Chapter 16: Seven Years Later
"Life! It's full of great things! So many amazing places to see, so many good people to meet… and, of course, so many beautiful women waiting to be loved," Su Yan mused, sitting on the throne of a grand palace hall, looking down at the trembling villains before him. "Why waste time causing trouble? Enjoy life. Go out with friends, have hot pot, take vacations, maybe swim a little—just live well."
The villains shivered, barely managing a response, mumbling something under their breath. If you listened carefully, you could hear them stammering, "One hundred thousand… one hundred thousand… all of them…"
Just then, a loud commotion sounded as a squad of soldiers stormed into the hall. The general stepped forward, saluting Su Yan with a wide grin. "Mr. Su Yan, His Majesty has prepared a celebration in your honor! Please, stay and enjoy—"
Su Yan shook his head. "There's no need for all that. I just did my job. But I'll take the reward; it was a long trip, and I should be heading back now."
The general quickly produced a card, handing it to Su Yan. Su Yan took it, pocketed it, and turned to leave.
As his silhouette disappeared, the general took a deep breath, glancing out at the palace grounds. More than a hundred thousand of the kingdom's most notorious criminals lay sprawled outside, unconscious.
"It's only been an hour since he arrived…" the general murmured in awe. "As expected of the legendary wizard from Fairy Tail…"
Su Yan paid no mind to the murmurs behind him. He had been away from Fairy Tail for too long and missed the guild, wondering if Mirajane and Erza ever thought of him. He'd find out soon.
---
**Hargeon Port**
A boat pulled into Hargeon's bustling port. A tall, handsome young man with long, glossy black hair tied back in a ponytail stepped off the boat. The sun caught his hair, making it shine, while his rolled-up sleeves revealed arms as smooth and fair as polished jade, the kind that even girls would envy. He wore a white shirt and black pants, his lean frame hiding powerful, toned muscles underneath.
The only odd thing about him was the massive black mace strapped across his back.
It was Su Yan.
"Finally back at Hargeon," Su Yan sighed, looking around. "The guild's not far now."
Hargeon was only a few hours by train from Fairy Tail, and after so long, he was eager to get back.
**[Ding! Automatic check-in successful!]**
**[Check-in location: Hargeon Port]**
**[Reward: 1 free attribute point]**
Another point, Su Yan thought with a smile. "Maybe that's enough for now."
"System, open the template."
A digital panel flickered to life before him.
---
**[Super Slacker Template System]**
**Host: Su Yan**
- **Observation Haki**: 200 (Basic)
- **Armament Haki**: 500 (Intermediate)
- **Conqueror's Haki**: 3900 (Advanced)
- **Devil Fruit**: Fish-Fish Fruit, Mythical Zoan, Azure Dragon Form (Human Form Unlocked, Full Form Unlocks at 5000 Points)
- **Special Physique**: 47%
---
"System, add all 100 points to Conqueror's Haki!"
**[Ding! Points added successfully!]**
Su Yan watched his Conqueror's Haki jump to 4000, and his special physique inch closer to 50%. He felt his strength increase, if only slightly.
"Just 300 points more to reach 5000," Su Yan murmured. "So close."
He'd spent years traveling the kingdom, running maps, and taking on tasks to build strength. Despite his hard work, the progress was slow. The "Salted Fish System" certainly lived up to its name—if Su Yan wanted to get stronger faster, he'd have to rely on his own grit.
All this constant saving and grinding had given him a bit of an obsessive streak about his points. He preferred them in nice, round numbers. Still, for now, it was good enough.
"Forget it. I'm done worrying about points. It's been ages since I had a real meal. Time to eat something decent, and then—back to the guild!"
