Fate: Gremory [Remake] (ENG)

Chapter 1: Prologue

Prologue

Rias Gremory, a little 12-year-old girl, was walking lost in the streets of Japan.

It ended up losing the guards who guarded it. And the weather had taken a turn for the worse.

The heavy rain had fallen more than ten minutes ago.

Not having an umbrella to protect him from the rain, she ended up arriving at a dark alley waiting for the demons guarding her exit from the underworld.

As she thought about how long it would take the demons who had arrived with her, a sudden shadow obstructed her thoughts.

"¿…?"

Rias was confused by this person.

Looking at how tall he was and the appearance of a high school boy, she meditated on the handsome and perfect profile of his body and face, he looked like that of a demon like her.

Hair as white as the moonshine, and eyes as red as blood.

He was the living example of an 'Ikemen' that he has always seen in the mangas she consumed.

"Are you lost?"

He asked her in a gentle voice.

"Yes..."

Rias nodded as she hugged her knees.

The boy holding the umbrella knelt down to have the same height as Rias crouched on the asphalt.

"Do you need help?"

Rias pondered her thoughts of whether to accept the help or not. After all, she didn't know this person, and she couldn't read thoughts to find out his intentions.

Being a demon, she had the advantage of the situation.

"Yes, I need to look for my guardians who came with me."

Rias, accepting the 'kindness' of the subject, got up from the asphalt to try to look for the magic signature of the two women who arrived with her.

"I see." The boy replied, walking next to Rias while holding the umbrella to protect her from the rain. "I guess you have a way of looking for them."

"Yes, but the rain is obstructing my senses to find them. If there's luck, it won't take long."

"Good."

Rias led the way, passing through several streets without any luck finding the two demon women.

"Rias-sama!"

Rias' ears were raised when she heard the familiar cry of the maids.

"Evelyn! Mary!"

Rias smiling with happiness, looked at the maids arriving down the street she had passed a few seconds ago.

The demon women wearing their maid costume. They arrived at Rias being accompanied by a handsome young man.

"Thank you so much for taking care of Rias-sama!"

The beautiful demon woman with brown hair and eyes smiled from ear to ear towards the young man.

"Don't worry, it was a coincidence to meet her. It seemed that she needed help, the only thing I did was accompany her in her search."

"But thank you anyway!"

They made a small bow, the young man looking with an expressionless face only nodded for her to finish the bows towards him.

"Rias-sama, it's time to go home!"

"Yes, thanks for the help..." Rias personally thanked the young man without knowing his name. "Can you tell me your name?"

I raise an eyebrow. "My name is Sengo, although there is also someone who calls me 'Senji-chan.' Hehe, though I prefer to be called 'Sengo', Ojou-chan."

Rias looked at the perfect example of an 'ikemen' in front of her eyes giving a smile that would delight women.

"Thank you very much, Sengo... Sengo-tan? I think that honorific is not appropriate... I should keep reading more manga."

"You don't need honorifics with me. I can easily call you, Rias. That way we leave the formalities."

"Good..." Rias brought her index finger to her chin thoughtfully. "I guess that's fine."

Rias made a small turn to leave with the maids who followed behind her with an umbrella protecting her from the rain.

"If we're lucky, we'll meet again, Sengo."

Rias with a smile from ear to ear said goodbye to Sengo with her hand raised as if it were a manga saying goodbye to her childhood friend.

"That girl should stop reading manga." It was Sengo's thought seeing her one last time before turning right and disappearing from his sight.

Sengo began to walk in another direction, enjoying the sound of the rain falling on his umbrella as well as on the asphalt.

On his walk he observed people protecting themselves from the rain with an umbrella, cars crossing the streets and then losing sight of him, birds doing everything possible to protect their young from the torrential rain.

As he walked, the presence of someone behind him caused him to stop.

"I had thought you were Saigou Izayoi. But seeing that you're not her, I guess she's still waiting in the abandoned shrine."

Taking a small turn, I take a good look at the person who had reached it.

"The magic signature looks familiar to me, but it's not her... so you would politely reply, who are you, little girl?"

Kuoh City

Within Kuoh City, a child with crimson hair and violet eyes was looking out of the window of the building at the torrential rain that had suddenly fallen.

"What you ended up discovering is something dangerous, Cleria."

He turned his gaze from the window to the woman sitting at her desk with various papers on the table.

"The [King's Pieces] will be to blame for your death. Even if you try to reveal that in the underworld, you're sure to be executed before you achieve that."

"I know, Alexander." Cleria Belial, is a beautiful woman with gray hair and eyes. Being an upper-class demon just like the child sitting at the window.

