“Yes, General, they’re ready for the hunt.”

“You’ll be taking on billions. I have vaporizers at your disposal.”

“Negative, sir. We’ve already designated the first targets. No vaporizers required.”

“So, what’s your plan, Commander?”

“On this planet, they call them rural areas or villages—the most defensive.”

“Oh, like our badlands? Rogues armed with vaporizers.”

“That’s correct, sir. Once we recruit them, the entire civilization should fall.”

“Recruit and not annihilate?”

“Yes, sir, we’ve devised a clever scheme to offer them the ultimate freedom.”
