Spain
17 years now! I'm coming in rhetoric, last year of high school and final year holidays!
I've grown horribly and I'm 10 meters long! I have to crawl so much that as a suit, I have a mechanic's skateboard on my stomach to pass just under the doors. This is critical. I can't take the bus anymore, I can't go into the shops, just pass my head and then again!
The difficulties began.
It is true that I no longer touched the grimoire, I lived my life as a student as best I could and often had crises of grief with my friends. I had to stay on the doorstep of the house, or we would party in a garage or under a tent.
I had to say goodbye to my beautiful room and when I had to leave it I was mad with grief.
All I had left were the shopping malls, in the corridors and markets...
My horns were growing too. I turned into an adult dragon and the standing posture became very high and frightening even more.
I only went to town in groups and the pastry budget was tight.
I was going to have to walk on the road soon and no longer on the sidewalk.
The number of journalists was increasing and I decided that any interview would have to be paid for.
They were not happy but I replied that it was to continue eating candy, waffles and ice cream with my friends and still have a semblance of humanity. I was well aware of the constraints.
Journalists always saw me as the young girl trapped in a nightmare body.
I said I was like Rayponce and the tower was my body. Then I was asked if I was in love with someone but I answered that not yet but I didn't want to live alone. I was waiting for my knight! I wanted someone who loved the Emily in me, who accepted the dragon in me but who would love me for the human being that I am and not for the dragon.
I had love letters in my locker every day and, if I rejected them, because I didn't feel ready, I greatly appreciated the gesture and if I didn't have my little letter, I was sad then.
Feeling wanted even as a dragon dragoness gave me the energy to go on living.
Then came the day of the graduation trip and it was Spain, Seville and Granada!
I was allowed to go to Spain but I was suspicious of the royal family, of fine big game hunters, of elephant killers.
I had to "Follow" the plane by flying by myself. It took me 2 days to get there and a small tent with a pouffe was all I had for a room. I had a hose for water and toilet but I had to pee naturally!
But it was hot and thirsty! the oranges mmm what a delight! the chorizo, ... We visited the gypsy district and the castanets shows, the Alhambra and Charles V's palace, and finally I had access to the gardens and the inner courtyard, nothing else.
I was looking out the windows. My friends were nice not to spread out over what I couldn't see and they always showed me their pictures and selfies.
For that, all the Spaniards and children wanted to do a selfie and often in exchange for drinks for my friends I let the children climb on me and take pictures.
We managed to balance the monster snack budget, which was monstrous, but I shared and they also benefited from it.
Then it was Seville, its markets, its flowered city and the Flower Festival where every girl from an unmarried family had to have a dress made of flowers and look for a rider to dance in the evening.
I saw myself covered in flowers and it made me dream.
There were also medieval forges and lots of decorative accessories for my barn/room.
I then had many ideas that came to me: wrought iron flare torches, black steel bull, imitation horns and dragon swords... I took a rapier with 2 hands on one leg and it was very heavy!
I was trying if the blade cut me, but it was fake! Then, the mountain where I could sunbathe and make my red even brighter.
I was rolling in the snow and ice and it didn't matter to me, well, a little bit, I wasn't an ice dragon...
The UV rays made me feel good and I was having a picnic with Michèle and Nicole. We were fine there. Then we went back to Seville and I wanted to attend a bullfight. It was open and the spectators were looking at me more than the bull.
After the show that excited me with all that blood and mountain of meat in front of me, I was drooling.
The organizer came to me so that I could put a bull to death and it would be devoured by me.
I started crying in front of the cameras:
"I'm not a beast or a beast or a beast. I'm still human!"
People applauded.
But the organizer (a lackey of the royal family) told me that I was hunting and that I had my hunting license.
"Yes, I hunt, but not for pleasure! It's like you when you go to the butcher's. You don't slaughter the steak on your plate. You eat it. End of story."
I didn't want to tarnish my image, but the overexcited people asked me to kill an ox.
"Would you ask your 17-year-old Seniorita to do that?"
A bullfighter woman appeared, a 16-year-old girl. "It's a tradition here, Emily..."
I then called Luc who approved against all odds. "Stay dignified, my darling! And do the right thing."
I flew all around the arena and the ox was dropped into the arena. He was a fierce beast. I turned around and he threatened me with his horns. I stung with my stinger and waited for it to collapse painlessly. I stroked the dying ox and grabbed his horns and crack a quarter turn and he was dead without a drop of blood. A clean, painless death.
People applauded.
I was asked if I had any poison and said yes. Curare! Like the Indians did.
I returned to my seat to attend the end of the show.
Then reporters would ask me what effect my poison has: "It anaesthetizes but doesn't kill"
People were reassured. I wasn't a monster.
We went back to the hotel and packed our bags and I was about to say goodbye to the handsome guys who were in the hotel when several police vans and an anti-aircraft tank arrived at the hotel.
We were pointed at and the tank pointed its cannon at me. I crashed to the ground, without moving.
An officer arrested me, Nicole and Michèle and the young men who were helping us with the luggage. The others who had not been to the bullfight were released a few hours after their deposition.
On the other hand, I was taken on a flatbed truck with chains on my legs to a prison barracks. All our belongings had been confiscated and our mobile phones first.
Why? Why?
I was put in a large cage with a basin of water, a drain and straw. My friends, in a cell.
I had to warn Luc, my father.
But I was being filmed. It was the first time I had been deprived of my freedom. They also wanted to take my clothes, but I screamed. Not naked! Not naked!
Then I was left with my loincloth and veil. My only remaining dignity.
The school was shocked and the only explanation was reason of state.
It was Easter and I was devastated... They wanted to treat me like an animal, but I begged to have a padre. I was a fervent believer and I had a visit from a prison padre but he guaranteed my rights as a prisoner...
I cried when I said that I had done nothing or hurt anyone.
The nightmare was happening again.