"I would recommend burning all the evidence for your own good. The only thing you can do is act like a naïve person that you never figured that out."

"But..." Cleria held her breath. "The underworld must know this about the [Rating Games] and the [King's Pieces], it's the greatest corruption controlled by the top 10 and demons of high office within the underworld."

Cleria looked intently at the boy.

"For that reason you must eliminate all evidence. It will be dangerous for you and your beloved, Masaomi Yaegaki."

"What...!"

Cleria quickly covered her mouth.

"That was easy to discover, and I'm sure they know it too."

Alexander hunched his back and stared intently at Cleria where his violet eyes shone.

"You better stop, Cleria. One wrong step and it will be your end with the man you love. A taboo relationship of a demon and a human in the church can easily be used to divert attention and continue to hide the truth from corruption."

"Tch!" Cleria annoyed joke. "Damn malevolent race!"

"We are demons, Cleria. Don't expect the other demons to be benevolent."

Alexander rose from the window.

"You must choose a choice, to continue living or to die with your beloved."

A portal opened in front of Alexander who ended up entering and disappearing from Cleria Belial's office.

"Damn!"

She ended up tapping the table with her palms. She looked at the papers with the evidence collected from several years.

It was hard work that I had done. But as dangerous as the situation was, she could only choose one option.

I grab the papers and organize it and then sell it to a bucket.

"I also want to live a happy life with the person I love."

On the right palm appeared a small circle with patterns where a tear of fire emerged that reached the papers and extinguished the evidence in ashes.

"It's the right decision."

Resting her elbows on the table, she brought her jaw over her clasped hands. The fire lit up Cleria's face, who was hurt by what she did.

I wanted to reveal the truth, but to do that... it will be their downfall.

The other desire she always had will follow, to have a family with the man she loved.

Whatever has to do with the truth must be kept secret for her own sake and Masaomi's.

In the Underworld, an expectant silence enveloped a group of female demons, all staring at someone.

"Esdeath-sama? Are you really sure you want to do that with your precious hair?" one of them asked in a trembling voice.

"Won't we be punished for doing so?" whispered another.

"I hope Leviathan-sama doesn't get angry with us..." added a third, nervously.

In front of them, sitting comfortably in a reclining chair, was a young teenage girl of noble lineage. She was the daughter of Serafall Leviathan, known in the Underworld from birth as Akane Leviathan, though she recently named herself Esdeath Leviathan.

And at this very moment, Esdeath was making a decision that surprised everyone. She had decided to change her signature black hair to a light blue shade!

"Do you know the meaning of my previous name?" asked Esdeath, with an intriguing calm.

"Huh?" The demon women exchanged glances, confused, until one dared to answer. "The name 'Akane' in Japanese means 'bright' or 'red'. Leviathan-sama gave it to him on the day of her birth, in honor of the glow in her red eyes, Esdeath-sama."

"I don't mean the meaning of 'Akane,'" Esdeath clarified, with a slight smile. "I'm talking about the reason why I have a name of Japanese origin."

"Oh? If it comes down to that... we can't help her, Esdeath-sama. But supposedly, maybe it's because of the man Leviathan-sama fell in love with, someone of Japanese origin."

"Exactly," Esdeath confirmed, letting her words echo for a moment in the air. "I've ended up talking to my mother about who was that man who brought her into the world."

Curiosity about her father had arisen in her only the night before.

Serafall animatedly spoke of him.

"So, you want to hear from Senji-chan!"

Esdeath raised an eyebrow at the childish way of being named by the man who is supposed to be her father.

"Senji-chan is a bit weird!" She saw her mother smile nostalgically, it seemed that she was remembering that person at this moment. "Senji-chan didn't love me the same way I did! The only thing that seemed to attract him to me was my black hair." Serafall let out a soft laugh, as a dreamy glow crossed her face. "So, yes, Senji-chan is a black hair fetishist!"

When she finished speaking, she winked his right eye with her index finger pointing to the air with an imaginary star that appeared in the wink.

Esdeath frowned, feeling a mixture of discomfort and disapproval at the ridiculous way her mother had described this person she had never met. Was that her father? A man Serafall still called "Senji-chan" and who, apparently, had only shown interest in the color of her hair. The idea seemed absurd, even annoying.

So, almost without hesitation, she made a decision. She decided to dye her own a completely opposite color: a vibrant light blue that, once and for all, would erase the connection with that image that was just beginning to form of her father.

Esdeath arrived at the Gremory home with the intention of meeting Alexander, whom she was personally training. However, they received her with unexpected news.

