Chapter 40: The Mission of Saving the Little Tiger
Its bloody big mouth almost bit Chen B-Dog’s neck and the stinking saliva almost splashed on his face. At this distance, it was too late to punch or kick.
In such situation, Chen B-Dog quickly stamped his feet fiercely.
Unexpectedly, with his feet-stamp, the snow rippled and flew everywhere. It spread out like a shockwave when the meteors hit the earth. His standing position was changed from an extreme dormant position to extreme active position, like a Ferrari super sports car which sped up out of sudden.
“Eight Extreme Fist, Shoulder Charge!”
“Bang”, his shoulder knocked the wolf leader heavily and it caused a heavy thud. The tremendous impact caused the wolf leader’s body to give cracking and crushing sound like of a sack of dry branches which had been stepped by somebody. The wolf leader was thrown few meters away. It then fell down on the snow and rolled over. At last, it lied on the snow motionless.
Without resting, Chen B-Dog increased his speed fully. His body movement flashed like a ghost and rushed to the wolves which were still able to stand up. Then, the howling, screaming sounds could be heard non-stop.
After a while, there was no more movement.
An individual man without a hunting gun, only depending on two hunting knives, had killed the wolf pack with full confidence.
However, this might not be claimed as the killing. It was slaughtering!
An individual who had slaughtered the wolf pack!
Chen B-Dog took back his hunting knives elegantly and rubbed off the blood stain with the wolf skin. After performing the fancy style of rolling the hunting knives in the air, he put them back into the sheath.
Ignoring the dead wolf bodies over the ground, he patted off the snow on his coat and pretended nothing happened.
“He… is he still a human?”
When the slaughtering ended and the scene changed from active to quiet, the not very magnificent body figure was hidden under the heavy snow again. Finally, the audience in the live broadcast room recovered from the great shock and they had started to send the pop-up comments intensively.
No matter how big the eyes opened, no one could tell anything strange about the anchor. He had no exaggerated body muscle like Arnold Schwarzenegger. He was 184cm tall and even with the shoe heels that made him 186cm tall. At most, he could be called handsome which was healthy and vigor.
Aren’t handsome guys depending their look to earn a living nowadays? He was so handsome yet so strong. How could the others survive?
You could imagine the madness after excitement. Even the audience, who used to watch the live broadcast without paying any cents, could not help themselves to reload for few dollars and send the Rice Ball to B-Dog. By doing so, their names could have appeared on the public screen for few seconds then replaced by the others’ comment.
“Zhao Xin – The Wild Zone Pig Breeder treats anchor Chen B-Dog 1 Buddha Jumps over the Wall.”
“Qing Biqing sends 100 Grilled Fish to anchor Chen B-Dog.”
“Freelance Cowboy sends 5 million Bamboos to anchor.”
“President Wang treats anchor Chen B-Dog 20 Buddha Jumps over the Wall” and he left the message “What happened just now? Did I miss anything?”

