Chapter 30: Abraham family (2)
A few minutes before the Full Moon, the Fool was waiting for the result of the Abraham family's decision.
After searching for information about Him, would they decide to trust an unknown existence? Or would they watch their family continue to fall due to the ravings while being unable to do anything?
As expected, as the Full Moon appeared, some prayer lights from members who had given up and chose to take this gamble appeared. It seemed that Dorian Gray Abraham had indeed spread His honorific name throughout the family.
However, there weren't that many prayer lights. Were they checking the consequences of praying to Him first?
Of course, He had indeed forced fate a little by using His abilities to manipulate the teacher's trust in Fors, so it was to be expected. Otherwise, far from agreeing to meet Him, the god had divined that the teacher would most likely immediately cut off ties with his student and run away.
It's thanks to this level of caution that the Abraham family was able to survive until now despite Bethel Abraham's ravings preventing their bloodline from advancing past low sequences.
Appearing above the gray fog, Fors looked around her, wondering if the Abraham family members would be pulled up here as well.
The Fool answered her thoughts, "I'm isolating them into a secret space to prevent the ravings from reaching them."
Zooming onto the scene displayed by Dorian Gray Abraham's crimson star, the Fool showed her the change in space around her teacher, who seemed to stand in another dimension while remaining in the same place at the same time.
That's how the number of believers in the Fool increased.

The Fool decided to contact Bernadette's messenger, telling her that He had locked on the cultists' location.
After making a plan, He then assisted her in hunting the evil god believers.
"Is it over now?"
Bernadette, watching the Beyonder characteristics appearing, replied, "Yes."
However, instead of being happy about it, her astral body reflected disappointment.
"Then why are you disappointed?"
He didn't think Roselle's daughter actually enjoyed hunting down people. She also seemed more on the righteous side. Or did He misjudge her?
After splitting up the spoils, Bernadette gazed into the distance, as if looking at something far away.
"Although evil god believers may be harmful, I didn't hunt down these people out of a sense of justice."
She had already foreseen that this event wouldn't fit as her advancement ritual, so she did not need to step up herself. She could have simply reported them to the orthodox churches.
"The reason I chased them is because I foresaw that they had a clue about an existence called 'Mysteries'."
However, she didn't find anything in the end.
Bernadette turned toward Gehrman Sparrow.
"I heard He is also called 'The Fool'."
Although Cattleya had recently mentioned in one of her letters that she was in contact with the Fool during weekly gatherings, it only gave Bernadette more reasons to search for information about this existence on her end.
In case that put her in danger, Bernadette hadn't told Cattleya about her father's warning. After all, what was done was done; it would be better to turn this accident into an opportunity and make the most of it.
Queen Mystic also hoped that the pirate captain could find out more details about that existence by attending the gatherings.
Gerhman Sparrow didn't show any reaction at her words, simply continuing to smile.
"Is that so?"
Bernadette scrutinized Him.
"Don't you know anything about Him?"
Gehrman Sparrow immediately replied, "No."
After a moment of silence, Bernadette was cleaning up the bodies of evil god believers surrounding them when a question reached her ears.
"If I may ask, for what reason are you looking for Him?"
As memories of the past surfaced in her mind, her eyes sunk, curiosity pushing her forward.
The desire to understand.
"My father once mentioned Him."
Soon before he was assassinated, one of the last words her father had told her.
"He warned me to be careful of The Fool."
She wanted to find out what Emperor Roselle had to do with that existence.
Did the Fool know why her father died? Why did her father warn her about Him? Who was the Fool?
"I see."
In a future letter, Bernadette then learned from Cattleya that Gehrman Sparrow was the Fool's vessel.

Cattleya surveyed the members and inquired, "Any clues to the blood of a Mythical Creature?"
Considering the Hermit's Pathway, the Fool saw through the purpose of her question.
Since the Fate Pathway should be more appropriate to assist her in her advancement, it was fortunate that He 'knew' a Fate Pathway Beyonder. He even gave Him an arm.
What was less fortunate was that the Snake of Mercury in question wasn't born, but at least He had kept some blood remaining from that arm.
With the current situation, it seemed He had been right in doing so. You never know when you might need some ingredients that are rich in spirituality.
The Fool made a small bottle placed under the table appear in His hand and inquired, "Does that fit?"
Following the warning of her spirituality, Cattleya avoided looking directly at the true blood of a Mythical Creature.
"…Yes. What may you want in exchange?"
Her tone suddenly turned even more polite.
The Fool put His hand on His chin, lost in thought.
What mainly came to mind was the owner of the blood, who requested cold coins as a fee. However, the Fool only possessed Backlund's currency.
"Gold coins."
"How many gold coins?"
"I'll let you judge."
With mixed feelings, Cattleya nodded. Although she was hesitant about the meaning behind the god letting her decide the amount of gold coins the blood of a pure mythical creature was worth, she also needed it, so it wasn't like she had a better choice at the moment.
Inside the ancient palace standing above the gray fog, Alger then turned his head to look at The Sun.
"Are you still in Afternoon Town?"
Derrick nodded honestly.
"Yes, we took a very long time to establish a camp. Later, with small teams, we wiped out the remnant monsters, one street at a time, in search of any ancient ruins that might still exist. Although this process is slow, it's sufficiently safe."
They continued to talk about the City of Silver, Audrey asking questions she was curious about.
The Abraham family had decided to convert and now believed in the Fool. They wished to offer Him high-ranking sealed artifacts as a sign of faith. The Fool thus had the entire support of the Abraham family and access to their ressources.
Audrey, who had helped the Fool by creating a basis to spread His faith in the future by setting up a charity, respected Him for His kindness.
Sharron had begun rallying the Temperance faction.
Leonard had now advanced to Sequence 5 thanks to the Tarot Club and was closer to his revenge.
Derrick admired the Fool and saw Him as his only way to leave the Forsaken Land of the Gods.
Cattleya, who had heard from Queen Mystic that she knew Gehrman Sparrow and they collaborated together, even if she didn't know the exact details, respected the Fool even more for being acquainted with Bernadette.
The Fool also had Alger's reverence for His exploits at sea, as well as Emlyn's loyalty out of a duty for his Ancestor.
The god had gained the trust of every Tarot Club member.
Like the other Tarot Club members, the Fool's lips were curled up into a smile.
To what extent are you willing to go for me?
