EJ in Love

Chapter 5: Don't Label Me

EJ

Dad and Pa loudly sang to 'We are the champions' by 'Queen' as they drove us home after my big win. I was excited, do not get me wrong, but they seemed to be living off my team's high as the speakers blared causing vibrations to spread throughout the car.

Even though I was twenty-three they always managed to still make me feel like I was twelve after one of my primary school matches. Dad had taken the role of a 'soccer mum' so strictly that I did not think there was a game he had ever missed throughout my primary and high school career.

I always somehow was seated in the back seat as they would congratulate me of my win over and over again. Pa would break into thorough detail about how I played as if he was a sports anchor and for someone who did not even know how to hold a rugby ball correctly he could have been a sports journalist.

"Want to go out and get sushi!" Pa smiled back at me from the passenger seat, "You deserve it! Mister Team Captain."

I let out a laugh, "I want to go home, take a long shower and eat whatever you want to cook."

"You'd think you'd be wanting to go out! Painting the town red," Dad gasped, "If not then we'll take you clubbing."

I let out a snort as I covered my face with my hands, "No one is going to ever take me seriously if they see me clubbing with my Pa and Dad!"

"Oh," Pa held his hands up, "We wouldn't want that now would we. All the boys, girls and whatever else you like won't ever want to talk to you again because you went clubbing with your old parents. We would ruin your reputation."

I rolled my eyes, "They'd be all over you two and not focus on me. I can't afford that."

They both burst out laughing as we continued with our banter. When we got home Vasilisa and Oksana were happily waiting for us with a 'Congratulations board'.

"Thank you Sana," I beamed as I swept her into my arms as she let out a loud laugh. Even though she was fourteen she weighed the same as a ten year old and that always left me tempted to throw her about.

"If you pick me up I will kill you," Vasilisa glared as I kissed her cheek.

"Oh I've been threatened with death plenty of times today, I don't need more," I beamed. Just as we were about to head to the kitchen Demyan came down as he threw confetti.

"Our champion," he threw himself in my arms and I caught him like the graceful ballerina he was. I was huge but Demyan weighed enough to nearly snap my spine in half. You would not think he was twenty-five just by looking at him.

With laboured breaths I carried him to the kitchen. Dad and Pa immediately started whipping up pancakes and a tonne of bacon since that was my Win meal by choice. It was close to midnight but it never really mattered.

"Kyle texted me and told me he's having a rager at his place," Demyan grinned after we had our extremely late dinner. Everyone had gone to bed but we decided to head outside by the pool as we lounged by the pool side chairs as we had a few beers as our form of a celebration party.

"You've only been here for a day," I laughed, "You can't be partying it up now. You're going to be a father in eight months."

You would think Demyan would be jumping in the air clicking his heels together but he glared at the pool before gulping down his beer and taking another one. "Just because I'm having a baby doesn't mean I can't party."

"And what are you doing having chats with Kyle?" I quirked my left eyebrow, "You two weren't on talking basis last time I checked."

He shrugged, "We met at a party in Russia. Just sort of hit it off cause you two are nationals together."

Without making a sound I snatched Demyan's phone from his hands which made him groan. I went straight to his messages with Kyle and instantly gasped. "What the fuck? This doesn't look like two friends just having a chat."

He grabbed his phone from me with a scowl, "We're just talking!"

"Yes because him saying how hot you looked at the party is just a chat. Demyan you shouldn't be leading him on when you have Malia."

He waved his hands as if tired of the conversation, "I told you it's nothing. Kyle isn't even gay. Not that I would have considered doing anything with him but he is just nice to look at."

I whistled as I shook my head, "You're just interested in him because he looks like Ethan. I don't know how the hell you got yourself wrapped up in Malia when you're gay."

"I'm not gay," he snapped, "I'm bisexual. Don't label me."

"Just because you can get your peepee up for Malia doesn't mean you're attracted to her like that."

"If I wasn't attracted to her she wouldn't be pregnant," he glared, "I'm very much a red blooded man who is attracted to women and don't even hint something is going on between Kyle and I. I would never cheat on Malia. She's my light. She fixed me. I wouldn't betray her trust like that."

"Let's see if you're still thinking like that after you see Ethan for his CEO welcome party."

"Ethan and I are done news."

"You say that every time but you're always eager to spread your legs for him." That was all I managed to say before he picked me up and tossed me into the pool. I let out a loud laugh. The cold water felt electrifying on my skin. "You're playing dirty mate!"

"Don't insult me ever again," he barked, "Are we going to Kyle's party or not?"

Seeing that Demyan was close to the tipping point I simply nodded. He looked like he needed a good drink.
