Chapter 46: Travel in the starry sky 2
Shikama Doji sighed and thought to himself, "Forget it, I'm not strong enough to comprehend such things. If beings like this truly exist, even the Almighty God might just be a puppet in their hands. The only thing I can do now is to grow stronger as I always have."
Shikama Doji continued to move at an even faster pace, but suddenly, something strange happened. In the void, bizarre waves began to ripple. A space as large as a planet was torn apart, and black, slimy tentacles emerged from it. Each tentacle was covered with countless eyes, as if a creature from the depths of nightmares had stepped into reality. More space was torn apart, revealing half of the creature's body. It resembled a colossal octopus, but with eyes that could each independently observe everything.
When Shikama Doji looked at this creature, he sighed again. This was an Outer God. It had likely been attracted by the energy radiating from Shikama Doji. However, based on the energy he sensed from this creature, it didn't seem to be a high-ranking Outer God. It was more like a gluttonous, insane being that had come to feed. But it seemed that Shikama Doji had been chosen as its meal.
The Outer God stared at Shikama Doji with its countless eyes. Shikama Doji coldly returned its gaze, and suddenly, a golden scythe appeared in his hand. He flapped his wings and, at the speed of light, positioned himself in front of one of the Outer God's tentacles. With a swift motion, he severed a tentacle that was a hundred kilometers thick. The Outer God let out a scream and glared at Shikama Doji with eyes full of hatred and madness. From one of the mouths on its body, a purple beam shot out, capable of destroying an entire planet. But Shikama Doji easily dodged it.
Their battle turned an area spanning a hundred light-years into a war zone. A space larger than 946 trillion kilometers, bigger than the solar system, was affected by their clash. Space-time, cause and effect, order, and everything related to reality were distorted in this region. It was as if the fabric of reality was being warped. Multiple supermassive black holes formed, and matter began to collapse. The Outer God fired beams with the power of a supernova, but none of them harmed Shikama Doji. It even attempted to corrupt him, but to no avail.
Suddenly, thousands of intricate magical circles formed around the Outer God, and golden beams of light shot out from them. Each of these beams had the power to destroy a planet. Shikama Doji frowned. The magical energy he was using was even greater than what was needed to create hundreds of small worlds. By utilizing his own spells and the knowledge he had gained from the Third Magic , he had created a stellar core within his body that provided him with nearly infinite energy. But even this was only a weak imitation compared to the true Third Magic.
Shikama Doji stared at the Outer God. This creature seemed to possess infinite energy. It was consuming energy hundreds of times faster than Shikama Doji, yet it showed no signs of fatigue. Shikama Doji knew that if this battle dragged on, the Outer God would win in a war of attrition.
"Ah, great Heavenly Father, grant your angel power against evil," Shikama Doji solemnly began to pray. Suddenly, a golden light enveloped him, as if the entire void had been illuminated. The Outer God attacked Shikama Doji with its tentacles, but once again, it was futile. The Almighty God had turned His gaze to this place. Shikama Doji's power increased miraculously. By borrowing divine power, his strength surpassed that of the Outer God. Shikama Doji coldly stared at the Outer God, and suddenly, all of its tentacles were severed.
Just as Shikama Doji was about to deliver the final blow, the Outer God fled. Shikama Doji wasn't surprised. This creature existed in higher dimensions, and if there was one thing it excelled at, it was manipulating space-time. Shikama Doji decided that if he ever encountered this Outer God again, he would tear it apart. With a deep frown, he cleansed all the corruption and filth that the Outer God had brought. Now, it was time to return to Earth. After thousands of years of traveling through the starry sky, the time to return had come. The Age of Gods had ended, and the Age of Humans had begun.