"Alexander-sama and Rias-sama are in the outside world, in Japan," one of the servants reported, unaware of the slight twitch that appeared on Esdeath's temples.

With no other choice, she decided to go to Japan as well. Perhaps you could surprise them and, incidentally, enjoy a visit outside the Underworld. To her surprise, after her arrival, fate led her to cross paths with Rias, who was escorted by two servants of the Gremory family. From a street corner, Esdeath discreetly watched her friend... and the person in front of her.

The young man had white hair, bright as the moon, and blood-deep red eyes. Intrigued, Esdeath remained in her hiding place, attentive to the conversation.

"My name is Sengo," the young man said, with an amused smile. "Although there is also someone who calls me 'Senji-chan.' Hehe, though I prefer to be called 'Sengo', Ojou-chan."

Esdeath's heart skipped a little. That nickname—Senji-chan. Her mother's words from the night before came back with a vengeance. Unintentionally, Esdeath found herself listening to the man who, until recently, was just a name in a distant story.

Esdeath carefully followed Sengo, keeping her presence hidden as she watched his every move. However, an impulse led her to finally reveal her presence, tired of hiding. Noticing that he stopped, Sengo spoke without turning around completely.

"I had thought you were Saigou Izayoi. But seeing that you're not her, I guess she's still waiting in the abandoned shrine."

With a slight twist, Sengo looked directly at Esdeath. His red eyes swept over her figure with a mixture of curiosity and something deeper that she could not decipher.

"The magic signature looks familiar, but you're not it..." he said, his words imbued with a dangerous calm. "So you would politely reply, Who are you, little girl?"

Esdeath lifted her chin, her eyes shining with defiant intensity. Without hesitation, she held her gaze, letting the magic in the air intensify with her mere presence.

"My name is Esdeath Leviathan. Daughter of Serafall Leviathan."

Upon revealing her identity, Esdeath's red eyes slowly changed to an icy blue hue, reflecting the purity achieved in her ice magic. The transformation caught Sengo's attention immediately; A faint smile appeared on his face as he processed the revelation.

"Oh?" he murmured, a hint of irony in his voice. "Have you come to receive some brotherly love from me? I'm sorry, but I have no interest in doing such a thing... even if you were my daughter."

Sengo paused, his eyes flashing with a mixture of recognition and calculated disinterest. "Come to think of it, I have another daughter in this world."

The words fell heavy in the air, and Esdeath felt a strange mixture of emotions. In the face of his newfound father's blatant rejection, her gaze hardened, the cold of her power intensifying. But Sengo looked unperturbed, keeping his smile calm, as if he had just discussed something trivial.

Boredom began to reflect in Sengo's expression, and he let out a sigh. Irritated, Esdeath threw a direct question at her.

"What is your real name?" she demanded, her voice filled with contained disdain.

Sengo cracked a half-smile before answering, with an unnerving calm. "Senji Muramasa... but call me Sengo." With that, without giving him time to react, he disappeared from her sight.

An instant later, Sengo reappeared in an abandoned shrine, where the atmosphere was silent and mysterious. In the center, sitting on a stone bench, a golden-haired, violet-eyed girl looked up at the sight of him.

"You finally appeared, Mr. Fossil," the girl remarked, with a sly smile and a tone that combined jest and reproach.

Sengo let out a slight laugh. "Let's continue the journey, Izayoi," he replied, with a touch of playful disdain.

Esdeath returned to the Underworld (to the Gremory home), feeling that the encounter with Sengo had left more questions than answers. Upon arrival, she met Alexander Gremory, who was wearing a katana at his waist that caught her attention immediately.

"Will you allow me to see the katana?" she asked, her voice serene, but with an undercurrent of curiosity.

Alexander (shocked by the sudden change of dye in Esdeath's hair), without questioning her motives, nodded and offered him the katana. Esdeath took it, feeling the weight and energy emanating from the blade. Upon examination, her eyes fell on a signature near the hilt: Muramasa.

(What's going on in that guy's mind?) Esdeath thought, analyzing the situation. The katana with that man's signature left questions in her head. Her mind was working at full speed, connecting the dots. How had this katana ended up in Alexander's possession?

Esdeath's mind wandered between confusion and unease, wondering if there was more to this story than it seemed at first glance.

❅────✧❃✧────❅•

I think the time has come to make the remake of this story.

Now Rias Gremory's brother will be called Alexander Gremory, but in the human world he will change his name to Mikoto Tanaka (or maybe he will have another surname when he is in the human world) to hide his true identity.

Crossover: DxD, Fate, and Mondaiji.
