Chapter 3: Ch3.
I wake up the next morning to the sounds of chattering in the distance. Rubbing my eyes with the back of one hand, I prop myself up with the other.
It's nice and early the sun is just beginning to rise. Looking around, I try to find the source of the chattering.
I see a crowd of men with multiple wagons with tarps on top of them. From the tree I make my way to them to see if they can tell me where I am or which part of heaven I'm in. Should I even ask them? They're strangers… Should I? I should though, shouldn't I? Nervously, I run to them and as I get nearer I shakily yell, "H…HH..HEY! HEY! GUYS! COULD YOU HELP ME OUT HERE?"
The nearer I got to them the more I could see the looks on their faces. They're looking at me as if I was speaking some other language they couldn't get.
They're wearing tunics like I am but just cleaner with sandals on as well. They're guys. Pretty muscular and tall too. They seem to be equipped with swords and shields as well. Warriors perhaps? But why would you need warriors in heaven? Well whatever. Out of breath, I finally get to them.
"Hh..hey…Hi…Uhh" I say in a low voice as I pant, "D…do you happen to know where we are?" I ask as my eyes lock onto the grass beneath us. I start fidgeting with the hem of my tunic, seeing that my awkward little interaction was unsuccessful.
"Ss..so uh… yeah… aaa..aa.any uhm clues?" I manage to stutter the words out of my mouth.
The men talk amongst themselves as they look at me confused. In a split second I feel a force on the back of my neck. The world inverts as my body hits the floor and my consciousness fades.
I wake back up in a cold sweat. It's dark and humid. I look around me as my eyes adjust to the darkness. I try standing up, but I immediately hit my head on the top of whatever I'm in, sending me straight back onto the floor. I reach out into the darkness and feel cold steel bars. It's almost like a little prison cell.
I keep feeling around until I eventually realize it's a cage I'm in. Almost like a dog kennel but just bigger. What in the world is happening to me? I get sent to another world as an elf girl and now I'm locked up in a cage?
I try to calm myself down by recollecting my memories and seeing what could've happened. My hands shake as my body quivers, I'm cold and I can't seem to stop shaking.
As I think and think I finally remember. Those men must've hit me on the back of my head to knock me out. Then they probably took me here, whatever the heck this place is.
Looking around the dark room, I see other cages. Though there are a bunch of other cages, they're empty.
"Is anyone there?" I try calling out.
I get no response. It's just me here then. No point in tugging at the cages then too, right? I try tugging a little bit. Yup, as I thought, it's locked.
There's this annoying dripping sound coming from inside this room too. Plop. Plop. Plop. Will it just shut up?
I can't tell how much time passed by, but I've definitely been here for a while. Suddenly the room is illuminated by the sunlight that pours in from the main door opening. The flash of sunlight blinds me as I rub my eyes to regain my vision.
I see one of the big brute guys who I tried talking to before I got knocked out. Beside him are two other people. One tall male and another female beside him. They look alike wearing nicer clothes than both me and the brute. Though they're a distance away, I can hear them chatting. From inside the cage, it sounds like complete gibberish. My hearing is probably just bad.
Unlike the brute however, the siblings are wearing finer clothes. They look silkier and are perfectly white. On their backs, they had this other flowy garment. It was perfect white too with purple lines, writings, and symbols on it. The writings didn't look like anything familiar either.
The brute walks over to my cage and unlocks it. He then grabs my wrist and yanks me out of the cage.
"HEY! Watch it you meathead!"
The brute continues looking at me in confusion. The two siblings approach me as they speak a strange language to me. I can't comprehend what they're saying at all. It doesn't sound like any language I've heard before. The writings on their clothes didn't look like anything familiar either.
"Huh? What're you trying to say?"
More gibberish comes out of their mouths. Maybe they speak a different language in this world then? I get closer to the siblings but as I am approaching them, the brute grabs my arm and jerks me back.
The male sibling suddenly yells at the brute and the brute gets away from me. He approaches me, grabbing my arm and examining it. Now since he's closer, I can get a better look at him. He has short curly golden blonde hair. His eyelashes are blonde as well. He looks to be muscular but not the big kind of muscular like the brute, he's lean and toned.
He quickly runs back to the female and says something to her. He then orders the brute to do something.
The brute walks to the back of the room and grabs a pair of rock handcuffs. They look extremely heavy and rough. Not the polished metal kind you'd see a cop using but a big slab of stone shaped into cylinders type of handcuffs.
I try to crawl back towards the wall but before I know it, I'm cuffed, blind folded and walking out the room. The blindfolds are taken off when I reach outside.
Trees and valleys are all there is to see aside from the building I was just in. Looking around, it was just like the scenery I had seen near the apple tree. The siblings then carry me to their wagon. I try to squirm around but I suddenly remember that these people could just knock me out again, so I stop trying.
They had a grand and fancy chariot with a nicer wooden wagon attached to it. Much nicer than the first one I'd seen. Umph, was the sound I made when they threw me into the wagon. Can these people really not get any gentler?
Just as I try to get back up to sit straight, I feel a familiar feeling on the back of my head. The world inverts once again and my consciousness slips away. How does this keep happening to me???
