Chapter 8: Chapter 7: Auntie?
"Rick, Eros, Roni, take care of yourselves," Lily said with tears in her eyes.
"Of course, we will survive and come back," Rick answered confidently, "Have I ever lied to you?"
"I will pray for you, please come back alive," having closed the tree trunk, only the three of them remained in the clearing.
"What are the chances of our victory?" Eros asked, moving away from the tree, "I do not know the exact level of strength of these five."
"Zero," answered Roni in a sad voice.
"As I thought," Eros said with a heavy sigh, "Then we have only one chance to win."
"Hm?" Roni looked towards him.
"It is to knock them out one by one." Eros said while looking at the ground.
"One by one, but how?"
"Play on their self-confidence!"
"Self-confidence?"
"Yes," nodded Eros, looking at both of them, "Most likely, they will consider me the most dangerous opponent, after what I showed and the fact that I was able to kill the master, and you are small fry."
"Um ... We are not weaklings …"
"You are weaklings, and I am a weakling, and after being wounded, I will be worse than you."
"And what do you mean, "play on their self-confidence"?" asked Roni. "I think that four mages will be sent against me at once, and the last one will attack you and you will have to defeat him, by any means."
"I think I understand," Rick said thoughtfully, "You want us to distract and kill one enemy at a time, while you distract the rest, right?"
"Yes, and I understand that it will be very difficult for you, but there is no other choice," Eros said with a sigh, "If we attack together, we will simply quickly lose, and now time and territory are in our favor. We still have at least an hour, maybe two, to prepare for their arrival."
"You're right," Roni nodded, "Then let's get started."
An hour and a half later, they were already in full combat readiness. Eros sat, leaning against a tree with his eyes closed, preparing for what was possibly the last battle.
He was restoring the lost magical power, which during the journey was automatically spent enhancing regeneration. Roni and Rick looked around, expecting an unexpected attack.

~~Rustle
Five people appeared in front of them, one woman and four men, in similar dark blue robes with a red pattern running along the chest.
"Oh, where are the kids?" a woman with long blue hair, full lips and a neat small nose asked with joy in her voice. She could only be described with one word, "beauty", especially her long legs and large breasts. "Tell your older sister and then she will kill you quickly, and if you lie, then your sister will be offended at you."
"Auntie, we don't know where they are," Rick answered with a shrug.
"A-auntie?! WHERE DID YOU SEE THIS AUNTIE, YOU LITTLE BASTARD!" she exclaimed with fury, taking a step forward, but she was stopped by a man standing in front of her, with short gray hair and a pale complexion.
"Calm down Melinda, they just want to piss you off," he said in an emotionless voice.
"But... HE DARE CALL ME AUNTIE! DID YOU HEARD THAT?"
"Shut up already," and no longer paying attention to his screaming partner, he turned his gaze to the three of them, "You have come a long way, but this is where your escape ends and you only have two paths, quietly return back to the guild or die here, and we will find the rest of the children and kill them as well."
"We choose the third one."
"The third one?"
"Yes," Eros grinned, looking at Rick and Roni, "We will kill you and leave together."
"If so, then we have nothing more to talk about."
"That's right."
"Melinda, Wolf, kill those two, and leave this one with red hair to us."
'So they won't underestimate us, well, that's too bad.' Eros thought, and looking at his partners, "Plan number two."
"Yes," both nodded seriously.
"Try to deal with them quickly, I can't defeat three at once."
"Okay, the main thing is to survive, we'll try to get back very quickly!" Roni said in a serious voice. Both turned their backs to each other and ran in different directions, releasing fireballs along the way, setting the forest on fire.
"MY LONG-TONGED LITTLE ONE!" the woman exclaimed angrily, and a green magic circle lit up under her feet and she disappeared, leaving only small swirls of air in the place where she had stood before.
"As you wish," a bass voice sounded from a two-meter-tall man with short dark hair, closed eyes and a scar on his chin. A brown magic circle appeared under him and he sank into the ground.
'A mage of earth and wind! You can't find worse opponents for a fire mage, and the traps I've prepared will be of little use against them.' Eros thought anxiously. 'Okay, now I need to think about my own skin, not about others.' Eros turned his gaze to the remaining three mages.
