Chapter 51: Chapter 51: Darui's Anger
When arriving in a new place, information is always necessary.
For a shinobi, information is crucial.
Even a casual remark on the street or a seemingly idle conversation in a tavern can reveal critical information.
A seemingly insignificant piece of information could mean the difference between life and death for a shinobi.
Thus, their thirst for knowledge far exceeds that of ordinary people.
To participate in the Chūnin Exams, Samui, Darui, and Cee—three genin from the Kumogakure—set out early in the morning, journeying tirelessly from their home village.
By the time they arrived at Konoha, the sun was setting.
No sooner when they had settled into their inn for some rest, their supervising teacher, Tutai, tasked them with gathering intelligence, claiming it was an exercise to "hone their information-gathering skills."
The trio ventured into the streets, weaving through a sea of civilians and filtering through countless trivial conversations. It was an arduous task—time-consuming and mentally taxing.
After half an hour, they managed to uncover a vital piece of intelligence:
Earlier that morning, a Konoha shinobi had clashed with a Suna shinobi. The two were now inside a barbecue restaurant not far from their current location.
Driven by the need to gather more information, the group entered the restaurant.
Scanning the room, they quickly noticed three individuals wearing Konoha headbands—Team 7.
As Team 7 prepared to leave, Darui hastily reached out a hand and called out, "Hey there, friends. Please wait a moment..."
Naruto paused, tilting his head slightly, his voice calm. "What do the Kumogakure want with us?"
"Uh..." Darui faltered. He had been so focused on stopping them that he forgot to think of what to say next.
As someone ill-suited for intelligence gathering, he scratched his head, his tanned face forming a sheepish smile. "Uh... never mind. Samui, you take over."
At his words, the young woman named Samui stepped forward from behind him. Removing the long hood that concealed her face, she revealed short, pale blond hair, smooth and fair skin, and sharp, dazzling features.
Despite her youth, her mature air and well-developed physique gave her an imposing presence.
From behind Naruto, Kushina muttered quietly with a slightly odd expression, "Why do we keep running into women like... her lately?"
Hearing this, Mikoto glanced down at herself and sighed inwardly, resigning herself to an inevitable comparison.
Samui's emerald-green eyes locked onto Naruto. Her instincts told her that he was the leader of the group.
After a brief pause, she extended her hand to him, smiling lightly. "Hello. We're genin from the Kumogakure. My name is Samui.
"As for these two idiots behind me," she added with a chuckle, "feel free to ignore them."
Her tone became more businesslike as she continued. "We're hoping to exchange information on genin from different villages as preparation for the Chūnin Exams. Of course, we're willing to pay for the information or trade some of our own."
Naruto, however, showed no interest. His attention remained on the two women behind him.
"Not interested," he replied coolly, before taking Kushina and Mikoto by the hand and turning to leave.
"Wait!" Samui was visibly stunned. She had never encountered someone who refused free money.
Meanwhile, Cee whispered something into Darui's ear.
Darui's expression stiffened before tears welled up in his dark eyes. His voice choked with emotion. "I must avenge Brother Dee and Teacher Damui!"
Without waiting for a response, he drew his massive blade—nearly as tall as himself—and charged at Naruto.
"Idiot! Darui, don't let your anger cloud your judgment!" Samui exclaimed, her green eyes wide with urgency.
Cee sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "If I'd known he'd react this way, I wouldn't have said anything."
Darui leaped into the air, raising his sword high above his head as he aimed for Naruto.
But the seemingly inevitable strike missed its mark.
Looking around in confusion, Darui realized Naruto had vanished—along with the two women.
"They're gone," he muttered, scanning the now nearly empty restaurant.
The other patrons, alarmed by the commotion, had cleared out in a matter of seconds. Only empty tables and the three Cloud nin remained in the deserted barbecue joint.

Konoha Residential District
As Darui swung his blade, Naruto had whisked himself and the two women away using the Flying Thunder God technique, arriving back at his home.
"Sorry, I need to step out for a bit. I'll be back soon," Naruto said.
"Alright. Come back quickly; we'll be waiting," Mikoto replied with a faint smile, nodding slightly.
She understood that Naruto was about to cause trouble again.
"My dear treasures," Naruto said softly, leaning in to plant a light kiss on each of their foreheads.
Kushina and Mikoto both blushed deeply.
With that, Naruto vanished in an instant, reappearing in the barbecue restaurant moments later.

Back at the Barbecue Restaurant
"Find out where they went," Darui said, his eyes scanning the surroundings cautiously.
"Understood," Cee replied, closing his eyes as he concentrated.
A moment later, his expression shifted. "I can't. They're beyond my sensory range. That technique wasn't just a simple Body Flicker."
Samui rested her chin on her hand thoughtfully. "Could it have been a summoning technique?"
As the group deliberated, a cold voice suddenly broke the silence.
"Are you looking for me?"
(TL/N - I fixed the chapter on the part where kushina and mikoto is kidnapped until the end of naruto's fight. Unfortunately, there's some error on naming but I already fixed it and you are free to re-read the chapter.)
