Chapter 4: Chapter 3: The girl in golden armour
The Madame I never got a proper look at her when I met her the first time a few days ago but now looking up at her as I was dying she was a very tall and beautiful woman with a large black hat and skin tight dress maybe if I was a bit older. I slammed my fist into the ground
"Get out of my head"
I would never fall for a woman that didn't try to stop the suffering of the people around me no that's impossible. the next moment there was a searing burning pain on the back of my neck I tried to let out a gasp but I couldn't my body was shutting down from all the blood loss I had a last look at the girl in the armour before she was standing in the doorway looking back at me, with a look of pity or disgust.
"Who cares it doesn't matter anyway"
I closed my eye's accepting my fate that death was welcoming me, it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be in fact it felt welcoming and warm I. I awoke in a abyss a pitch dark abyss normally I would be scared but surprisingly I was more scared as to why I was floating above me, behind me in front of me and beneath me I could hear someone mumbling to themselves.
"I'm dead, what do I do, what did I do to deserve such a fate."
0over and over it sounded like millions of beings or things where just beside me but wherever I looked no one was to be seen. Next something grabbed me from behind and picked me up saying in a raspy ancient voice that I couldn't understand but understood the meaning.
"Thual packtun!?"
What ever was holding me was unsure of why I was in his place the next moment as if those words where magic I was waking up to a bright sky with streaks of gold across it. I slightly gasped trying to figure out what was happening, I should be dead but know I'm seeing things. Of what I could assume a goddess had descended to grant me my final goodbyes before sending me to my death. I reached out trying to get the gods attention but I stumbled over trying to get up I looked to see why and remembered I only had one arm now. then it turned around and was visibly startled but that went back to a straight face as soon as she saw me, it was the girl in golden armour sitting in front of me, She then smiled at me.
"Your awake I almost thought my magic wasn't enough for you."
She chuckled out as if happy to see I made it but before I could ask who she was the trees and the ground started to shake as if something was about to descend upon us I start to crawl towards her but she still doesn't move as if a statue. Then the tremors stop and standing above us is a dragon towering far above us looking down on us, its skin as grey as stone and it's eye's burning with a need for destruction.
"Help! it's a dragon!"
I tried getting up falling but i didn't care i just needed to get away dragging myself along the ground.
"SSTTOOP!"
The girl shouted even the dragon looked as if it just turned to stone but I wasn't going to stop, at least that's what I thought but my body would no longer move I start to panic even more not knowing what is happening I look at her and she smiles at me.
"This dragon is my mount, its name is Boromir."
As if nothing happened my body went limp and I turn and look at the dragon, it was staring at me as if looking deeper than my outer appearance, as if looking at my soul. The dragon let out a puff of smoke as if to show it wasn't a threat to me and I fell over from it. I had bigger problems than a dragon and more questions, I look to the girl.
"Excuse me lady but I should be dead so why am I here?"
"Because I saved you?"
She said to my question as if she was confused by it.
'NO BUT I CLEARLY SAW MY CHEST PIERCED AND THEN YOU WALKED PAST ME IN THE, THE HOUSE.!"
getting frustrated I yelled at her wanting a clear answer.
"I don't know what your on about where out in the Badlands no houses around for at least a weeks worth travel. When I found you, it was because Boromir felt a strong desire to live that's uncommon around here so I investigated and found you laying on the ground surrounded by rubble and dead bodies. You were the only living one if that's what you could call it, them savages must of attacked you, and the battle went of the cliff you must of hit your head pretty bad fo0r such a young boy. Anyway enough of your questions I have one for you how did you get that slave crest?"
I looked at the woman puzzled as to why she suddenly got so serious is that how she stopped my body before because of this crest whatever it was but what does she mean, found me in a pile of rubble at the bottom of a cliff. I sat there puzzled I knew I was definitely in a house of horrors but when I tried to remember my mind was hazy as if something was blocking it. Maybe I really did hit my head to hard. I looked at the girl and shrugged maybe I was just a slave that was unlucky and got attacked, or would this be considered lucky being saved. I looked at the girl and shrugged.
"I don't remember I must of hit my heard hard on the fall from the cliff. But thankyou for saving me."
The girl as if dissatisfied with the answer frowned at me she then looked up at the dragon then back at me.
"Would you like to come back to my city and we can figure out how to remove the crest at the church?"
Church i didn't know what that was but I don't think I was going to last out here if I was attacked once it's bound to happen again.
"Sure."
The girl smiled at me filling my body with warmth and a feeling of safety she helped me climb onto the dragon and as I was sitting behind her the woman felt as if she was slightly chuckling.
"What are you laughing about?"
"Oh I wasn't laughing just all the dust when Boromir takes off makes me cough."
***
"Oh how foolish I was."
