mind racing. I've been through so much, but I have to stay strong. For everyone, for Chaldea...
Zenobia glanced at him, her face serious now. "I'll fight alongside you, Master. Together, we'll overcome anything."
Ritsuka gave her a grateful smile. "Thanks, Zenobia. Let's do this."
Ritsuka then looked at Zenobia. "So I noticed something, when you used tiru Noble phatasam, you clothes changed to Something more royal like, and you had more clothes, so um".
His eyes looked hee up and down, as she was blushing as he looked at her. "Why are you like this, why are summoned like this".
Zenobia looked at him, as she then spoke. "Do you know about my Story".
Ritsuka tilted his head, curious about her response. "Your story? I know a bit, but not everything. You were the Queen of Palmyra, a powerful and influential leader who defied the Roman Empire. You fought valiantly to protect your people and your kingdom. But..."
Zenobia nodded, a faint smile on her lips. "Yes, but history is not always kind to those who resist. I was betrayed, captured, and paraded as a trophy by the Romans. In life, I was proud, strong, and regal. But in death... perhaps the Throne of Heroes decided to bind me with the chains of my defeat and humiliation." She gestured to the restraints on her arms and legs.
Ritsuka frowned, his expression a mix of concern and anger. "That's cruel. You don't deserve to be represented like this. You were a queen—a warrior who stood up against impossible odds."
Zenobia looked away, her face tinged with embarrassment. "It is as the Throne wills it. Perhaps this form is meant to remind me of my humanity, my fallibility. Or maybe..." She hesitated, her cheeks reddening further. "Maybe it is a test to see if I can reclaim my dignity, even in this... attire."
Ritsuka's gaze softened. "I don't see you as a fallen queen or someone bound by chains. To me, you're still the strong and proud Zenobia who fought for her people. That's what matters."
Her sky-blue eyes met his, and for a moment, the chains around her seemed lighter. She smiled, a mixture of gratitude and amusement. "You have a strange way with words, Master. It's... comforting."
Ritsuka rubbed the back of his neck, trying to shake off his own embarrassment. "Well, if I can help, even a little, that's good enough for me. But still, if there's anything we can do to make you more comfortable..."
Zenobia chuckled softly. "Your offer is kind, but unnecessary. This form doesn't define me, nor does the attire. What defines me is my will—and my loyalty to you, Master."
Ritsuka nodded, a small smile on his face. "Then let's work together to rewrite your story. Not as a queen who fell, but as one who rose again to stand victorious."
Zenobia's smile grew, her resolve evident in her eyes. "Yes, Master. Together, we'll make history."
Ritsuka then looked at her with a smile. "If you must get back your dignity, and then you will get your proper outfit". He then holded her hand. "I will help, unthle then".
He then button his Coast that he gave, her as she looked at her. "Keep weairng this ok".
He smiles which made her heart skip a few bits, as she felt like she saw her husband Odaenathus for a brief second.
Zenobia's cheeks flushed as Ritsuka's warm smile lingered in her mind. The weight of his coat on her shoulders was oddly comforting, a stark contrast to the chains she bore. She glanced down at their joined hands, her resolve hardening as her heart raced.
"I will keep it, Master," she said softly, her voice steady despite the emotions swirling within her. "Until I reclaim my dignity and prove myself once more, I will wear this with pride."
Ritsuka's smile widened, his grip on her hand reassuring. "Good. Remember, you're not alone in this. We'll face everything together."
Zenobia's eyes shimmered as she nodded, feeling a flicker of hope reignite within her. For a fleeting moment, she could have sworn she saw her late husband's face overlapping with Ritsuka's—his determination, his kindness, his unwavering support. It stirred something deep within her, a mixture of nostalgia and newfound resolve.
"Master..." she began, her voice barely above a whisper. "Thank you."
Ritsuka chuckled lightly, stepping back. "No need to thank me, Zenobia. Just focus on being yourself. The rest will fall into place."
As she watched him turn to address the others, Zenobia tightened her grip on the coat around her. For the first time in what felt like an eternity, she felt a spark of hope and the strength to rewrite her story—not as a queen bound by chains but as one supported by those who believed in her.
She glanced at the battlefield ahead, her eyes narrowing with determination. I will prove myself—not just to the world, but to him.
After a while, Kirshtaria just looked at Ritsuka as Ritsuka looked back him.
Kirshtaria just let out a chuckle. "What is with you, so far all the servants you have summons is a female".
Ritsuka blinked, as then he looked at his system.
[ Hey don't look at me, I am harem system that gives Op skill, not a summoning system ]
Ritsuka just looked at Kirshtaria. "You know, I wish I knew why".
Ritsuka scratched the back of his head awkwardly, glancing between Kirshtaria and the sky as if it held the answers. "I mean... it's not like I'm doing it on purpose or anything."
Kirshtaria smirked, crossing his arms. "Oh, really? Because it seems like the universe—or maybe something more mischievous—is conspiring to build your harem for you."
Ritsuka sighed, mentally directing his frustration at the system. Seriously, is this you?
[ Don't blame me, Host. I'm not in charge of summoning mechanics. But hey, isn't it working out for you? Strong servants and beautiful companions? Win-win! ]
Ritsuka groaned inwardly. You're impossible.
Turning his attention back to Kirshtaria, he shrugged. "Honestly, I'd appreciate a bit more variety in the roster. I wouldn't mind summoning a skilled male warrior or even someone like Achilles to balance things out."
