NOVEL NEXT Chapter 20: The Dragon's Resentment
With the activation of his magic eyes, Akira felt the world lose its color. It felt like he was inside an old TV drama.
Turning his head around, Akira saw some spots that had unique colors. For example near the place Laxus is standing there was yellow fire around him. And on Laxus's chest, there was a blue crystal that was emanating blue energy.
' That must be Lacrima that allowed Laxus to use Dragon Slayer magic ' Akira thought as he looked in another direction. More specifically he looked at the ground.
In one place there was dark red smoke coming out of the ground. It looked like he found where the abnormal mana was coming from.
With this, his search became easier. Akira consecrated more magic into his eyes allowing him to peer into the abyss.
Just as he predicted, this abnormal mana belongs to a dead dragon. Under this building, there is the corpse of a dragon. No more specifically it belonged to the dead undead dragon that was slayed by the first generation.
Although the will of the dead dragon has been dealt with, its resentment is still there. The dark red magic is due to its resentment.
' I need to destroy this resentment before I start deploying the isolation array. ' Akira thought.
One must never underestimate anything. Especially if it relates to dragons. Dragons are very prideful creatures. So even if you kill them and destroy their souls their will alone is enough to bring headaches to many.
' Demonic eyes of Destruction ' Akira silently thought as the marking in his eyes glowed red and the sound of breaking glass was heard.
Soon the dark red magic power slowly began to turn into white. The resentment was destroyed so the true colour of the mana was shown.
But Akira couldn't marvel at this as he held his eyes in pain. Blood was coming out of his eyes as his transformation was undone. He had just overused his power so he is facing a backlash.
" Hey Akira what happened " Laxus quickly came over as he looked at Akira worriedly. He didn't get what Akira did as all he saw was Akira looking at somewhere intently. Then suddenly a sound of glass breaking was heard and Akira collapsed right after with blood coming out of his eyes.
" Don't worry, I'm fine now. I'm just tired. " Akira said with a tired tone. He was truly tired since his magic almost drained completely. Using the magic eyes of destruction is a bit too much for his body.
Unlike his other forms which would match his growth, Ano's form doesn't adjust the power to his level. So if he wasn't careful he may died because of a backlash. Especialy if he used the power of destruction.
" we should go see Grandma Porlyusica. I'm sure she could be able to heal you. Especialy your eyes they are still bleeding. " Laxus said with a bit of distress.
Akira wanted to reject him but a sharp pain in his eyes stopped him. It seems his body is still too weak. He may have gotten a bit cocky due to all the achievements he did these past few days and he forget that his body is still weak.
"Okay take me to the guild first, I need to speak with Sera first, " Akira said as he tried to get up.
"Okay hang on, " Laxus said as he carried Akira on his back piggy bag style. Then activating his thunder magic he ran with his full speed towards the guild.

Inside the guild everyone was drinking happily as ate the wonderful delicious meal by the super duper beautiful cat lady made for them.
This beautiful girl; looking in her late teens with purple hair, tied into twin tails and pink eyes is Sera who is in her human form. She even has two pink cat ears and a cat tail that was dancing to the side.
Since her small form is not enough to make food for all of the guild members Sera changed into a human form. The reason why she doesn't use this form when doing quests is due to the fact keeping this form costs her a huge amount of magic power.
"Hmm master didn't Akira and Laxus come with you " Sera asked Makarov as she looked for the two kids.
Makarov hearing her words frowned as he also noticed their absence. He shouted at Macoa and asked, " Hey Macoa did you see Akira and Laxus "
Macoa who was eating like crazy stopped and swallowed his food before saying, "No I thought they came with you, master. Hey Wakaba did you see did you see Laxus and Akira "
"Hmm didn't they come to the guild with us " Wakaba asked back in suprise.
Just as Makarov was about to send someone to look for them the guild door was blasted open as a flash of lightning appeared in the guild. When the dust disappeared Laxus was there and on his back, there was Akira who still had blood coming out of his eyes.
" Akira what happened "When Sera saw Akira being injured she dropped the plate she was holding and rushed towards him immediately. Makarov, Macao, Wakaba, and many others also stopped what they were doing and rushed to see Akira.
"Cough sorry Sera I may have underestimated my physique. " Akira said with an apologetic smile.
"Laxus bring Akira to Porlyusica immediately, I will follow you guys from behind, " Makarov said as he did a quick examination of Akira. Not only is Akira's eyes are bleeding he also has some internal injuries.
"Okay Grandpa, " Laxus said as he left the guild in a hurry while carrying Akira.
"President, what do you think happened? Did anyone ambush them " Macoa asked with a dangerous glint in his eyes. If anyone dared to hurt those two kids then they should be ready to face the wrath of Fairy Tail.
"No, those injuries seem to be from a magic backlash. " Makarov said, dispelling most of their anger.
" But why did Akira use magic like that in Magnolia? " Wakaba asked in puzzlement. He didn't take Akira for being a reckless type of kid.
" No matter, let's first get him healed up. The questions can wait until later. " Makarov finally said, silencing everyone.
What he said was true as the most important thing is Akira's health.
" Sera, follow me. I will take you to where Porlyusica lives. Macoa, Wakaba take care of the guild until I'm back " Makarov ordered as he left the guild with a worried Sera.
It was the first time she had seen Akira injured this badly so she is very emotionally unstable and can't think straight. After all, she was the mother who raised him for the last four years.
