Fated To The Billionaire Alpha

Chapter 14: 14

AMAYA'S POV

My head felt funny as well as my stomach as I struggled to open my eyes. I moaned when my eyelids parted only for me to close it back when bright light blinded me. I groaned when my head ached hard, followed by my throat feeling like I had swallowed sand. I was thirsty, weak and restless. I was also feeling nauseous which made my stomach feel funny, followed by the need to throw up.

I willed myself to open my eyes once again and this time, the light did not hurt. With my vision clear, I saw I was laying on a large bed in a room that looked like it cost millions to design. Every corner and item in the room screamed dark luxury with red drapes and couches being the only bright color in the room. It felt like I was in an expensive hell. Something was off about this place. It looked nothing like any familiar place I knew, and it left me more restless than before.

"Where am I?" I sat up and took in my surroundings more.

This was not my room. This was not even the hospital I remember being in before whatever happened. Did something happen? The last thing I remembered was being in a hospital and not some expensive room. Had I been trafficked? I've heard tales of girls in the industry I was in getting kidnapped and trafficked across the world. Fear filled me as my thoughts began to feel like the answer to the position I was in. The only person I had been with before passing out had been the doctor.

"Hello?" I called out in a shaky voice. "D-Doctor Andrew?"

This place was strange. Something about the environment felt different. I needed to find out where I was and how I got here because it looked nothing like a hospital. With that in mind, I moved to the edge of the big bed and got out of it. My legs wobbled for a second, almost making me fall to the cold floor before I steadied myself. I took a deep breath then took several steps forward before I began to move around the room. The first thing I needed to find was my phone, so I searched around the room for it and anything that seemed to belong to me but found nothing. The room was simply foreign and out of place.

I was beginning to feel agitated and jittery. I was scared as I didn't know what the doctor had done to me or where I was. Was I even still in America or some country, far away from home.

"Where the hell am I?" I whispered to myself and looked at the window. I needed to see if I could recognize whatever was outside.

As I made a move toward the window, my ears perked up when I heard the soft sound of a door opening. I turned my head in the direction of the voice and gasped at the person standing at the door. It cannot be.

Across from me stood the man I have been looking for.

"I see you're awake," he said in a voice that was heavy with danger as he slowly approached me.

I stared at him with wide eyes. Something dark and dangerous was in his eyes and in the way he walked. The man before me was not staring at me like the man who had slept with me or the man who gave me so much pleasure. He was looking at me like I was something evil, disgusting or unpleasant. There was also a darkness that surrounded him, which made me weak in the knees. For the first time, I was afraid of him.

I feared the man before me, and I could smell death in the air.

"You… Maxim?" I needed to be sure he was the one. The man who got me pregnant, the one who ignored me despite the fear inside of me. At least I needed answers before anything else happened.

He scoffed and took more steps toward me while I took some steps back. Something about him was not welcoming.

"Now that I have you in my sight," he said in a low and more danger-filled voice. "You will begin to regret ever having a life."
