Chapter 43: Chapter 43: Departure and Arrival

Rhett nodded, not one to refuse. The feathers of the Fire Feather Eagle had various uses. Even if they weren't used for alchemical crafting, they could be sewn by tailors into hats, undergarments, and other clothing, providing excellent insulation, particularly suitable for winter wear.

Under the admiring gazes of the knights, Rhett and Garret returned to the fortress. When Rhett finally received the two bottles of Moonshine Potion, it marked the successful conclusion of their stay in Dam Town as the first stop of the merchant convoy's journey.

Not only had the exchange of magical plant seeds gone smoothly, but through the Fire Feather Eagle incident, Rhett also obtained a precious magical beast egg, fulfilling his expectations.

Later that morning, after a brief rest and lunch at the castle, Rhett bid farewell to Garret.

"Garret, as much as I'd love to stay longer, we must continue our journey to the next stop," Rhett said.

Garret stood up, surprised. "Leaving so soon?"

After a brief pause, he sighed. "Well, fortunately, our territories are not far apart. I believe we'll see each other often in the future. So, I won't hold you back."

Rhett shrugged, and with Garret seeing him off, they made their way to the estate's entrance. Rhett took the reins from a servant and mounted his gray horse. Looking at Garret, who was still waving goodbye, and standing beside him, Klina in her white dress and the old butler, Rhett adjusted his hat against the wind and smiled. "Until next time, my friend. Our next meeting will be even more exciting!"

Garret waved back, "Safe travels, my friend!"

Reilly exchanged a long gaze with Klina, both smiling in silent understanding. Meanwhile, Tack, gripping his reins with excitement, urged his horse forward, his entire demeanor matching the horse's enthusiasm.

The convoy set off, the rhythmic sound of hooves filling the air. Reilly, riding alongside the convoy, couldn't resist looking back one last time. Klina remained standing in the same spot, her white dress fluttering in the wind. Smiling to himself, Reilly adjusted his grip on the reins and gently squeezed the perfume bottle in his hand, his thoughts drifting as he stared ahead.

The convoy from Eagle Town gradually disappeared into the distance. The wheels of the carts rolled on, carrying with them the memories of this journey, as they continued forward.

Time passed swiftly. Over the next ten days, the convoy passed through two other territories, where they briefly exchanged magical plant seeds and moved on without any significant incidents.

Finally, on December 21st, the convoy arrived safely in Twilight City.

The towering city walls, standing over twenty meters high, loomed over the vast landscape, encompassing an area of tens of thousands of miles. As the largest and most prosperous city on the southwestern border of the Kingdom of Gillon, Twilight City was an impressive sight.

Looking at the thick city walls before him, memories surfaced in Rhett's mind. Twilight City was not unfamiliar to him. Over a decade ago, before he went to the Gorge Front, he frequently visited this city. Whether as an adventurer seeking supplies before a journey or selling the spoils of his adventures, Twilight City had always been a place to secure the best deals.

The relatively peaceful southwestern border of the Kingdom of Gillon, under the protection of the Branwen family, made Twilight City the most influential and attractive city in the region.

"It's been over ten years since I last came to Twilight City," Rhett mused, even he couldn't help but feel nostalgic.

"Father, perhaps you'll meet some of your old friends from a decade ago," Reilly teased.

"Maybe," Rhett chuckled, though he didn't hold out much hope.

Instead, a particular place from his memories caught his interest—a place called the Adventurer's Cave.

It wasn't a real cave, but the name of a shop. Similar to a blind box concept from his past life, one could pay a certain amount for the chance to "open a box," with the final contents entirely dependent on luck.

The Adventurer's Cave was a well-known establishment in Twilight City, owned by Julia Branwen, the third daughter of Earl Branwen. As such, no one dared to cause trouble there.

Of course, everyone knew that the rules and prize placements were controlled by the shop, ensuring that most participants wouldn't see a return on their investment. The principle was simple—the total value of each batch of prizes was always lower than the sale price.

Despite this obvious fact, many people still flocked to it—some because they were genuine gamblers, and others simply for the thrill of it.

Rhett's eyes glimmered with interest. In the past, he had little interest in such places. But now, with the right use of Real Simulations, it seemed like there was potential…

Leading the convoy into Twilight City, Rhett focused on the first order of business—exchanging seeds. This task was vital to the long-term development of the territory and couldn't be neglected.

For a city as large as Twilight, trading their mid-level magical plant seeds wasn't a difficult task. Without any hiccups, the primary objective of their trip to Twilight City was completed within an hour, thanks to the help of several merchants.

After that, Rhett directed the convoy toward another destination. As they made their way through the bustling streets, filled with a variety of people and vehicles, Rhett pondered. If his memory served him right, the Adventurer's Cave was just a few turns ahead.

"Father, what's next?" Tack asked, his mouth full of freshly bought skewers, his words muffled.

Rhett glanced at Tack, noting the grease on his mouth. Rolling his eyes, he said, "Finish eating and clean up. We're going somewhere interesting."

"Somewhere interesting?" Reilly's curiosity was piqued, and a hint of excitement flashed in his eyes.

In the White Star District, on Blue Fir Street, a group of well-armored knights stood guard ten meters from the entrance of the Adventurer's Cave. There were over twenty first-level knights among them.

Rhett watched from a distance, impressed by the display of strength. The Branwen family's influence was evident—no one dared to cause trouble in their establishments.

One of the knights noticed the noble convoy approaching and jogged over to inquire, "Are you here for the Adventurer's Cave?"

"Indeed, could you help us with our horses and cargo?"

"The Adventurer's Cave? Why did Father bring us here?" Reilly wondered, puzzled.

"Of course," the knight replied politely. Noticing Rhett's noble attire and the family crest on the convoy, he courteously took the reins and led the horses to a safe area to store the cargo.

Soon after, a knight in silver armor approached Rhett and asked, "Sir, you must be a noble as well. Are you from Eagle Town?"

"Indeed, I am the lord of Eagle Town. Surely, seeing our convoy, you would know we're from there," Rhett replied, sizing up the silver-armored knight, curious about his questions.

The knight seemed puzzled for a moment before his eyes widened in realization. "Wait, you must be Rhett Green! The newly ennobled warrior who helped slay a Blood Moon Werewolf on the battlefield?"
