Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Return to Dream World
Qin Chuan quickly installed the Dream Realm Forum app and took a look.
The forum had many pinned posts, but there was not much deviation from the content preached by Zhou Zixiu. There were many new posts, but most of them were meaningless content like "requesting familiarity."
After scanning a few times, he quickly put down his phone.
To obtain meaningful content from the forum, one had to let "the bullet fly a little longer."
Compared to the forum, the Wilderness Survival Guide was more useful.
Qin Chuan opened the first page and read with great interest.
The chubby kid at the next desk flipped through the forum, his expression getting more and more excited. He turned his head, wanting to discuss with Qin Chuan, but stopped short when he saw Qin Chuan's serious reading demeanor. Then he silently put down his phone and opened the Wilderness Survival Guide as well.
Even with the existence of the Dream World, the real world still had to function normally.
After confirming that the Dream World wouldn't cause too much harm to reality, the senior year curriculum went on as usual.
However, clearly, the classmates no longer had the mind to listen to lectures.
They either hid their phones under the opened textbooks to browse Dream Realm Forum information or carefully studied the Wilderness Survival Guide sandwiched between pages of the textbooks.
The teachers on the podium overlooked the classroom from their vantage point, and every move of the students was under their watch. But the teachers, who were usually strict, today had tacitly decided to turn a blind eye.
After all, they empathized with the students and were eager to finish classes and do the same thing in their offices.
The school day ended quickly, with teachers and students each harboring their own thoughts.
Back at home, Qin Chuan had a simple dinner and picked up the Wilderness Survival Guide again.
Indeed, the guide was full of practical information. He had been reading it all day and had digested less than a tenth of its content.
How to find a safe water source, how to build a shelter by hand without tools, how to hide one's scent as much as possible while moving in the wilderness, how to understand the surrounding wildlife through the tiniest of clues...
These wilderness survival skills based on the real world might not be entirely applicable in the Dream World, but at least 80% of them were helpful to his current situation.
From this, one could see the painstaking efforts of the Special Affairs Group.
It wasn't until the 11 p.m. alarm set on his phone rang that Qin Chuan reluctantly put down the guide. He picked up his phone, browsed through the forum to make sure he hadn't missed any important messages, and then placed it on the bedside table.
He turned off the light and went to sleep.

"Hiss..."
As consciousness returned to his body, Qin Chuan couldn't help but inhale sharply.
His healthy physical condition in reality almost made him forget that in the Dream World, his injuries had not yet healed.
Fortunately, with a day's worth of wilderness survival study, Qin Chuan wasn't about to just lie down and wait to die.
He quickly tested the pain and mobility of various parts of his body and finally determined that his injuries weren't serious.
Most of the external injuries were abrasions, and the bleeding had already stopped. There were a few possible fractures, but no breaks.
His organs might have been shaken during the previous falls, but there was no internal bleeding or life-threatening condition; rest would naturally heal him.
He found a relatively hidden spot within a hundred meters and limped over, then sat down grimacing in pain.
It was a pity he hadn't found any of the medicinal herbs mentioned in the guide nearby. Due to the differences between the Dream World and reality, that part of the content probably couldn't be used.
Next, he had to wait for his injuries to heal slightly and for him to be viable before planning his next move.
Or perhaps... encounter a fierce Spiritual Beast and have to restart by deleting his account?
Wait a minute! Maybe that would be even faster!
After all, with ligaments and bones injured, it takes a hundred days to recover—where can one find the speed of starting all over again?
Thinking of this, Qin Chuan's gaze glanced at the large rock beside him.
He was considering the possibility of smashing himself to death against it.
Just at that moment, a faint sound drew Qin Chuan's attention back.
Qin Chuan turned his head to look and immediately his eyes showed a startled expression.
He saw a familiar water-blue figure approaching rapidly.
It was the Water Leaf Dog that had left earlier.
In an instant, a touch of surprise surged in Qin Chuan's heart.
As the Water Leaf Dog drew near, Qin Chuan quickly noticed it had something in its mouth.
"Woof!"
The Water Leaf Dog trotted up to Qin Chuan, placed the thing it had been carrying in its mouth on the ground, and joyfully wagged its tail.
Only then did Qin Chuan see clearly—it was some unfamiliar herbs and two fruits.
"So, you left just now to find these?" Qin Chuan said, a few more hints of realization and guilt in his eyes.
It seemed he had misunderstood the Water Leaf Dog.
"Woof!"
The Water Leaf Dog nodded its head and then picked up one of the fruits again, placing it into Qin Chuan's hand.
"Can this be eaten?" Qin Chuan asked cautiously as he looked at the fruit in his hand.
"Woof!"
With the Water Leaf Dog's affirmative response, Qin Chuan wiped the dirt off the fruit and stuffed it into his mouth.
In the Dream World, his body also needed food and water; he had indeed planned to look for and try some once his body regained the ability to move.
Gently biting through the skin, sweet juice erupted from the fruit, flowing down his throat into his stomach, easing Qin Chuan's craving for water. The sugar content also lifted Qin Chuan's spirits somewhat.
But what was even more astonishing was that, after a brief period of digestion, Qin Chuan felt a warm energy surge from his stomach to his limbs, alleviating the pain throughout his body at a visibly fast pace.
Could this fruit heal wounds?!
A look of joy immediately swept across his face as he turned to the other fruit on the ground as if it were a treasure.
Then, the Water Leaf Dog's actions caught Qin Chuan's attention.
It controlled a stream of water, engulfing the herbs it had just brought back, forming a water ball the size of a head in the air.
The water ball rotated rapidly, like a blender, extracting the essence from the herbs, turning the clear water into a deep green color.
Then, under the Water Leaf Dog's control, the water enveloped each of Qin Chuan's wounds.
Qin Chuan did not resist. He sat quietly, cooperating with the Water Leaf Dog's actions, a few more moments of realization crossing his mind.
No wonder when he had checked his body, he always found his wounds clean and his skin not too dirty.
It was likely that while he had been unconscious, the Water Leaf Dog had already used a similar method to perform a simple wound cleaning on him.
A cool and refreshing sensation came from the wounds, and after a few breaths, the green liquid's color turned murkier, while the abrasions on Qin Chuan's body had completely healed, leaving no scars at all.
If such magical herbs existed in reality, people would fight tooth and nail for them, but in the Dream World, the Water Leaf Dog had found them without much effort.
This was probably the allure of being Transcendent.
