Enjoy your reading!
As soon as they left the study, there was silence in the hall.
- What is this sleepy kingdom?! - shouted Makarov, hitting the desk.
- Master, what's with... - Makarov asked, glancing at Eros.
- Only, it seems, - with boredom in his voice, replied the master and at that moment, everyone in the hall breathed a sigh of relief.
- Yes, the existence of two such monsters is unnatural, - said one of the guild mages with relief.
- Yes, but imagine if there really were two such people? - jokingly said one of the mages and the next moment received a punch in the jaw from another, - HEY! WHY?! - jumped up and shouted angrily.
- DON'T MAKE JOKES LIKE THAT! OR YOU'LL JINX IT!
- FUCK YOU!
- WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO?!
- GET HIM, LADS!
The next thing you know, the guild was in pure anarchy.
- Can't you break them up? - With a twitching right eye, Eros asked Makarov.
- 'Eh, spankers,' he said with a smile, 'Let them have their fun.
"What fun they have," thought the titan as he dodged a body flying past him, "That was a close one
- Would you like to join us?
- I think I'll refrain," Eros answered Makarov, sitting down at the bar.
- But your friends are all for it, - turning round, the titan saw Roni and Rick kicking some poor guy, and the next moment, the older mage was kicked by another mage, but he was not confused and answered him, on the other hand, Rick hit the head on the most intimate place of one of the mages... - It must have hurt, - Eros grinned.
- Yes... - exactly like the titan's actions, Makarov replied, catching one of the flying bodies and throwing it back.
- THANK YOU MASTER! I RETURNED... - but before he could finish, he was kicked in the face and fainted.
- This is fun.
- Yeah! Have you decided to join the guild yet?
- I'm sorry, Master, but I can't change my mind.
- That's a pity.
- Since you don't have anything to do right now, why don't you show me the library...?
***
Eros was horrified by the sight before him. There were dozens of shelves twelve metres high and each of them was overflowing with books on a variety of subjects.- It would take me ten years to read everything, it would take tens of years....
- Well, here's a reason to join the guild... - but the titan did not pay attention to Makarov's provocation and looked at all this like a mesmerised man.
- Master, is there any item that can help you read faster or... - a pair of ordinary red glasses with small wings on the sides appeared in front of Eros.
- These are hurricane reading glasses," Makarov said, placing them in the titan's hand, "They will allow you to read books at a speed eighteen times faster than normal.
- If my father had such glasses, he would definitely be happy... - for a moment, sadness appeared on Eros' face.
- Your father, huh? What was he?
- He was a great scientist, and also the best father, - the titan closed his eyes, - Even when he was very busy, he always found time to play with us, for him the family was always above everything, even after my brother... - Eros stopped abruptly, realising that he had said too much.
- Where are they now?
- They're dead.
- That's how it is... - Makarov approached Eros and what happened next made him feel shocked. Makarov hugged the titan, - I'm sorry for making him remember such things, - Makarov said with sadness in his voice.
- It's nothing, - Eros smiled softly, - I've already accepted it, so I want to live a happy life, so that my parents, who will look at me from heaven, would be proud of me.
- I'm sure they would be happy to hear those words," he said, stroking the boy's head, "You can spend as much time as you want, no one will bother you, you don't have to worry.
- Thank you, Master.
- Okay, have fun, but don't mess up the artefact.
- Got it!
As soon as Makarov left, Eros took the first book he could find, flipped through it quickly and put it back.
- It's going to take a long time," Eros muttered, picking up another book, "The Guide to the Magic World, it's wrong again," he looked at all the books again, "I feel it won't be easy to find the topics I need," he took off his glasses and twirled them in his hand, "But glasses are really a magical thing, just by flipping through a book, I already know the basic essence of it," a glint appeared in the titan's eyes for a moment, "Are there similar glasses that have a higher speed?
The fight that was before was already over, everyone was sitting at the tables, drinking and chatting. At that moment Eros came flying out of the library.
- 'Master you lost,' Macau exclaimed with a smirk, holding out his hand.
- What are you talking about? - Eros, where are you going?
- To the magic shop, I want to make sure of something," he answered quickly and left the guild.
- But he left the guild like a scalded man, which means he's already read enough, and those rows of books are very intense, - the other guys from the guild nodded in agreement.
- But that doesn't mean he won't go there again, when he comes back we'll see who wins!
- Okay...

