"Noel, Natsu, Gray, I have a request for you." Erza's expression suddenly turned serious as she spoke to the three of them.

"Hmm?"

"No problem," Noel scratched his cheek with a smile. "I won't let myself face any life-threatening danger."

Mira gazed at him with worry before sighing.

"Be careful."

"I will."

"Where... is this?" When Noel opened his eyes, he saw an unfamiliar ceiling.

"Noel, you're awake?" A confident, feminine voice reached his ears.

"Erza?" Noel shifted his gaze slightly upward, seeing Erza's face, her eyes filled with a gentle smile.

(Why is Erza here? Why am I with Erza?)

Seeing Noel resting his head on her lap, looking dazed, Erza couldn't help but chuckle softly.

She knew that Noel always experienced a brief period of sluggishness when waking up, during which his reactions and thoughts were noticeably slow.

"We're on a train, aren't we?" After a few seconds, Noel finally processed the situation, realizing his head was resting on Erza's lap.

(Since Erza is here, then...)

Turning his gaze to the left, he saw Natsu looking utterly defeated, Lucy and Happy wearing ambiguous expressions, and Gray looking impatient.

Noel sat up and habitually scratched his left cheek. "So, Erza, care to explain what's going on?"

"Well, I figured you might oversleep, so I went to pick you up at five in the morning," Erza said with a mischievous smile.

"..." (I can already imagine Mira's expression when she went to wake me and found the empty bed.)

"Our enemy is the Dark Guild, Eisenwald. It seems they're planning to do something with a magic called Lullaby."

Noel raised an eyebrow. "If that's the case, this could get pretty serious."

In the magic world, anything related to the dark mage Zeref was classified as extremely dangerous.

Lucy and Gray exchanged glances, seemingly having encountered the name before.

Meanwhile, Lucy was sweating nervously, looking terrified.

"By the way, what kind of magic do you use, Miss Erza?" Lucy asked curiously as they walked.

"Just call me Erza," Erza replied cheerfully.

"Erza's magic is beautiful! There's so much blood—enemy blood," Happy said with a grin, making an ominous remark.

"How is that beautiful?" Lucy retorted.

"I think Gray's magic is quite beautiful," Erza said thoughtfully.

"Really?" Gray clenched his right fist into his left palm and activated his magic, forming an icy emblem of Fairy Tail in his hand. "Mine is ice magic."

"I see... So that's why you two don't get along," Lucy realized.

Natsu and Gray, being fire and ice, were natural-born rivals.

Listening to their conversation, Noel felt drowsiness creeping up on him again.

Gradually, his consciousness faded, and he drifted back to sleep.
