Chapter 20: Procuring Firearms!
"Colonel Adolf, this time I'm totally counting on you!"
In the most upscale Western restaurant in Oda Town, Enzo was drinking with a blond, white man.
Enzo, who had been an otaku in his previous life, actually hated socializing. But as the saying goes, nine out of ten people are unhappy in life. Sometimes, no matter how annoying things are, they have to be done out of necessity.
Just like now for Enzo, drinking with this damn ghost guy, Colonel T. Adolf.
The renovation work on Henggou Mountain had gone very smoothly. Regardless of the cost, the mayor's support and Enzo's funding enabled the construction of all the external walls in just ten days.
Now, all that was left were the internal buildings.
In addition to the first line of defense at the foot of the mountain, the second and third lines of defense on the mountainside also needed to be built.
According to Enzo's vision, Henggou Mountain would have three lines of defense. In addition to dispersing and resisting zombie attacks, the outer defense line could also accommodate the gathered refugees.
Of course, he was not being overly kind or trying to be a saint to save the world. The reason he designed it this way was for a better life!
He needed to live in this damn world for a year.
If he were alone or with just a few girls, wouldn't life be too boring?
Besides, he had spent a fortune installing industrial facilities on Henggou Mountain, not to become a savage. If he really wanted to hang out casually for a year, wouldn't it be easy to find a place that was easy to defend and difficult to attack with his skills, as long as he had enough food and water?
But he had ambitions, a system by his side, invincible strength, and a flood of wealth.
How could Enzo be content with the status quo?
So once he had confirmed the completion of the base's external defenses, he turned his attention to the issue of weapons and equipment.
His current identity was that of the world's best sword master, but this was not ancient times.
Additionally, wielding a sword was not as effective as using a heavy machine gun against the tyrannical horde of zombies, let alone using a mortar!
However, procuring the firearms was difficult because the Japanese government's firearm regulations were still quite strict.
Even gangsters typically only had a few small pistols. This was one of the main reasons martial arts gyms flourished in Japan.
Without access to guns, the strongest fighter often became the gang leader.
Originally, Enzo considered approaching a chaebol like Mitsui or Mitsubishi to procure a batch of arms. However, he then thought,
'Why go through such trouble?'
There was a US military base just outside the city. If he wanted weapons, couldn't he just go directly to the American soldiers?
As soon as that thought crossed his mind, after leveraging some connections, he established a relationship with the base's highest commander, Colonel T. Adolf.
That was also how this situation came to be.
"It's no big deal—just a bunch of arms! Leave it to me!"
Colonel Adolf, embracing two Geishas, answered nonchalantly while chewing.
Trading arms was a serious crime in Japan, but the law had always been aimed at poor civilians.
Master Busujima might have to consider the social implications, but for Colonel Adolf, an American officer, the Japanese government had little control over him.
"What I actually want to do is build a tourist memorial park. These arms would be brought from your department and put on display in the park. They will be returned in three months."
While T. Adolf could be unscrupulous due to his American status, Enzo still had to be cautious about the potential impact.
If the Japanese government suspected he was preparing to rebel, getting arrested before the apocalypse would really spell disaster for him.
"I understand! I understand! Win-win cooperation! For safekeeping, we will temporarily give some of the items from our base to you, Busujima-san. If anyone dares to use any excuse to trouble you, I'll have my soldiers take care of them." Colonel Adolf laughed, beating his chest wildly and boasting about himself.
For Adolf, it really wasn't a big deal.
Reselling collected weapons was part of his routine. Every year, he had to sell a large number of them to support the seven concubines he kept outside.
Besides, the guy in front of him was simply a sucker, willing to buy those arms at three times the market price. Colonel Adolf felt that he must definitely protect such a lucrative customer!
'Maybe my mansion in California will finally be completed thanks to this guy.'
"Then I'll trouble you, Colonel. I won't disturb your pleasure any longer!"
Enzo said, noticing the Colonel stripping the two Geishas beside him, ready to start a round of mortal combat right there.
Enzo stood up to leave.
"Mr. Busujima, don't you want to join us and play?"
Colonel asked with a lewd smile, patting the snow-white buttocks of the Geisha on his left hand.
"No, please enjoy yourself, Colonel!" Enzo replied.
Not only did Enzo have no intention of being intimate with women while other men were present, but he also couldn't bring himself to touch the Geisha.
Despite ordering the most expensive geisha for the Colonel's enjoyment, Enzo saw them for what they were: prostitutes, regardless of how they were packaged as OL wives or female college students.
Rather than engaging with these women, he preferred to return and train his beloved daughter and cute disciple.
So, after first driving to inspect the progress at the construction site, Enzo headed straight back to the Busujima House.
But as he reached his house, a smile crept across his lips at the sight of the black Mercedes parked in front of the dojo.
"Master, Mrs. Katsura is waiting for you in the meeting room," the doorman announced, running over as he saw Enzo's car approaching.
"Didn't she go to see Kotonoha?" Enzo pondered for a moment before asking.
"No, Miss Kotonoha and the young lady are practicing swordsmanship in the backyard. Madam Katsura didn't meet them when she arrived, nor did she ask us to report to them," the servant quickly replied.
"Very good, go ahead," Enzo instructed, waving the servant away as he made his way to the meeting room.
Creak!
The door to the room opened, and Manami, kneeling inside, felt her entire body tremble at the sight of the tall, muscular figure entering.
Manami had visited the Busujima Dojo six times in the past half-month. The official reason was her concern for her daughter, prompting her frequent visits.
But what was the real reason?
"Master Busujima!" Manami's eyes sparkled with a seductive glint. She licked her lips and crawled on all fours toward Enzo, like a sow in heat.
The term 'sow' described her perfectly as her two massive breasts dragged on the floor, rolling back and forth with each movement, making her look like an insatiable, lustful animal.
