Chapter 10: 10
AMAYA'S POV
After my dance on stage, I dragged myself back to the dressing room and sulked. He had not come tonight. I felt like a desperate fool tonight. I had issues on ground and all I cared about was if he was here tonight, watching me. But I could not blame myself. Something about him drew me in. After what happened and if he was the one they were looking for, I should run like any other person with a thinking brain, but I just couldn't.
"I am surprised you came today."
I rolled my eyes at the sound of the voice and started on taking off my makeup. I was not in the mood to entertain Cherry. All I wanted was to go home, find something to eat and to drink then rest. Somehow, I was craving extra rare steak, and I hated undercooked meat, but the urge was strong, and Cherry was not helping matters.
"What? I see you have a sad face… Did your customer not call for you today?" She laughed.
A wave of anger shot through me. I clenched my hands to keep myself from saying or maybe, punching her face. I needed to ignore her and not let her words get to me because right now, I felt like doing something I may regret doing for the rest of my life. I didn't know what, but I felt it at the tip of my tongue. Besides, it was also against the rules to fight in the club.
"Leave me alone, Cherry," I said and went back to wiping my makeup off.
Cherry huffed. "He must have really dumped you… Well, that is what you get for thinking you can waltz in here to gain control."
I took a deep breath and heard her laugh before looking at her in the mirror. She had a deadly look in her eyes and after what happened with Light, I was not sure of who was who. The look in her eyes was enough to kill if it could. I could not trust anyone when I was literally kidnapped.
"Stay in your lane or better still, disappear," Cherry said and walked off.
I sighed, feeling relieved that she had left. I stared at my reflection, taking in every feature of my face. My eyes were dull with bags underneath it. My skin tone was pale. I looked sick and it was all because of the mysterious baby I was carrying.
I moved my gaze to my bag sitting close to the edge of my vanity table. Inside of it was the sonogram of the baby that I refused to look at. After what happened to me, I was more scared for my life than ever. The sudden pregnancy I had told nobody about, was known by these people who could transform into wolves and second of all, I was allegedly carrying their rival's child.
I was stuck between aborting the baby or running far away from here. Away from this town which held so many secrets. I was scared for my life and that of my unborn child. Which led to my decision.
If I could not meet and speak to Maxim, it would be the end of the line for me. I was going to run far away.