Eros ran into the first magic shop he could find and immediately started looking at the merchandise.
- Young man, can I help you with something? - The chubby salesman politely asked.
- Yes, you sell hurricane reading glasses.
- Sure, look here, - he showed a few pairs of glasses, each of them was a different colour and the prices were in ascending order, - With these, you can read books 2 times faster, a little higher in 4, and so on in ascending order, up to 64 times, but ....
- Is there something wrong with the product?
- Oh no," he shook his head, "I wouldn't recommend buying glasses with a speed of 64 and above.
- Why not? - Eros asked in surprise.
- You're too young for them, and they will overload your brain, to the point where you could lose your mind from the overload of information," he said worriedly.
Eros looked at them thoughtfully. No, he was not afraid of that, because his brain is not like that of ordinary people, so he can easily withstand such a load, he was interested in another thing, and whether there are glasses with even greater speed. This he asked the salesman, who looked at him like a madman, but answered.
- Yes, they do, but they are not for sale because they are forbidden because they can drive even S-rank mages crazy.
- I got it, thank you!

Twenty minutes later, Eros flew into the guild.
- Did you find what you wanted? - Makarov asked.
- Yes, please don't bother me about anything for the next couple of hours! - Shouting this, he closed himself in the library.
- What did I say, eh Makarov? - The old man smirked, taking the bag of jewels from the boy's hands, "And don't argue with your master!
- Macau, did you win the easy money? - with a sneer in his voice, Wakaba joked to his friend.
- Shut up! - he shouted angrily, drinking a mug of beer.
The audience saw this and laughed, embarrassing Makoa.

"First we need to figure out what runes or enchantments are on them, and then think about how to reproduce..."- he began to review the books very quickly and quickly going through them putting them in different stacks.
Eros' priority right now was to find books on dark magic, rituals and runes, artefacts and the method of creating them, as well as biology, geography and history. The spread was large, it would be hard to handle in a year, but using hurricane reading glasses, it should become much easier. Except that 32 times faster wouldn't be enough, they needed at least 64, or even 128.
It took Eros almost a day to select the books he needed. At the moment, on the floor were several dozen stacks of books divided into different topics, ranging from the basics like "History of the World of Magic" to "Divine Enchantments".
He was going to study each of these topics from A to Z, as well as be able to use it all in practice. But Eros himself realised that this was almost impossible, so the main direction he chose was "Artefacting", that is, creating artefacts and so there were a couple of stacks more books in this direction.
Two weeks passed in the study of books. For Eros they passed unnoticed, during this time he left the library only to have a snack, but only for the first week, and also to ask Makarov a couple of questions on obscure topics, one of them was "Analysing Magic" which he studied.
It was in one of the books, of course the description was very poor, but it was enough to understand all its advantages. One of which was a complete analysis of any object, that is, its quality, composition and even what runes and enchantments are applied to the object. This was how he was able to fully understand the hurricane reading glasses.
The glasses were made of White Crystal, as well as advanced level runes that accelerated thinking and reading comprehension. The panes in this entire design, however, carried the role of a shock absorber, preventing the eyes from deteriorating and tiring.
The hardest thing in the creation of these glasses is finding materials, that is, White Crystal. After all, if the lenses are made of ordinary glass, then the eyes after an hour will be very painful, and in a month you can simply lose sight. Runes to apply it is also not an easy job and most often artifactors who want to strengthen their creations, turn to the Master of Runes for help, and those for a fee apply the necessary runes.
Because of this, Eros had to revise his plans and add a couple of stacks of books on runes as well. Since he will be denied one hundred per cent to put runes on points with 128x acceleration.
The spell itself is not divine, so even if Eros sees the name of any component, it's not a given that he'll know what it is at all. So he tries to learn as much as he can.
As for Artefacting, Eros has developed a severe problem, and that's money. He just doesn't have the money to practice, so he decided to learn everything about it for now, and in a year's time he'll be able to get into it completely.
With the runes he had a much easier time, because at the elementary level, you basically only need an object on which they will be applied, ink, as well as straight hands and a good memory. Only at the intermediate level will he need the blood of magical beasts, magical ink from minerals, as well as a magic pen to apply runes of advanced level and above.
At this moment, Eros was still in the library, holding the pen in one hand and the blackboard in the other and looking at the textbook, he was applying the most ordinary rune of heat. Such runes are never applied to items that are going to be put up for sale at all, but only for beginner's practice. And this was his twenty-fifth attempt.
"Do I just not have the talent?"- Eros thought with annoyance, doling it out. At the same moment, the rune glowed and then went out after a couple of seconds... The next moment, a magic circle lit up on the titan's hand and the board disappeared, "Twenty-fifth..."
The pen fell out of his hand and rolled across the table.
"What am I doing wrong? The lines are all even, the proportions are perfect, the magic power is evenly distributed..."- Eros's musings were interrupted by the striking of a bell, -What happened? - The titan quickly ran out of the library, where he saw that everyone in the guild was looking at the door, at that moment the ground shook, - Earthquake? What's happening?!