"Tell me, did you really kill the master?" asked a guy standing behind the man, about twenty years old, with bright blond hair and a smile from ear to ear.
"Yes, I killed that creature."
"Wow! That's cool!" he exclaimed joyfully. "And the dagger, where is it? I searched the entire guild and all the people, but never found it."
"I have it," and in confirmation, he pulled it out of his pocket.
"Thank God you have it," the magician said with relief, "Give it to me."
"Why don't you go somewhere far away?" Eros chuckled, pointing his index finger at him.
The magician abruptly moved to the side, and the tree behind him acquired a hole ten centimeters in size.
"Oh, that's your invisible bullet, an interesting spell," the pale-faced magician nodded thoughtfully, "And indeed, as Nori said, this attack is worth fearing, otherwise you won't even notice how you kick the bucket."
"We agreed that you wouldn't touch us." Eros stated looking at him.
"You agreed with that fool," the merry fellow chuckled, "Shadow Magic: Thorns!"
Eros rolled sharply and dodged the shadow thorns that jumped out from under his feet.
"Not bad reactions."
"It's not about reactions, but about the fact that you yell loudly, and just by the name, one can understand what your spell is," Eros said in a voice full of contempt, "Be smarter, uncles, learn not to yell the name of spells, but to silently perform them," Eros fired another bullet again, but it was easy for the enemies to dodge.
"The kid is right!" The third one with short green hair, brown eyes and a sword hanging behind his back laughed, "Your techniques are really very predictable, not like mine."
"Whose side are you on anyway?!"
"Hey, I just agreed with his words, and you should learn from him."
"YOU! How dare you put me on the same level as this little thing?" the shadow mage exclaimed with fury "I will show you what it means to be a B-rank mage! Shadow Magic: Shadow Tentacles!"
From every shadow around Eros, dark tentacles began to crawl out, as thick as a grown man's arm, and quickly approached him.
Eros tried to dodge them all, but there were too many shadows and after a couple of seconds, he was cornered.
Without thinking twice, he took out a dagger and sharply cut one of the approaching tentacles. What happened next made him freeze. After all, all the tentacles around him instantly disappeared.
"Darkie, answer us a question," the pale-faced man's serious and at the same time angry voice sounded, "What kind of dagger is this? You wanted it more than anyone, and if you try to lie to us, then you will definitely not leave in one piece!"
"Um…" the merry fellow shook with fear, "I... I will tell you everything, Mr. Juro, but let's finish our business here first."
"Hmm…" the pale-faced man glanced at him for just a moment, "Okay, but just try to lie or run away, I won't care that we are in the same guild and will kill you immediately."
Eros himself felt a sense of shock, because he immediately understood what kind of ability this dagger had. As soon as the spell was dispelled, he felt a stormy flow of Magic Power filling his reserve to the brim.
'Damn! That bastard Karl had such a treasure in his hands, and he didn't use it for its intended purpose!' Eros exclaimed in shock in his mind, 'A dagger that can dispel magic of at least B-rank while absorbing the magic power spent on creating the spell and transferring it to the owner.'
"Don't think that since you own such a toy, you can defeat us."
"I didn't think about that, I understand that it will be very little, but," Eros grinned, sticking his tongue out at the three and ran in the opposite direction, because the place where they were standing was already quite dangerous, since the forest was already burning for at least a kilometer. But he had nothing to worry about, because the fire was burning in the opposite direction from where the children were hiding.
"He ran away …" the merry fellow summed up.
"And what are you standing there for, let's go after him!" the third member of the group shouted.
"We must catch up with him and kill him by any means necessary," Juro said, frowning, jumping onto one of the burning trees, and began to quickly jump from one to another, followed by a man with green hair.
Only the guy using shadows remained standing in place. "I'll kill you! Because of this bastard, everyone found out about the dagger's ability, and I tried so hard to hide it from everyone, even from the master, who until the end thought that it was an ordinary dagger! I must get it by any means necessary, before anyone finds out about its last ability!" the entire clearing was engulfed in oppressive darkness, the shadows seemed to come to life, they clung to him and swallowed him.
