Chapter 37: Chapter 36 – The Mortal Who Stands Above Gods
The wind howled through the ancient ruins of the celestial battlefield. The once-proud domain of the gods was now silent, the echoes of battle still lingering in the air.
And at the center of it all… stood Frank Luminous.
He stretched his arms, letting out a lazy yawn. As if nothing had happened.
The remnants of the divine forces had long since fled. The so-called Supreme Beings had tried to erase him from existence, but in the end, they realized a painful truth—they had no power over him.
Frank's golden eyes flickered as he gazed at the empty sky.
"They still don't get it," he muttered.
He took a slow step forward. The ground beneath him trembled, not from force or intent, but simply because existence itself feared him.
In the far reaches of the divine realm, the gods still watched.
From within their pantheon, hidden beyond mortal sight, they observed in dread.
"He's moving."
Thalvion, the God of War, clenched his fists. "He could've destroyed us already. Why hasn't he?"
Elvaron, the God of Judgment, remained silent, his divine form trembling slightly. "…Maybe he doesn't see us as worth the effort."
The Supreme God narrowed his golden eyes. "Or maybe… he's waiting for something."
Frank, unaware of—or perhaps completely unconcerned by—their discussion, took a seat on a floating piece of rubble. He grabbed a book from his storage ring and flipped it open.
A small smirk formed on his lips.
The gods feared him. The entire world whispered his name in reverence and terror.
And yet, all he really wanted was to enjoy his peaceful days.
"…Too bad they keep making things difficult for themselves," he muttered.
The book's pages turned. The wind howled once more. And the gods watched in silence.
Frank Luminous—the man even gods feared—hadn't even begun to take things seriously.