There were more people invaded into the live broadcast room when they received the news. When they saw the wolves’ dead bodies and a dead tiger lying on the snow, they kept asking what had happened.
But the pop-up comments were too fast refreshed. Even though there were people trying to explain, they might not able to read it. The Panda server had encountered the unprecedented lag. And suddenly the screen went black… It was all gone.
The backend of Panda was stunned. Everybody was worried. Fan Fanfan even skipped her dinner and directly went to technical department valiantly and shouted, “What are you guys doing? Quickly divert the pop-up comments! I can tolerate the lag during normal days. But now you all are even showing me a black screen. What do you mean? If you have any opinions, just tell me. It is still the same even after the open beta for more than a month? What is the point of the company keeping you?”
After a while the pop-up comments had finally calmed down and the scenes were reconnected.
The scene was showing Chen B-Dog in doubt and trying to adjust the camera, “Is it okay now? Can you guys see me? Still lagging?”
If he asked this question without the dead bodies behind him, everyone would believe it was the daily lag problem which happened to a normal outdoor anchor. But now, it looked peculiar. The audience was full of doubts and their admiration could be easily told from their face. They wished to ask the anchor face to face, but now they could only keep sending the pop-up comments.
Chen B-Dog relieved, “There’s no more lag, right? That’s great. The problem is not from my side. My broadcast signal is always good. I guess it is the lagging from Panda’s server. Room administrator, are you there? Is it fixed? If you are short of servers, let me know. I can provide a super server and I can guarantee no more lag even with all the pop-up comments.”
He meant it. The technical backstage of Panda had received his contact information. To Dog Egg, this was just a piece of cake.
“Bravo. Lord B-Dog, cool consolation.”
“President, please supervise them.”
“What are you doing? We have almost six million audiences but only these few servers?”
The room supervisor, Fan Fanfan immediately apologized, “I am sorry. The server lagged just now and we have added a few new servers in time. If you still have a lagging problem, please right click the screen and go to the alternate channel. Mobile phone users please click on the upper right corner of the full screen and go to the alternate channel.”
Chen B-Dog said, “Okay, it is all right now.”
After going through the buffering, the bloody atmosphere was watered down. “Nature has its own rules. Survival of the fittest is always being my principal. In fact, I should have fled upon seeing the wolf pack’s hunting. I should not get involved. Even it is a rare wild Siberian tiger. The wolf pack is the most ferocious animal. I hesitated for a long time before I decided to take this adventure. Eventually, I have decided to attack and I have my reasons.”
He carried the camera and walked into the dark tiger cave. The air was quite fresh. It seemed like this Siberian tiger was pretty hygiene.
He switched on the night mode and the cave was brightened at glance. There were two crying tiger cubs sticking their heads out from the hay. Their eyes were still closed. The tiger cubs were small like the kittens and they had yellow and black hair on their bodies. Even the Chinese character, Wang (it could be translated as King) on their foreheads was looming. They sensed Chen B-Dog approaching and opened their mouths in confusion, sticking out their tongues, “Meow~”
“…”
The audience felt the tiger cubs were so adorable. At the same time, they realized the reason why the tiger mother was fighting desperately. It was protecting her kids! The audience, who was easily touched, felt extremely touched in no time.
Some people even blamed Chen B-Dog for not coming out earlier to save the tiger mother. It was… ridiculous indeed!

If I have entered the battlefield before their fight, I would probably be torn up by both Siberian tiger and the wolf pack at the same time.”
“I am not a good man. My main mission is to keep myself safe in the wild. In all matters, one should act according to one’s abilities! What I could do is becoming the oriole. You could see for yourselves just now, even if the wolf pack is incomplete, I had almost lost my life. If it were you, I think you would have been shocked and already peed in your pants. Honestly, I was so terrified just now that I have almost peed a few drops. Luckily my willpower is strong enough.”
“So please try to understand my difficulty. Let’s stop this topic. Okay?”
He explained sincerely. After all, the audience who purposely created the discussion flow was the minority. Majority still maintained the wisdom of normal people. Besides, the audience in the live broadcast room was actively responding to him.
“Be reasonable. I thought the anchor was committing suicide just now. You are good enough to pee only a few drops under this scary circumstance.”
“Virgin Marys, please stop. Do you really think anchor is invincible? Didn’t you hear Lord B-Dog said he was too scared and peed in his pants?”
“Lord B-Dog will be frightened also. How many drops have you peed?”
“You are so cool just now. That is the real Kungfu. In this world, who else has the courage to kill the wolf pack with two knives? One more question. Lord B-Dog, what is the feeling to pee a few drops?”
“Ah, seriously few drop? Then you have to wash your underwear quickly. It is so dirty.”

Chen B-Dog was speechless. Why did the topic go awry again?
He saw the screen was full with the comments of “How many drops?” so he decided to ignore them.
“The average lifespan of a tiger is 10 to 15 years. In the zoo, the tiger normally can live for 16 to 20 years old. When they are sexually matured at 2 to 3 years old, they will get pregnant for 2 or 3 babies, at most 5 babies. However, normally, one would have died at birth.”
“These two tiger cubs were just born. If no one takes care of them on time, they probably can’t survive until tomorrow. And here is the question. If I am going to take care of them, it would definitely make my journey more difficult. But if I am going to abandon these two kids, I think you guys will tear me alive. You guys will rather let me starve instead of the tiger cubs. Right?”

Chen B-Dog knew it and he nodded his head. “So, tonight’s task is very important.”
“I will leave the camera here temporarily. Please help me to take care of them. The sky has gone dark completely and the snow is getting heavier. If the snow doesn’t stop tomorrow, it will affect my next journey plan directly. I have to prepare some reserves.”
He left the camera in the cave and put down his bag. He ran back to move the bonfire here and searched for the firewood and grass to put aside.
He did not forget the dead wolf and dead tiger bodies out there.
There were so many dead animals here. If he did not clean it in time, he would not have a good rest tonight.
