Chapter 306: Fighting The Mountain Giant
Meanwhile, Su Bolin led his legion toward the depths of the endless mountain range.
After traveling for another kilometer, they halted in their steps and wore grave expressions.
From a distance, they could feel a powerful pulsating heartbeat with the ground trembling.
Apart from that, they felt the surrounding mountains shift from their location in fear. Continue reading on M-V-L
Even though everything felt like an illusion, over a thousand soldiers couldn't all be wrong.
Moreover, they could see new paths unfolding before them, paving the way for the being coming toward them.
"What a strange mountain," Su Bolin muttered with a knitted brow.
"Prepare for battle," he commanded.
Even though the mountain range was bizarre and gave them goosebumps, as soldiers, they overcame their fear quickly.
Quickly, the legion formed a battle formation. The legion split into five groups, with each group placing the Rapid Fire Gun, the First and Second Generation Spirit Cannon before them.
Looking at the sleek and enchanting form of the teams, Su Bolin shivered silently.
He knew these beautiful machines were weapons of mass destruction.
Their sect master had changed the way they confronted their enemies. If you could produce a weapon that could wipe away your strongest foe, why bother fighting them with your cold weapon?
That was the statement that came out of Su Yen when he was asked why he was creating such deadly machines.
In the distance, coming out of the thick fog was a two-hundred-meter giant. It was a mountain giant with purple orb eyes.
However, its body was not like the traditional mountain body. Its body looked like bear fur.
It was intimidating and terrifying.
Just then, a name appeared in their minds.
Ancient Sealed Demon: Mountain Bear Giant.
Su Bolin and his men were running their bloodline power at full speed. Sweat was dripping off from their foreheads like a broken dam.
"Where are these terrifying demons coming from?" He couldn't help but mutter in astonishment.
If they were still the weak Su clan of the old times, facing such a terrifying monster would only yield one result: Death.
But now, things were different.
They stood their ground as they waited for the Mountain Bear to get within their attacking range.
While Su Bolin and his men were looking at the Mountain Bear Giant, likewise, the Mountain Bear Giant was looking at the puny humans in the distance.
They were so tiny that it could barely see them. Having been sealed for thousands of years, it needed a lot of energy to recover its power.
And what was the best place to get energy to recover to its peak? By feasting on humans.
Moreover, those that sealed them were humans. Thus, they were already mortal enemies.
Without thinking twice, it walked toward the humans. Each of its legs covered fifty meters' distance.
In just two steps, the Mountain Bear Giant had covered half of the distance in a blink.
Su Bolin and his legion held a pensive gaze. He was ready to test how strong the mountain bear giant was.
"Get the Lightning Spirit Cannon ready," he commanded without looking at his men.
The Lightning Spirit Cannon was the First Generation Spirit Cannon, while the Thunder-X Spirit Cannon was the Second Generation.
The soldiers moved at quick speed, positioning the Lightning Spirit Cannon at the incoming Mountain Bear Giant.
"Ready! Ready!" Su Bolin's voice reverberated through the strangely quiet mountain forest.
The Mountain Giant was already upon them, and it had already raised its mountain hand into a fist ready to smash them into pulp.
"Fire!!!!" He shouted.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
A thunderous sound reverberated through the endless mountain range, sending shivers to those beasts or beings in the shadow.
The incoming Mountain Giant halted in its tracks as a powerful force slammed into its body.
The force was so great that it took a couple of steps back, and with each step, a deep crack appeared on the ground.
Just because the lightning cannon was effective against Kraken did not make it any less dangerous.
Kraken was a terrifying demon with monstrous regenerative power. Its hide could absorb the piercing force and the powerful vibration from the Lightning bullets.
However, the Mountain Bear Giant didn't have such an ability. Apart from the terrifying physical power and bloodline suppression, it had nothing to withstand the deadly lightning bullets.
Even though the lightning bullet had not penetrated its mountain body, the horrifying force from the bullet was giving the Mountain Bear Giant a hellish time.
For the Mountain Bear Giant, it couldn't understand what was happening. The humans were not attacking him personally but were using a strange artifact.
'Who did they get their hands on such a divine artifact?' It also came to the same conclusion as the Kraken.
To them, only a divine artifact would have such deadly power.
Realizing they might possess a Divine Artifact, its expression changed.
The Mountain Bear looked at the surrounding mountains and reached out its hand to grab a big mountain as if it were picking a small stone.
Whoooosh!
It threw the mountain toward Su Bolin and his men.
"Incoming!" A soldier shouted.
Su Bolin had broken through to the Core Refining realm stage before embarking on this mission.
Thus, his strength had increased by leaps and bounds.
Whoosh!
He jumped to the sky and unsheathed his sword; behind him, the black pagoda materialized.
He swung his sword in an arc, and a powerful silver light came out of his sword.
Bang!
The sword light destroyed the mountain, turning it into rubble.
Realizing its attack had been destroyed, the Mountain Bear Giant didn't hesitate to throw another mountain.
However, instead of stopping after the first throw, it picked more mountains and threw them all at once.
Tension filled the air as they watched the sky filled with massive mountains flying toward them.
With a solemn expression, Su Bolin shouted.
"Rapid-Fire!"
"Switch to Thunder-X Cannon."
He issued two commands in quick succession.
In a blink, the atmosphere changed as the Rapid-Fire Gun came to life.
Ra-Ta-Ta-Ta-Ta!
Thousands of bullets that could Foundation Building realm warriors filled the sky.
If that was all, the Mountain Bear Giant would not have felt a cold shiver down its spine.
The moment the Thunder-X cannon came to life, the atmosphere changed once again.
It was as if hell was about to be unleashed.
And indeed, hell was going to be unleashed.
