Chapter 568: Chapter 567: Leibao Battles Three Big Dogs_1

Su Hu and his wife celebrated their son’s successful enrollment at Liyang Academy with a lavish lunch.

Reunited as a family around the dining table, they chatted and laughed whilst enjoying their meal greatly.

Just before they left in the afternoon, the three big dogs remembered their young master’s promise and eagerly circled the carriage, hoping to go along with them in an inconspicuous manner.

Lin Qingluo found this amusing and indulged their desire, bringing the three large dogs back to the Duke of Zhen’s residence.

The leopard cub raised by Lin Jinxu was named Leibao.

The two wolf cubs raised by Lin Jinzhou were respectively named Wolf One and Wolf Two.

The wolf cub that Lin Jinyang raised in the countryside at Lin’s Residence was named Langya, mimicking his sister’s naming habit.

Lin Jinxu loved the little leopard cub so much that he couldn’t bear to release it back into the wild, and so he kept it at the Duke of Zhen’s residence.

When the two wolf cubs turned one year old, they were brought back to the countryside and released into the wild with Langya.

After Lin Jinxu joined the army, Little Eight (Lin Jinhao) and Little Nine (Lin Jinlei), along with their remaining four younger brothers, took over the task of caring for Leibao and nurtured it meticulously.

The young men of the Lin Clan, who rose to train in martial arts at the crack of dawn, did not have the habit of bird-walking or cricket-fighting.

Leibao was the only pet in the house, and it was loved by everyone.

When the Old Master and the Duke of Zhen occasionally thought of Leibao, they would specially visit the martial arts arena to take a walk and happily stroke the leopard’s fur.

In the southwest corner of the martial arts arena, next to the courtyard wall, there was a special leopard house built for Leibao.

The enclosure was surrounded by bamboo fences, and within the fence walls, a hundred-year-old locust tree’s large crown covered the entire leopard house.

Leibao liked to sleep under the locust tree the most.

On scorching hot summer days, the tree crown blocked the intense sunlight, and dappled dots of light fell to the ground through the gaps in the branches.

Leibao would lie down under the shade of the tree, enjoying the gentle breeze and taking a cozy nap; both cool and comfortable.

“Woof woof woof.”

A piercing bark disturbed its sweet dreams.

Leibao irritatedly brushed its ears with a paw, turned over, and resumed sleeping.

“Woof woof woof.”

Another round of shrill barking, one after another, ongoing without a pause.

Leibao, losing patience, opened its eyelids and glanced at the provocateur.

“Woof woof woof.”

The three large dogs, emboldened by the presence of their young master, provoked relentlessly.

“Roar.”

Leibao, furious, let out a roar and hastily got up.

Its hefty body shook three times in the process.

“Whoo-whoo.”

The three large dogs, taken aback by the sight of Leibao’s plump and strong physique, hesitated, and timidly retreated a few steps.

After observing for a while and seeing that it didn’t attack, they again gathered their courage, pacing around the fence gate, another round of shrill provocation ensued.

“Roar.”

Leibao, thoroughly enraged, rushed out from the fence gate, pouncing towards the three big dogs.

“Woof woof woof.”

The three big dogs, unwilling to back down and relying on their hunting experiences from the wild, deftly dodged Leibao’s attacks.

Leibao, having been raised at the Duke of Zhen’s residence from a young age and spoiled by the entire household, had grown large and fat with no combat experience.

At first, using its large size advantage, it charged indiscriminately, gaining the upper hand.

But, not long after, it became breathless and gradually started losing.

The three big dogs’ spirits escalated as the fight went on, and collectively, they were able to drive Leibao back to its leopard house.

“Wow, the three large ones are amazing, truly worthy of being experienced hunters.”

Shitou’s eyes lit up as he watched, he whistled loudly in admiration of the three big dogs.

“Woof woof woof.”

Even more excited now, the three big dogs kept circling around the fence wall.

“Just like people, leopards lose their combat abilities when they’ve been in a comfortable nest for too long; they’re at the mercy of even dogs.”

With deep sighs, Wang Meng and Feng Yi watched on, their mouths agape in astonishment.