Kirshtaria raised an eyebrow, amused. "Sure, sure. But with your luck, I'd bet even Achilles would show up gender-swapped."
Ritsuka blinked, considering the possibility for a moment before shaking his head vehemently. "Nope. Don't even joke about that."
Mash, standing nearby, couldn't help but stifle a laugh. "Senpai, maybe it's not about who you summon, but how well you connect with them. And so far, you've done a remarkable job."
Zenobia, overhearing the conversation, adjusted the coat Ritsuka had given her and smiled faintly. "He has a way of making us feel valued, doesn't he?"
Kirshtaria chuckled. "Oh, I'm sure he does. Just don't let it get to his head."
Ritsuka threw up his hands in mock exasperation. "You guys are impossible! I summon powerful allies, and all I get are comments about my supposed harem-building skills."
As the group shared a lighthearted laugh, Ritsuka couldn't help but think about the peculiar pattern. Maybe the universe really is conspiring... or maybe I'm just that unlucky—or lucky, depending on how you look at it.
Morgan then looked at Ritsuka. "Husband, what do we do about him".
Ritsuka then looked at Caesar who was chained but my Magical Chains created by Morgan, being graded by Jalter who was ready to kill as Ritsuka looked at Nero.
Ritsuka just looked at Nero as he spoke. "I will let her decidel, kill him for all I care, he is already dead I will let her deal with his descended".
Nero just looked at him as she looked at him her emerald green eyes meeting his. "Umu, kill him I gess he is just a servant from the throne of hero so he is already alive".
Ritsuka nodded at Nero's decision. "Alright, Nero. If that is what you want, then so be it."
Jalter grinned wickedly, gripping her blade tightly. "Finally, something fun. I'll make it quick... or maybe I won't."
Caesar, despite his situation, managed to smirk. "Do as you wish, Master of Chaldea. My story is already written, and my legacy will remain untarnished."
Ritsuka sighed, glancing at Jalter. "Just finish it without unnecessary theatrics. We're not here to prolong suffering."
Jalter rolled her eyes but nodded, her blade gleaming with dark energy. With a swift motion, she struck Caesar, his form dissipating into golden particles as he returned to the Throne of Heroes.
Nero crossed her arms, her expression firm yet solemn. "Umu, it is done. Let this be a lesson to those who dare oppose Rome."
Ritsuka looked at the chains that once bound Caesar, now lying empty. He turned to Morgan and Jalter. "Good work. But we need to stay focused—this war isn't over yet."
Zenobia, standing nearby, watched the scene unfold with a mixture of relief and unease. She tightened the coat Ritsuka had given her around her shoulders. "Master, what lies ahead for us? Will we face more of Rome's enemies, or is this just the beginning?"
Ritsuka placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Whatever comes next, we'll face it together. For now, let's regroup and prepare. This was just a battle, not the war."
Zenobia nodded, though there was a hint of uncertainty in her eyes. "I trust you, Master. I will fight alongside you, no matter what comes."
Ritsuka gave her a soft smile. "That's all I need to hear. We're in this together."
The group stood in a brief silence, taking in the aftermath of the battle. The battlefield was quiet now, with the remains of the once-feared Caesar scattered into the ether. However, the tension in the air was still palpable. The war was far from over, and the road ahead would be filled with challenges.
Morgan stretched, her muscles still burning from the battle. "Ugh, that was satisfying. But it feels like there's something bigger coming. Like this isn't the end."
Ritsuka nodded, already thinking ahead. "You're right, Morgan. We might have defeated Caesar, but there are still powerful enemies out there. We need to prepare for the worst."
He turned to Kirshtaria, who had been silently observing the aftermath. "Kirshtaria, what do you think? Do you have any insight into the situation?"
Kirshtaria's sharp eyes met Ritsuka's. "This is just the beginning. The forces against you are not just random warriors or Servants. There's a larger, more coordinated force working behind the scenes. You must be ready for what they have planned. And I suggest you be wary of your own power—it seems to be growing rapidly. What might seem like an advantage now could turn into a curse if you are not careful."
Ritsuka frowned, his concern growing. "Are you saying that there's something more dangerous than what we've already faced? Something worse than Caesar?"
"Indeed," Kirshtaria said, his voice laced with concern. "You have no idea what you're dealing with. The enemies in this war are not simply trying to win—they're trying to unravel everything. They know your weaknesses, and they will exploit them."
Ritsuka felt a shiver run down his spine. "Then we have no choice but to prepare, and not just in strength. We need to be strategic—know where they're coming from and how to strike back."
"Exactly," Kirshtaria replied. "And you will need allies. Don't face this alone. You must gather your forces and trust in those around you."
Ritsuka nodded firmly, turning his gaze to his team. "Alright, everyone. You heard Kirshtaria. We won't face this alone. We'll gather our forces, and we'll strike back. Together."
The group, now more united than ever, stood tall. Ritsuka knew the road ahead would be long and filled with danger, but with his harem of powerful servants, his allies, and his own resolve, he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
"Let's prepare for what's coming," Ritsuka said, his voice unwavering. "We're not backing down. Not now. Not ever."
With that, the team set off, ready to face the next battle. The war was far from over, but Ritsuka had one thing that no enemy could ever take from him: his determination to protect those he loved and to fight for a future where they could all live in peace.
